Like other games of the genre,;The Vanishing of Ethan Carter;is best experienced blind, but well give you a brief primer. Ps Now: After A Recent Price Drop A One
As the streaming wars become more pitched, price remains king to getting people in the door. Initially, PlayStation Now had some very sketchy prices, allowing players to briefly rent games based on how long they wanted to play them, which got into some rather high numbers overall.
These days, the pricing is more simplistic: to gain access to everything, PlayStation Now is $9.99 a month, or $59.99 a year. Xbox Game Pass has a matching price tier, but it doesnt allow access to all of its services or the full library that also includes the monthly Games with Gold entries.

Oddworld Strangers Wrath Hd
At the risk of redundancy, we can only think of one word to fully sum up the Oddworld series: odd. However, this isnt a bad thingwe love how these games make up their own rules at the expense of convention. Strangers Wrath is by far the best of the Oddworld series. Its a first-person shooting game, which is unusual for the series, but it still has that distinctive Oddworld feel.;
Your character is the Stranger, a bounty hunter who brings in outlaws, either dead or alive. The twist is that youre only armed with a crossbow, although you can equip it with all kinds of funny little creatures to serve as live ammunition.
Each animal has its own effect, allowing you to use plenty of different strategies. Youll need to focus on getting through the primary missionlaboring and acquiring money. Even though youre concerned for your health, you know that bounty hunting is the best method to deal with it.;

Super Puzzle Fighter Ii Turbo Hd Remix
The meanest multiplayer game in the world isnt Mortal Kombat, or Among Us, or Counter-Strike. Those titles might be cutthroat, but none hold a candle to a colorful puzzle game populated with chibi, hyper-deformed Street Fighter characters. The goal of Puzzle Fighter is to punish your opponents with huge payloads of impenetrable blocks on their side of the screen, and you do that by Bejewel-ing harder and better than them. In that sense, Puzzle Fighter does a great job of mirroring the one-on-one fighting games its inspired by ;youll know in an instant if the person sitting across from you is a much better player. A stone cold, ragequit-inducing classic; our only complaint is that Capcom hasnt made a true sequel in decades.
Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time
While Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart may be the best game on PS5, its actually not the best game in the series. That honor belongs to Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, the conclusion to the Ratchet & Clank: Future trilogy on PS3. In this ambitious game, Ratchet and Clank attempt to stop recurring baddie Dr. Nefarious from taking over the Great Clock: a galactic apparatus that controls the flow of time. Things quickly spiral out of control, however , and the two heroes wind up on separate paths, with both heroes confronting their complicated backstories. With tight gameplay, hilarious weapons and a heartfelt story, A Crack in Time is as good as this beloved franchise gets.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid 5;was Hideo Kojimas swan song for his time with Konami. Despite the mess that resulted,;The Phantom Pain;is among Kojimas best work. Youre free to approach every mission in any way you see fit. Maybe you attack an inspection point with guns blazing, or sneak in silently and take out enemies one by one. Even more impressive, both are viable options.
The Phantom Pain;takes place 11 years before the original;Metal Gear.;You play as Big Boss, who, after a nine-year coma, adopts the alias Venom Snake. After escaping the Cyrpus-based hospital, its your job to find those responsible for the destruction of the Militaires Sans Frontières, the military base feature in the prequel game Ground Zeroes.
Ps Now: Features Multiple Game Of The Year
Regardless of how people feel about it, PlayStation first-party titles have been of a high pedigree for years now. While Nintendo can often compete thanks to its incredibly polished titles that are admittedly of a wider selection of genres than Sony games, Microsofts first-party is lacking comparatively.
PlayStation first-party games arent constantly coming to the service, but the ability to have a chance to play something like God of War 2018 is difficult to turn down.

This Free Update Is Now Available To All Owners Of Xbox Series X/s
Thanks to Microsoft’s FPS Boost, Dark Souls 3 on Xbox Series X/S will now run at 60 FPS.
Revealed on this free update is now available to all Xbox Series X/S owners. To get the most out of this FPS Boost upgrade, Microsoft recommends rebooting your console after the update is complete.
As noted by Eurogamer, this upgrade brings Dark Souls 3 closer to the performance levels seen on PS5. Via backwards compatibility, Dark Souls 3 locks the game at 1080p/60 FPS on Sony’s latest console. While the Xbox Series X/S version still only supports resolution up to 900p, the 60 FPS jump will provide a much smoother experience than it had before.
This FPS Boost, in combination with the Xbox Series X/S’ SSD hard drives that cut down on load times, makes Dark Souls 3 worth another look for those that may have been holding off due to the disparity in performance on the consoles. It’s also great for those looking to replay all the FromSoftware games before Elden Ring is released in early 2022.

Xbox Game Pass: Has A Very Generous Introductory Offer For First
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $14.99 a month, which can be considered a bit pricey for fans who arent necessarily sold on the service. There are lower tiers of course, but if anyone wants to try the service out, the first month is available for just a single dollar.
Newer users can extend this out to enjoying the first three months for only a dollar as well, which means anyone interested can try the service out for just $3. Comparatively, PlayStation Now is free only for the first seven days if someone wants to try it out.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Similarly to God of War, Playstation Now also hosts the PS3 Uncharted trilogy, which means enterprising gamers can witness Nathan Drakes evolution from a rapscallion neer-do-well to, well, an older rapscallion neer-do-well. Were again recommending the middle chapter here, because Uncharted 2 represents the moment where Naughty Dog transformed into a true super studio. After years of low-stakes Jak & Daxter games, the developer beefed up its fidelity thresholds and storytelling ambition, and started churning out some singular cinematic sequences. There are chapters in Among Thieves that fundamentally changed the publics expectations for big-budget action games the Die Hard effect for consoles. Naughty Dog would double and triple down on those ideas with The Last of Us and the later Uncharted sequels, but Among Thieves remains perhaps their boldest statement as a team.
