Tame Your New Best Friend
Now that youve got your target on the ground, your next step is to make it friendly to you. Before you get started, though, you should build some defenses around you and your target. Taming takes a while, and the sight of unconscious prey is sure to attract hungry passersby. Spiked walls are a good choice here.
Next, you need to feed your dino some food that will endear them to you, their new best friend. This is done by moving food from your inventory to the creatures. Kibble is a good all-purpose choice, but there are also various kibbles that are specifically made for certain creatures. Feeding a monster kibble of its type will always be more effective, but if you feed it the wrong kind, it will do more damage to the taming process than if you fed it a food it doesnt like. You can also feed raw meat to carnivores and various berries and veggies to herbivores.
Feeding an unconscious creature will automatically start the taming process, which takes varying amounts of time depending on the creatures size, temperament, and level. Its during this time that youll need to keep an eye out for other predators. Once the taming bar fills completely, though, you have a brand new buddy!

You can find Berries by running around the bushes. As for Narcotics, you need to make them by using Pestle and Mortar as well as Engram for Narcotics. As for knocking out the creatures, you can either use your Fists or Slingshot to do that! You can also use Torpid Arrows and Hatchet, but these are for high level enemies. Herbivores: The choice of food for all Herbivores is Berries. In order to increase Taming Process effectiveness, you need to increase their hunger.Carnivores: The choice of food for all Carnivores is Raw Meat. Youll need to open up the console and type in forcetameaoe < radius> . We recommend setting the radius to either 2000 or 4000.
Being able to force tame multiple creatures in such a swift manner is great for many occasions and purposes. Among other things, a command like this is practical for quick breeding, as you can instantly tame multiple creatures and then breed them.

Preparing For The Taming Process
When searching for a Parasaur to tame, keep in mind that the lower its level is, the easier it will be to tame. The taming process in ARK: Survival Evolved can take about 30 minutes, so be prepared to stay in one place for that amount of time.
If youre in a dangerous area, its wise to steer the Parasaur into a safer area. This can be done while attacking the dinosaur with the club as it’ll start to run once youve attacked it. Note that this is one of the more taming as a beginner.

How To Use Ark Cheats
You can access the console in Ark by pressing the Tab keyyou’ll see a narrow box open at the very bottom of your screen. That’s where you’ll be typing in the cheats. To close the console, press Tab again.
In singleplayer mode, just type the cheats to enable them. In multiplayer, if you have the admin password, you’ll need to type ‘EnableCheats < password> ‘ before you can use cheats. Some cheats will require the prefix ‘admincheat’. In singleplayer, you don’t need to worry about a prefix. Just type them and press Enter.

Lure It In And Knock It Out
If you have a base, take the time to lure the dinosaur in near it so you don’t have to travel very far to get anything done. A few dinosaur species will run away when attacked, so plan ahead.
Once it’s in the area you want it, start whittling away at the dinosaur carefully. Any one of the knockout weapons listed above can easily end up killing the dinosaur instead of knocking it out. Make sure you give the Torpor time to bubble up in between hits.

How To Tame A Dinosaur In Ark: Survival Evolved
Dinos aren’t the type of animal to walk up, lick your hand, and wait for you to throw a stick. To tame them, you’ll need to go in prepared by rounding up supplies, namely food. Not just any food will do. Carnivores crave meat, so you’ll want to stock up on raw and cooked varieties of fish and other meats. Jerky and prime meats work well also. On the other hand, herbivores prefer to nosh on advanced crops, berries, and numerous other plants, fruits, and veggies.
Next, you’ll need some weapons. The mightiest dinos to ever walk the earth aren’t going to beg and roll over just because you brought them a snack. You’ll need to bring them to heel by attacking them until they lose consciousness. Stronger weapons will knock them out faster, and you’ll want to knock them out as soon as possible. The last thing you want is an upset dinosaur. Remember, though, that dinosaurs still have life remaining after they pass out. If you keep attacking, you’ll kill it. Try feeding dinosaurs narcotics or narcoberries to keep them passive for longer after knocking them out.
Once you’ve stocked up on the right types of food and a big stick , head out into the wilderness to find your dinosaur. Just as dinosaurs have different food preferences, the creatures hang out at different spots on the island. When the time comes to tame your first dinosaur, don’t be picky. Treat it as a learning experience so you know how to handle yourself when you’re ready to tame bigger prey such as a T-rex.
How To Tame The Parasaur
While the Parasaur may be one of the beginner dinosaurs, it’s still not an easy creature to tame. This is primarily due to its speed and tendency to run away before players get the chance to knock it out. Luckily, there are a few techniques that will allow anyone a better chance to capture and tame the Parasaur.
Firstly, the player can essentially pen the Parasaur into a trapped location. This involves leading it into a corner of rocks or other structures. Once the creature is trapped, the real taming can begin. With the trapped creature susceptible to taming, the player needs to begin to try and knock it out. This can be done with fists, or any other melee weapon but be careful to not do too much damage to it or it will die. It’s best to punch a dinosaur of this level.

