Minecraft virtual reality is available on various platforms such as Windows mixed reality, Oculus Rift, Playstation, Xbox, etc. However, before we tell you how to play Minecraft in VR, let us tell you it has two versions. The Minecraft VR starter collection costs US$29.99, and the Minecraft VR master collection costs US$49.99. So now, lets take a look at the different platforms to play Minecraft for VR.

Play With Ps4 Friends In Minecraft

First of all, to play with friends online in Minecraft, each participant must have an active PlayStation Plus account. Along with this, a stable internet connection is recommended for a smoother experience.

Once you launch Minecraft, select “Multiplayer” from the lobby screen. If you choose Solo, you won’t be able to invite any friends to that particular server. After selecting Multiplayer, you will be presented with several different options.

  • LAN
  • Split screen

The most used option of the four is the online server. This option is also the easiest option for teaming up with your friends on your own server. Select the Online Server option and you will be transported to a new biome on a new server. Once in the new world, your friends can join you after sending them an invite. To do this, just tap the Touchpad and tap Square. You should see a list of your friends and from there you can choose which ones to invite to the server.

Once your friends are in, they can send their own invitations. However, since you are the one who started the server, your friends will only be able to play if you are online and on the server. If you log out, the server will also be logged out.

If you want to play with friends who have created their own server, tap the trackpad and then tap Triangle. This will bring up a list of all the invitations you have received. If you see the invitation on the correct server, hit the Accept button and you’ll be transported to the world.

This update comes complete with the Better Together update, which turns on full cross-play support across Windows, Xbox, VR, Switch, and mobile platforms. Mojang has come out on Twitter and claimed that they’ve found a potential fix for the log-in and content issues that players have been reporting. They’re advising players to restart their games fully and attempt the process again. However, we’ve seen many reports that the issues are not resolved yet, so are not updating our Known Issues list at this time. It does seem that the Minecraft Earth issue that we reported earlier is solved.

The Objective & Basic Controls In Minecraft

Before we get into how to play Minecraft, visit Minecraft.net to purchase and download the game. Minecraft is available on most modern platforms, consoles and smartphones.

For this guide, well be focusing on Minecraft on Windows, Mac, and Linux. But once you understand the basics, they can be applied to any version on any platform.

There isnt a main objective in Minecraft, but there is a certain flow of gameplay that is recommended for everybody. You start in this huge open world with nothing, and must gather materials from scratch to build yourself a shelter, get food, build a bed and survive until the next day.

From there, you can begin to go mining for valuable resources like iron ore and diamond to create powerful tools, weapons, and armor. As you play for longer, youll be able to explore the open world, find villages, loot hidden chests, and fight enemy creatures called mobs.

Before we begin with any of that though, we should take you through the basics.

Start by opening Minecraft. Click Singleplayer and then click Create New World.

Click the Game Mode button until Survival is visible. The fun starts in Survival mode, where you must survive and gather everything for yourself. We recommend you stick to the standard controls. Here is an overview:

Everything in Minecraft must be mined or crafted. So if you wanted to build tools for example, you must mine the base resources for them, and then craft them. It starts at the very basic level and goes from there.
