Our only gripe with Epic Games is that theres currently no application that supports Epic Games thats also compatible with the PS4. It would be less of a hassle trying to link an account if there were an app, but its still possible for players to link their Epic Games account to their PlayStation Network account for the PS4theyll just have to access the Epic Games website on a PC or a laptop. Once they sign in to the Epic Games website using their account, they can check the dropdown menu that appears after hovering their username in the upper right corner. From there, players will be able to find the Account tab which they have to click. Epic GamesFortnite allows you to link your accounts between PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One console, and while this feature is definitely welcome, some of you will no doubt at one point want to unlink your account.
Typically, this is done if you fancy starting Fortnite from scratch or if you have cobbled together a new account for the PS4, Switch, or Xbox One.

Linking To Xbox Playstation And Nintendo Switch
The process for doing this is nearly identical across all three services.
Step 1: Sign in to each respective service using the same username and password you do on each console.
Step 2: Give permission for the services to share your user information with Epic Games.
If youre upgrading to next-gen consoles, theres really not much you need to do as long as your PlayStation Network ID or Xbox account is already linked, you should be able to jump into the battle royale without any extra steps.
If you followed all the steps correctly, you are ready to go. Your accounts are now all connected, and you can continue to play. If you unlock gear, progress, or anything else on one console, youll see it on your other platforms as well. If youre playing with friends, then you can continue playing with them regardless of what platform youre using.
How To Change Your Fortnite Account Email Address
If, after checking which email is linked to your Fortnite account, you decide you want to change it, you can do so. Start by logging in to your Epic account. You should be able to see the General Settings page.
From here, scroll down to where it says Account Info. Here, youll see a blue button labelled Edit next to your current email address. Enter your new email address. This will trigger a security code being sent to the existing email address. Enter this code into the security code window, and click Continue. Finally, your new email address will receive a verification link in an email. Click on this to verify your email, and this will change the address linked to your Fortnite account.
Its important to note that you cannot use an email address thats already linked to another Epic Games account. This will cause an error message to appear.

Why Unlink Your Epic Games Account
Epic Games accounts are used to power Fortnite’s online matches and sync player progress between different video game consoles. While linking an Epic Games account to a PS4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One console or account does provide a lot of benefits, there are some reasons why you may want to unlink it:
- You connected the wrong Epic Games account.
- You want to start Fortnite again from scratch.
- Youve created a new Xbox, PSN, or Nintendo Switch account.
You can have the same Epic Games account simultaneously connected to your Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. You dont need to unlink from one to play on another. If what you’re trying to accomplish is getting rid of multiple Fortnite accounts, consider merging those Fortnite accounts rather than deleting them. This saves your progress and resources.

Due to past limitations caused by Sony, some Fortnite players had to create two different accounts to play the game, resulting in fragmented progression and content. Solution 2 Upgrade To A Full Epic Games Account
When you are informed with your PSN has already been associated with another epic games account, it may also be that your console account is connected to a nameless account. That is to say, when you connect your console account to Epic Games, your console account has no email, password, display username, first and last name.
The situation probably is that when you first use your console to play Epic Games, you select not to register for an Epic Games account. So, Epic automatically creates an account for you using your console login credentials to access the account.
