• If youve been connecting via WiFi, try connecting each console to the network via a wired connection. Alternatively, consider connecting the consoles directly to one another using an Ethernet cable.
• Turn off your router for 5-10 minutes, then restart it.
• You can retry transferring your data by going to Setting > System > System Software > Data Transfer.

• Sony also recommend that you do not use the Network Test feature while transferring data, or put your PS5 into Rest Mode.

• If the software update doesnt fix things, reboot in Safe Mode and Restore Default Settings on your PS5 .
• Your next option is to return to Safe Mode and select Rebuild Your Database .

Option : Download Ps4 Save Data From Ps Plus Cloud Storage

If youre a PS Plus member, its likely that your PS4 save data will have been automatically uploaded to the cloud. If it hasnt, simply turn on your PS4 and head to Settings > Application Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Upload to Online Storage. Select the save file you want to upload and hit ‘yes’.

To download PS4 save data from the cloud on PS5, head to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings, then select Saved Data > Cloud Storage. Youll then be presented with the option to Download to Console Storage, click through and youll see all your available save files that you can download to the PS5s console storage.

Its good practice to keep some games on an external harddrive anyways to free up space on your console, so theres a decent chance you already have some of your data off the device. If so, you can just directly plug your game into the PS5 and play right off there you dont actually need to download the games onto the new console. Indeed some prefer this method, and is technically the fastest way to start playing. But not everyone has the right external drive for this, the space to transfer games, or the ability to dedicate it solely to their PS5 and will have to look at one of the options anyway. That said, its always good to keep a backup if possible.