After it’s knocked out, stop hitting it and open up its inventory. The player should then be able to feed it certain foods which will increase its tamed level. Once that is filled the player will have a tamed Parasaur. Then simply open up the now more recognizable inventory and place a saddle on its back, then ride off back to base.

How To Force Tame In Ark Survival Evolved
For as long as ARK Survival Evolved has existed, so to has the Taming feature. Essentially Taming allows players to calm the games many creatures until they become easier to control, and eventually subservient to the player. There are many reasons to creatures in ARK, from riding, storage, hunting and defending your property, so theres plenty of upsides to doing it.
Unfortunately, Taming is not easy and can be quite convoluted. In most cases, you need to incapacitate the creature before feeding it the correct food until it becomes completely docile towards you. Of course this isnt the only way, but it is the most common method. Additionally, there are some creatures are so unruly that they simply cannot be tamed. Youll know which creatures are untamable as they wont have the Wild prefix next to their name.
At some point or another, most players will be probably be thinking what is the easiest way to tame in ARK and the answer, is to use the Force Tame command. Which is a bit of a cheat, but regardless, it is the easiest way to tame in ARK Survival Evolved.

Immobilize And Knock Out Your Target
The first step to taming a monster is to incapacitate it. To do this, youre going to need to trap it so that it cant get away from you. Youll need the best traps for the job, though, based on your target. Bolas and small bear traps are good for smaller creatures. There are couple variations of bolas, and each one requires a different method of use. For example, a chain bola needs to be fired from a ballista, while small, standard bolas are simply thrown from the hand.
Bear traps are a good choice too, and come in two sizes: small ones for small creatures and a large one for large creatures. You might also consider Plant Species Y, which is a vine trap that can immobilize small and medium monsters.
Another method for trapping is to build a structure large enough to hold them, with a ramp on the outside. Lure a monster up the ramp and into the structure, make your way out the door, and voila! Youve entrapped a monster.
Next, youll have to knock your target out. To do this, youll need to use a non-lethal weapon to deal torpidity damage. Torpidity in a measure of constitution in ARK, and when you fill a creatures torpidity meter, it will fall unconscious. Here are some good choices for weapons that deal decent torpidity damage, from simplest to craft to most difficult. Choose one of these and go to town on your trapped target.

How To Force Tame Multiple Creatures In Ark At Same Time
If you want to force tame a group of several creatures at once you dont have to force tame them one at a time. Instead, you can use another cheat to allow you to Force Tame all creatures within a set radius from your position.
If you open the command console and use the cheat ForceTameAOE < radius> youll be able to force tame multiple creatures at the same time. Obviously you want to put a number rather than < radius> but if you dont put anything it will default to a radius of 2000.

How To Tame Your First Dinosaur
The first dinosaur I recommend taming in ARK: Survival Evolved is the Parasaur since theyre considered one of the easier dinosaurs to tame. The items youll need to begin taming are a club, and an abundance of Narcoberries and Mejoberries.
The club will allow you to knock the Parasaur unconscious while the Narcoberries will be used to keep the Parasaur unconscious. Mejoberries are the Parasaurs preferred food, although other berries may be used.
50 of each berry should be more than enough to begin the process.
