How To Auto Update Games On Ps4
In the previous generation of game consoles, downloading updates could be a tedious process where you would have to manually update each game individually, but that is no longer the case with the PS4. It is possible to set up your console to automatically download games for you, even when it is turned off. There are a number of different settings on the PS4 that will make automatically downloading games a breeze. So lets dig into how to auto update games on PS4.
It should be noted that its not advised to enable automatic downloads if you have a cap on your internet usage. Some updates can be rather large, and you dont want to unknowingly exceed your allowance.
There is also the option to enable automatic downloads while the PS4 is in Rest Mode. Rest Mode is a standby-like mode where the PS4 remains connected to the internet. However, automatic downloads in Rest Mode is a feature only available to PlayStation Plus members. To take advantage of this, go to Settings > Power Save Settings > Set Features Available in Rest Mode and turn on the option Stay Connected to the Internet. If this option is active along with the options from the Automatic Downloads menu, your PS4 will automatically download game updates while the system is on standby.

Option : Insert A Ps4 Disc For A Cross
If you own a game like for PS4, you can insert the disc into your PS5 and claim the next-gen upgrade. Then, when you go to the game hub for the game in question on the PS4’s home screen, you’ll see an upgrade offer option.
Simply choose this upgrade offer and agree to it, and the upgraded PS5 variation of your PS4 game will start downloading to the system. While the PS5 upgrade is technically a digital download, you will need the PS4 disc inside your system if you want to play the game.
Free Up Storage Space
If PS4 storage is full or there is not sufficient storage space on the machine, of course, you canât download any game or update successfully. To resolve these 2 issues, you need to free up storage space first. Here, I provided the 3 most pragmatic ways to deal with it.
Method 1. Delete apps and games you wonât play
What do we need PS4 for? Of course, for playing games. As a game fan, thereâre supposed to be many games along with some related apps installed on the console. In this way, there could be only a little space left which makes it even impossible to download any other game or update. So, itâs time to delete some unused apps and games you will never play again.
1. Start your machine and navigate to âSettingsâ.
2. Open âSystem Storage Managementâ.
3. Head to âApplicationsâ.
4. Hit the controllerâs option button and select âDeleteâ.
5. Tick the games and apps you donât need any more and select âDeleteâ to remove them from your computer for good.
Method 2. Delete game saves
Things are not finished after deleting the game you donât play in Method 1 because after the deletion, the game saves are still there unless you delete it on your own. Some games have bad optimization and can generate big files that can excessively eat up storage space. So, deleting the saves of the game you donât play again can free up enough space for the PS4.
Method 3. Delete screenshots and video clips you no longer need
5. Tick the items you want to delete.

How Do I Increase My Chances Of Getting A Ps5
Major retailers like Walmart, GameStop, Amazon, Target and Best Buy don’t usually give much notice ahead of a restock. Sometimes they’ll have a restock in the morning, other times in the afternoon and, in some cases, even in the middle of the night. Here are some tips to help you get the jump on the competition.
First tip: Don’t wait until you see an alert for a PS5 inventory drop. Check the links at major retailers for stock updates daily or even multiple times a day. If you do happen upon some PS5 availability, go all-in with as many browsers and devices as possible. On a desktop, for example, open the retailer’s page in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Then do the same on your phone and tablet. The more devices and browsers, the better. It’s like with lottery tickets: The more you have, the better your chances of winning.
Second tip: Create accounts at the different retailers and make sure you’re already logged in if you’re going to try to get a PS5. Make sure all your shipping, bill and payment info is updated on whatever device you can buy from, whether it’s a laptop, desktop or phone. This makes checking out a lot faster, which is crucial as retailers’ sites get quickly bogged down, leading to people losing their chance of securing a PS5.

Internet Connection Is Slow Or Intermittent
In order to have uninterrupted downloads of games and updates, your PS4 needs a decent internet speed. Make sure that you have at least 3Mbps speed on your console. To see how fast the internet speed on your PS4 is, you can perform a network speed test.
If you use wifi at home, make sure that the signal is not constantly disconnecting as this might interrupt the updates. If necessary, consider connecting the console to the router with a network cable.

Fix System Bugs Or Errors
Sometimes, PS4 canât download games and updates because there are bugs or errors that prevent the system from functioning normally. Here, I listed 2 methods to fix the PS4 system problems.
Method 1. Check for system software update
1. Connect your PS4 to the internet.
2. On the home screen, navigate to âSettingsâ.
3. Select âSystem Software Updateâ and click the X button.
4. You will be prompted with a message that lets you know whether or not the latest version of the system software has already been installed or one suggesting that you should Upgrade Now.
5. Hit âUpgrade Nowâ to install the latest update for your PS4 if it hasnât been installed.
Method 2. Clear PS4 cache
Thereâs also possibility that too much cache affects the normal performance of your PS4 which causes the error mentioned above. To clear the PS4 cache, just follow the steps below.
1. Completely turn off the machine and you canât leave it in rest mode.
2. While the machine is shutting down, the indicator light will blink. You must wait until it stops and thatâs when the PS4 is off.
3. Disconnect the PS4âs power cord from the back of the console. Donât just unplug it from the wall because it must be disconnected from the machine itself to clear the cache.
4. Wait at least 30s, then plug the cord back into the machine.
Now, your PS4âs cache files should be cleared and you can check whether the game download and update is normal again.
Ps4 Wont Install Updates In Rest Mode
Before diving into any troubleshooting steps, make sure that your console is set as your primary console. Go to Settings > PSN > Set as Primary PS4.
Also, make sure to start the update download process before putting your console in Rest Mode.
Third, keep in mind that your PS4 console only checks for updates once every 24h. So, if no updates have been downloaded, maybe your console has yet to check for updates.
Four, it is worth mentioning that the PS4 checks for game updates only for the games that you recently played. It doesnt usually check for updates for the titles sitting at the end of your dashboard.

Close All Games And Applications
When downloading an update of any kind, the more items that are open, the download speed will almost certainly slow down.
Some of the apps that are open may well be a higher priority than the update itself, further slowing it down.
Make sure all unnecessary apps and programs are closed down on the PC or console to download it as fast as possible.

New Ps4 Update Live With Big New Features
A new PS4 system software update is live with a couple of big new features. The new PS4 update — update 9.00 — went live this morning alongside official patch notes that reveal and detail every change, improvement, and fix Sony has made to its last-gen PlayStation machine. The update isn’t as notable as today’s new PS5 update, but it does make some noteworthy tweaks to Trophies, Remote Play, and Parental Controls.
As for the update itself, it’s already live and only requires a 490 MB download. You don’t need to download the update to use the PS4, but you will need to download it before accessing certain functionality. For example, you won’t be able to play online games without downloading the update, which will then restart your PS4 upon completion.
Below, you can check out the update’s official patch notes, courtesy of the equally official PlayStation website:

Option : Find The Ps5 Game On Playstation Store
This demo showcases the PS5 user interface.
While the PS5 version of the game should automatically install when you choose to download a new game, this is proving to be an issue for some users early in the PS5’s lifespan as the system can default to the PS4 variation instead of the PS5 one. If this is the case for you, find the PS5 upgrade on the PlayStation Store.
For example, simply search “” on the PlayStation Store on your PS5. If you own the game for PS5 in addition to PS4, you should have the option to download the PS5 version. Simply click on the download button on the store page and the installation should begin.
