Pick Up A Ps5 From Walmart Or Playstation Direct
The PlayStation 5 has been an elusive item since its initial release, but you can buy a PS5 right now and not have to pay inflated scalper prices. The Horizon Forbidden West PlayStation 5 bundle is currently back in stock at Walmart or PlayStation Direct. Since you were probably going to want to buy a game anyway, this is a hugely convenient deal, netting you the PS5 and one of the year’s best PlayStation games by way of Horizon Forbidden West.
This bundle was available at the end of August for a surprisingly long time, but went out of stock a few days ago. In other words, there’s no rush but also, there kind-of is a rush? If you’ve been holding $550 + tax in your bank account, I’d act now.
If you try to get this bundle from Walmart, be advised it may take a few tries before you can successfully add it to your cart. Whether it’s anti-scalping measures, or just busy servers, it acts kind of wonky, but don’t give up.

When Will The Shortage End
No one can really say for sure. Although global supply issues are easing, bottlenecks and the lingering effects of the pandemic remain.
However, Sony is managing to make more PS5 consoles. In the second quarter of this year, it sold 2.4 million PlayStation 5 units, up slightly from 2.3 million a year ago.
And the companys chief financial officer, Hiroki Totoki, said recently that it planned to sell 18 million PS5s this year, and that the company was ramping up production to meet the holiday shopping season at the end of the year.
The recent increase in production has comprised mainly of the disc version of the console, bundled with the hit game Horizon: Forbidden West. These are the most recent models to hit our shores.
Theyve appeared for sale for $924 at PB Tech and at Noel Leeming, but are already sold out.
Mighty Ape was also offering its own super bundles, but they came with hundreds of dollars of extras, which the average PS5 consumer might not want to splash out for.
However Mighty Ape is currently taking orders for its latest PS5 offering: a bundle featuring the fantastic game The Last of Us, as well as Horizon: Forbidden West.
This means the basic Horizon: Forbidden West PS5 bundle works out to approx $991.
However, the fact that PS5 consoles are once again making it to Aotearoa has got to be good news, and bodes well for gamers who just want to buy a basic console package.

Each GameStop PS5 restock time is 9am local time on weekends in the US, and my Twitter tracker usually detects a PS5 restock at stores once a month. GameStop store locations can open at late as 11am or 12pm in rare cases. A few stores sell out on day one, but many locations still have a few bundles on day two if you look around.
