I need help troubleshooting my DS4 controller. It is only 3 months old and is in mint condition. I purchased it to use with iPad. It worked excellent until recently. I charge it using a powerA docking station that used the microUSB port. It puts out DC 5V at 800 mAmps. Everything worked perfect until I noticed that the controller would not turn off at the end of my gaming session. It had a green or orange light that was slowly blinking and it was unresponsive to any buttons including the PS4 button which I held down for more than 30 seconds with no response. After trying different cables and chargers with no response I decided to use the reset button on the back of the controller. I put a paperclip in the hole and held for 10 seconds. The light went out and refused to turn back on.
When I plug the controller into the PC it gives a slow green blinking light as though it is charging. It will stay that way for hours, but the moment I pull it off of the cable there is no response from any of the buttons and all the LEDs remain off. Normally I would just send it into SONY as its covered under warranty, but since COVID-19 is out there I hoped there was something else I could try. Does this sound like a battery issue?
