Unfortunately, Sony does not seem to play favorites when choosing which of its retailers receive PS5 inventory, nor does it reveal when inventory will be delivered. Thus, Walmart is also sold out of both versions of the PS5 console.

However, according to Walmarts website, Walmart+ paid members will be able to order a PS5 Console or PS5 Digital Edition starting at 4pm on November 22, but emphasizes limited quantities will be available. A paid membership to Walmart+ gives you access to all of Walmarts Black Friday sales four hours before everyone else. The cost of membership is $98 per year or $12.95 per month.

Just as with Best Buy, Walmart currently has a great selection of PS5 games and accessories in stock.
Black Friday Ps5 Restocks
Walmart will have the PS5 in stock starting November 22 of Black Friday week. The console will only be available to purchase online, and supply is unsurprisingly limited. Like other restocks, we’d expect Walmart to sell out quickly, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Walmart release stock in waves throughout the week. GameStop will have the PS5 and PS5 Digital in stock at select stores on Thanksgiving. We’re still waiting on ads from other retailers, but we anticipate that more retailers will have the PS5 and PS5 Digital in stock for Black Friday.
Keep in mind there’s also the chance that PS5 restocks will be limited to paid members at select retailers in the coming weeks.
Best Buy recently launched a $200/year membership called Totaltech, and select restocks have been limited to members. Walmart has done the same for its $98/year membership. Likewise, GameStop has made certain restocks only available to PowerUp Rewards Pro members. And, of course, Amazon could lock PS5s behind its Prime membership. Meanwhile, retailers like Costco and Sam’s Club–which require memberships to shop–have always required memberships for PS5 restocks.
Use Ps5 Activities To Jump Into Specific Game Modes Straight From The Main Menu
Sick and tired of having to boot up GTA 5, to then log into GTA Online, to then join a friend’s lobby, before finally reaching your favourite PvP playlist? Your new PlayStation should offer a way to cut through all of that preamble, via a new UI option called PS5 Activities. This will allow PS5 users to access a specific part of a game straight from the system’s main menu, as Mark Cerny explained last year.
“Multiplayer game servers will provide the console with the set of joinable activities in real time,” says Cerny. “Single-player games will provide information like what missions you could do and what rewards you might receive for completing them and all of those choices will be visible in the UI. As a player you just jump right into whatever you like.”

Latest: PS5 restocks have been very slow this week. According to , we can expect a restock at Game between 14-16th September, and at Argos 14-17th September after 8am. Though as always it is not guaranteed to be this week. This follows availability at AO, ShopTo and Studio in this week. In the US, PS5 digital consoles were briefly in stock at Target. The PS5 is more expensive than the launch price of the PS4 and PS4 Pro, which both came in at $399.99, but they arrived seven and four years ago respectively now, and you’re getting a generational leap in hardware here for $100 more. The PS5 is still expensive, don’t get us wrong, but the jump in price does feel warranted for what youre getting.

John Lewis & Partners last had a PS5 drop at 7am on 3 August. As usual with the retailer, it didnt last very long, but it does always seem to drop at 7am like clockwork.
The retailer only appears to get a couple of thousand consoles or less each time new stock comes in, so were not expecting anything big the next time theres a drop. When it happens, we recommend checking out via the app people have seen more success through this method.
