How To Clean Your Ps4 Controller
With sweaty palms, crumbs, and a plague of dust, keeping your PlayStation 4 controller clean can be a chore. From sanitizing to cleaning out the gunk lodged in between the creases, were here to show you how to clean your PS4 controller.

Ps4 Touch Pad Isn’t Working
If the touch pad isn’t working, try disconnecting and unpairing the controller for a few minutes. If this works, you’re back in play.
If not, the touch pad may need a quick cleanup.
If your controller’s touch pad stops working only during one particular game, it may be a game coding problem, so download the most recent version of the game.
Performing Xbox One Controller Repairs
Once you have successfully taken apart your Xbox One controller, you can attempt to make repairs. Some problems can be fixed by simply cleaning components, while other issues require you to replace components. In some cases, advanced skills like soldering are required to remove and replace components. Depending on your experience level, some of those repairs are better left to the professionals.
Other fixes are much simpler, like repairing or replacing the d-pad ring. If your d-pad isn’t responding correctly, try this quick fix:
Use a prying tool or tweezers to carefully pop off the spring steel d-pad ring.
Carefully lift up the arms on the d-pad ring so that they apply more pressure, and reassemble. If that doesn’t fix your problem, you may need a new d-pad ring.

Reasons To Take Apart A Ps4 Controller
There are a few reasons why your PS4 controller might benefit from being taken apart, and the first reason could be if the device has had some type of liquid spilled on it.
Taking it apart could enable the internal parts to dry faster in hopes that it will work again once its completely dry.
Another reason why you would take your PS4 controller apart is in order to replace a part that may be damaged. Some gamers disassemble their controllers in order to make cosmetic changes to them.
Regardless of the reason youve decided to disassemble your PS4 controller, you shouldnt allow the process to intimidate you, because once you get started, you will see just how easy it can be to take it apart .
What To Do If Your Ps4 Controller Trackpad Is Not Working
Wait for the controller to be COMPLETELY dry before attempting to turn it back on. Do not use the can of compressed air to speed this process up. You’re just going to end up pushing the water back into the controller.
Beyond that, a broken trackpad is cause for repair or replacement. However, it won’t do you any good to try and replace it because the part is not readily available. Also, you would potentially compromise your controller’s USB port since the trackpad is connected by the same ribbon that powers it.

How To Clean A Ps4 Controller’s Chassis
If you want to keep the exterior of your PS4 controller clean, here are some steps to follow:
Dealing With The Details
After a general sweep of the controller, its time to deal with the dirty details. For this process, youll want to ditch the water and be sure to have isopropyl alcohol, cotton swabs, and toothpicks handy. Unlike water, isopropyl alcohol isnt electrically conductive, so if a little slips into the guts of your controller, youre fine.
Starting with the cotton swab, soak it in isopropyl alcohol to fully saturate the tip. Then, work your way around the controller, be sure to wipe off the face buttons and under section of the thumbsticks. Once finished, leave the controller to dry naturally. Alcohol evaporates quickly, and you dont want to leave lint on a controller you just cleaned.
Before ditching your cotton swabs, soak a new one in alcohol and use it to clean the micro USB, headphone, and EXT ports on the controller. Youll want to be very gentle here, as pressing down too hard will leave some cotton lodged in the port.
After everything is dry, use dry toothpicks to shallowly dig around the creases of the controller. That includes getting around the touchpad, cleaning between the triggers, and picking around where the controller body meets. You can also pick around the speaker grille on the front, but be careful not to bury any crumbs stuck inside further.

How Do You Remove The Rumble Motors
There are a few ways to remove rumble motors from your vehicle. The most common way is to use a flathead screwdriver. However, if you do not have a flathead screwdriver, you can also use a pair of pliers.
First, locate the two screws that are holding the rumble motor in place. These screws are usually located on the bottom of the motor. Once you have found the screws, use the flathead screwdriver to remove them. If you do not have a flathead screwdriver, you can use a pair of pliers to remove the screws.
Once the screws have been removed, the rumble motor should come right out. If it does not, you may need to use a little force to pull it out.
Now that the rumble motor is out, you can start to remove the wires. There are four wires that need to be removed. The first two are the power wires. These are the thickest wires. The other two wires are the wire that goes to the speaker.
To remove the power wires, locate the two wires that are connected to the positive and negative terminals on the battery. Once you have located these wires, use a pair of pliers to twist them off.
To remove the wires that go to the speaker, locate the two wires that are connected to the two screws on the back of the speaker. Once you have located these wires, use a pair of pliers to twist them off.

How Do You Remove The Usb Port
If you’re asking how to physically remove a USB port from a device, the answer may vary depending on the make and model of the device in question. However, there are some general steps that can be followed to remove a USB port.
First, locate the screws that hold the USB port in place. These screws will usually be located along the edge of the device, near the port. Once the screws are located, use a screwdriver to remove them.
Next, gently pull the USB port away from the device. It may be held in place by a clip or other fastener, so be careful not to force it.
Once the port is free, you can disconnect any cables that are attached to it. Finally, replace the screws that you removed in the first step, and reassemble the device.
