Since PS5 pre-orders went live in September last year, gamers have been grappling to get their hands on the Sony console. Both the Disc and Digital Editions of the PS5 console have been plagued with stock issues. Well over half a year later, the console is sold out across UK retailers.

These new PS5 faceplates will cost $54.99 each, for both the disc-based and digital PS5. As we’ve said, you can’t buy a PS5 with these new covers already attached , but nothing stops you from experimenting with different PS5 faceplate colors on each side.
The three new DualSense wireless controllers will cost $74.99, which is in line with the Cosmic Red controller, but slightly more expensive than the Midnight Black and original white controllers .

The PS5 event on Thursday, 11th June revealed more confirmed PS5 games coming to the console.

As for whether you will be able to update games for the PS4 to the new console that is the case- for certain games at least. The recently revealed box art for Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly Gods and Monsters, shows it will be indeed be something you can do- which should be reassuring to those worried they may have to fork out for the same game twice when they invest in the PS5.
Playstation 5 Consoles Aren’t Available For Back
Another factor that Sony might be trying to mitigate comes down to bot buying. According to CBS, release day for the PS5 console saw numbers of purchases made by bot accounts that were then put up on sites like Ebay at a massively inflated price. By putting the back-orders up for those waiting to buy, retailers could become overwhelmed with back-order purchases made by bots and scalpers meant to drain out consoles as they are released so they can then be resold at a much higher price. This would create a large number of overly-priced third-party console sales, taking advantage of those who genuinely want to buy the console to use in their home and not to make a profit.
PS5 orders could also become confusing if players were to apply to multiple wait lists at once. Since no one is entirely sure when or where the PlayStation 5 will go on sale next, many players have email alerts set up to notify them about sales at various online storefronts. If people could go ahead and pay for their PS5 console, it’s likely that some would try to do this at multiple retailers as well – and then, once their first console arrived, they could cancel the rest of their orders. This would cause confusion with both the distributors and the storefronts, and would likely only lead to more PS5 ordering problems than already exist.

Playstation 5 Price Vs Xbox Series X Price
So, how does the PS5 compare to the Xbox Series X on price? Better than many expected, as it happens.
The Xbox Series X and the full-fat PS5 are identically priced, at £449 .
Both consoles also have a disc drive-less, cheaper sibling: that’s the Xbox Series S and the PS5 Digital Edition. This is where things get really interesting, because the Xbox Series S costs only £250 , whereas the PS5 Digital Edition is £360 .
That’s a big step up, but it’s worth pointing out that the Xbox Series S is less powerful than the Series X but the PS5 Digital Edition is identical to the standard PS5 except for the lack of a disc drive. In other words, the PS5 Digital Edition is more of a proper next-gen games console than the Xbox Series S.

Look: it may be a while before you get your hands on a PS5, but that doesn’t mean you can’t prepare in advance. Release Date And Price
The PS5 disc and digital versions will launch on November 12, 2020, in the U.S., Japan, Mexico, Australia, South Korea, and New Zealand, with the rest of the world getting the system a week later on November 19. Pre-orders went live starting September 16 at select retailers, despite Sony saying the consoles would go on sale the following day. Geoff Keighley originally warned fans that some retailers were making inventory available a day ahead of Sonys planned pre-order date.

Despite concerns over exorbitant production costs, the PS5 matches Xbox Series X in terms of price. The disc-based version is $499, while the all-digital version is $399.
As for games, the console will launch with , Demons Souls, and more. We know certain titles such as Madden NFL 21, Destiny 2, Far Cry 6, , and others will include free upgrades from the PS4 to the PS5 versions. Sonys first-party games range in price, with some releases being as high as $70.
