Beeps When Turning On The Ps4
The PS4 three beeps at start-up mean there has been a parity error in base memory. This problem affects the first 64kb block of memory in the PS4 RAM.
Additionally, the three beeps may mean that the motherboard timer is not working properly but they could also mean that theres a problem with the RAM module thats in the lowest slot.
Like all RAM and motherboard problems in PS4, this isnt usually something youll be able to fix yourself or get repaired. You have to consult with an experienced technician.
If the beeps constantly continue and dont stop, it means either the CPU or GPU is damaged. It can mean also the motherboard is miserably malfunctioning and is about to go on the fritz.
Resolving the Issue
The only thing you can do here is to turn off the PS4, switch off the power and unplug the power cable from the power outlet. Wait minimum of 10 seconds then plug the power cable and switch on the power. Now try to turn on the PS4 and check whether the problem is resolved or not.
If not, most likely your PS4 is in dire straits and you have to take it to a well-versed technician.
How Does The Power Button Work
I’ve pulled apart a PS4 to replace the case with a custom one, now I’m wanting to use custom buttons but upon looking at how the PS4 power and eject buttons work it appears that just touching them with a piece of metal works.
I’d like to use a momentary push button to turn it on – how can I do this?
The buttons on these older model PS4’s are touch buttons. The newer model of PS4 1215A has mechanical buttons. You can touch them with metal or your finger or most anything that conducts well.
While theoretically possible it would likely be very difficult to convert this touch sensor over to a mechanical one. There are several common touch sensor circuits that can be used so you would first have to figure out which one is used in the circuit then you would know whether it would even be possible or not. I know that’s not much to go on but hopefully it helps.

Solution : Blowing Air Into The Console
There were also cases seen where there was dust accumulated into the console which caused the fans to get jammed. If the fans are unable to start and function properly, the PS4 refuses to turn on because of the safety protocols in place to prevent it from overheating.
There are two ways through which you can clean your console properly. Either you can take it to a service station and ask the professional to service the console or you can blow/vacuum air into/from the console. This latter is more efficient and may help us quickly diagnose whether is the issue is really of the dust. Be careful that you dont blow too much air as your console can get damaged as well. Also, make sure that you blow air into the two holes in the cable.
Remove And Reinsert The Hard Drive
The hard drive is easy to access on all PS4 models without needing to void the warranty or having to take the system apart. Sometimes, if the HDD connection is loose, you will get the blue light with a single beep. The problem is most often associated with the PSU, but it can also be fixed by simply removing the hard drive and inserting it back in again.
You will not lose any data stored on the drive-by doing this, it is perfectly safe. Just make sure the system is not turned on when you do this.

Give A Slight Tap Near The Power Connection
If your system has been sitting on a counter, untouched, you wouldnt expect this to be a problem but a slight tap can dislodge some dust or any bad connection that could be causing the system to fail to boot properly. Many users have expressed issues with Safe Mode and the controllers. Of course, you need to plug your controller into one of the USB ports on the console after booting in Safe Mode, as stated above. Essentially, this pairing process happens because the USB connection sends information from the controller to the console, telling it to work.
Assuming your controller charges , its likely that the cable youre using is the cause. For example, if you still have the USB cable that came with your console, use that one. But, if youre using a third-party one, try a different one. You may have to try several cables, but you need a data transfer cable and not just a charging cable.
It can be a little challenging to tell which cable is a data transfer cable, but comparing two side-by-side, the sheathing on a transfer cable is generally thicker than that of a standard charging cable.
