Rainbow Six Siege is not crossplay between PS4 and Xbox One until early 2022.

This is the release window provided by Ubisoft, and it suggests the feature will be implemented on consoles during either January, February, or March next year. Just so you know, console players will not be able to compete against PC and vice versa.

Its frustrating that PlayStation and Xbox will not be able to play with friends on computers, but theres at least better news with cross-progression.

Sony recently opened the PlayStation 4 up to cross-platform play “for select third-party content” which is big in particular for players of Fortnite–the first game to officially enable the functionality between Xbox One and PS4 users. This also means that account progress and cosmetic items are now platform agnostic, though these functions are currently in beta form. But there are a few things you’d need to do to activate matchmaking with players of all platforms.

First thing to note is that cross-platform matchmaking is only available to those who are in a party with people through Epic Friends. You’ll need to group up with others via an Epic account this is the ticket to connect with players outside the platform you play on. In order for console users to access that, you’ll have to make sure your Epic account is linked to your console account which can be done on Epic’s official website.

Although this feature is on PC only, for the time being, Ubisoft has released update Y6S2.1 for all platforms. After an excruciatingly long wait, Mojang and Sony have opened their doors and released the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft onto the Playstation 4 platform. This update comes complete with the Better Together update, which turns on full cross-play support across Windows, Xbox, VR, Switch, and mobile platforms. Minecraft: Bedrock Edition also gets faster updates and is pretty much guaranteed to be fully supported for as long as Minecraft is around.

The only thing standing between Minecraft fans on Playstation and the quintessential edition of Minecraft is signing into a Microsoft Account to enable cross-play. Luckily, it’s straight-forward to set it all up.

Mojang has come out on Twitter and claimed that they’ve found a potential fix for the log-in and content issues that players have been reporting. They’re advising players to restart their games fully and attempt the process again. However, we’ve seen many reports that the issues are not resolved yet, so are not updating our Known Issues list at this time. It does seem that the Minecraft Earth issue that we reported earlier is solved.

GTA 5 does not have cross platform or crossplay between Xbox One, PC, and PS4 in 2021.

Although the Online component is the biggest aspect of Grand Theft Auto 5, it is not crossplay in 2021 which is disappointing.

Its disappointing that you can only play with mates on the same platform as yourself, but the Online portion is still excellent.

You get to create your own Los Santos hooligan, and there are multiple daily challenges to participate in and complete.
