Each meter completely fills to the end, which is your ideal release point, then empties on the late side ala 2K17-2K20. The new shot meter options were a common ask from the community, so weâre sure everyone will find an option they like and then some.
Youâll also notice a subtle change to how shot feedback works this year. We use shot arcs to help indicate whether youâre early , late , or on time , so by paying attention you can easily tell right away if your release is off. Also, with Shot Feedback enabled, weâre delaying the timing/coverage overlay and green release animations from coming up until the ball hits the basket. Itâs a small change, but it really brings back some of the drama that the green lights sometimes lacked, and also encourages everyone to continue to play through the possession rather than giving up and getting back in transition early.
Myteam: Take Away Contracts
You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who is a fan of the contracts system in MyTeam. Kevmancuz, whose video is featured above, is totally bummed about having to manage this among the plethora of other things to maintain within the huge MyTeam mode.
For those who aren’t aware, contracts in MyTeam are essentially access points to the players and coaches you acquire during your MyTeam journey.
For example: You pull an Amethyst Paul George from a pack or purchase his card from the auction house. He’ll come to your team with a few contracts available to start, but at some point, you’re going to have to apply more to him to continue to have access to him in games and challenges.
Contracts come in almost every pack you open, so it never really feels like much of a challenge to manage them. Getting them is the most boring and uninspiring thing you can acquire during a virtual pack opening.
At this point, contracts are totally unnecessary and more of a nuisance than a benefit to the mode.
