Setting Up A Port Forward For Playstation 4 Broadcast
You might need to forward some ports in your router when you use PlayStation 4 Broadcast. A port forward allows incoming connection requests from the internet to go straight to PlayStation 4 Broadcast.
Routers generally do not allow incoming connection requests from the internet. Forwarding ports can work around this limitation.
How To Open Ps4 Slim
After learning how to open PS4 basic console, lets open the PS4 Slim to remove unwanted dust from the fan and the smaller parts of your device.
After logging off your device, start following these steps carefully.
Step 1: Open the top panel with care.
Step 2: To remove the hard drive, unscrew the screw.
Step 3: Now, the warranty sticker should be removed safely.
Step 4: You can now notice one screw underneath the sticker. Remove it with the help of Torx T8.
Step 5: Remove the bottom case. Carefully lift up two corners of the case.
Step 6: Remove the visible screw with the help of PH0
Step 7: Turn your device over and remove the top cover.
Step 8: Disconnect the power supply.
Step 9: Remove the Wi-Fi antenna safely.
Step 10: Unscrew several screws with the help of PH0 and Torx T8.
Step 11: Create a gap between the power supply and the cover with the help of a sharp object.
Step 12: Lift up the power supply.
Step 13: Now, the cable should be removed from the motherboard.
Step 14: Remove the Wi-Fi antenna from the motherboard.
Step 15: All the cables should be turned off now.
Step 16: Now, you need to unscrew at least 30 screws.
Step 17: Remove the metal panel.
Step 18: Disconnect the antenna from the metal panel after removing the second Wi-Fi.
Step 19: Remove the mount after removing the two screws.
Step 20: Now, the motherboard should be disconnected from the four-pin connector.
Step 21: Remove the motherboard from the case safely.
Step 26: Remove the metal panel easily.

Workaround 1:
EDIT: Fix is to turn any settings that have to do with cache to on. Lowering other settings as well. Ram test had zero errors. Overwatch 2 crashed A LOT, but after an update it completely stopped I think it may be poor optimization on IWs side.

Set Up A Static Ip Address On Ps4
If you have not already configured your PS4 to have a static IP address please complete this first. You must have a static IP address assigned to your PS4 console for port forwarding to work properly. This can easily be done with most routers by setting up a DHCP reservation. This is generally the easiest method of setting up a static IP address on your PS4. It will also avoid IP conflicts that can occur when a static IP address is incorrectly set up. You need to complete this step before configuring port forwarding on your PS4.
From within your routers dashboard will want to find your DHCP settings. On some routers this will be listed under LAN settings, on others it will be directly on the main dashboard. Your router will likely look a little different than mine, but most routers will have a DHCP settings page or menu. Once you find your DHCP settings page you will want to open it up.
Now from within your DHCP settings, you will want to find your PS4 in the list of connected devices. Depending on how many devices are connected to your router this list may be short or long. If you are unsure which device is your PS4 console you can look for the IPv4 address or MAC address that matches your console. It is very important that we correctly identify the device during this step.
At this point your PS4 has been set with a static IP address. There are no settings to change on the console when using this method, as the router handing the static IP automatically.

Find Your Routers Ip Address
The first step to setting up port forwarding is to locate the IP address of your router. It will generally begin with either 192, 172, or 10 and will likely end in 1.
You will need to complete these steps on your computer and not on the PS4 itself. You can use either a PC or Mac. It will work the same either way. If you do not have access to a computer, you could also use a tablet or smartphone. Using a computer is the best option given the small text on your router configuration settings page. If you do opt to use a smartphone or table just be extra careful not to accidently change settings you did not intend to change.
First open command prompt if you are on windows or terminal if you are on Mac. Type ipconfig into command prompt or ifconfig into terminal, then press enter.
Look for the result that says default gateway. Write this down as we will use this in the next steps.
What Exactly Is Nat
Both computers and servers communicate with each other using IP addresses. What is amazing is that there are around 4.3 billion IPV4 addresses altogether. This number wont change until IPV6 is fully deployed.
It may seem like 4.3 billion is a lot, but with a growing number of internet users, its simply not enough.
NAT guarantees that users wont find themselves in a difficult situation where there are absolutely no IP addresses available!
It will allow a router to act as an intermediary between both the internet and your private network. You can have only one public IP address in order to communicate with the internet, and multiple private IP addresses assigned for different devices on your network. This means that one IP address can cover the entire network.
NAT will convert public IP addresses into private ones and vice versa. If we want data to reach the correct recipient in computer networking we use ports. Each individual port corresponds to a different application. When you receive data packets to your device, your operating system will then discover a port number, meaning it knows the final destination.
This doesnt mean that you absolutely have to assign ports for every application all the time. A VPN automatically does that for you.
Altogether there are 3 different NAT types that are designed specifically for gaming consoles.

Does Port Forwarding Affect Other Devices
Port forwarding does not affect other devices on the network. It only affects the host devices connection and how it communicates with other devices on the internet. Therefore, it will not affect other devices connectivity or how they communicate with other devices on the internet.
Port forwarding creates a rule for specific ports, or entry points, on your router. A typical router has around 65,000 available ports.
When you create a port forward, you are providing your router with specific instructions on how to route the traffic that comes to specific ports.
If traffic comes into your router for which there is no port forwarding rule, then your router will handle the traffic using the standard NAT method. Therefore, setting up port forwards will only affect the relevant devices for which the rule was created. It will not affect the other devices on your network.
Setting Up The Port Forwarding
Ones logged in to your router you will need to find the port forwarding section. Now it depends on your router brand where you can find this, but the most common places are:
- Advanced and then Port Forwarding
- Applications and Gaming
- Advanced and then virtual server
- Firewall and then Port Forwarding
When you found the correct page on your router you will add a new forwarding rule. Below is a screenshot of the Edge Router X . Most routers will have a similar layout, you enter the Original port, this is the port number as listed by the application, then you required protocol, when in doubt, just set it to both.
The forward-to address or Ip Address is the network device you want to give access, in this case, the Ip Address of the PlayStation and the internal port number
If you need to open multiple ports you can, depending on your router, open a range, by entering 3074-3080 or multiple by separating them with a comma . If your router doesnt support it, then you will have to create multiple forwarding rules.
