OK, so given all about the above, what is the TRUE price of owning a PS5? I just did some quick maths based on all of the points listed above and youre looking at around $1145, although that figure is based on you having to buy a 4K TV as well.
If you dont need to buy a 4K TV, the price comes down to a more palatable but still pretty expensive $746 which, as you can now probably gather, is A LOT more than the advertised price of $399.
So, yeah the PS5 price is NOT $499 not if you want to perform it as it was designed to. But the system itself is very compelling if you can actually find one to buy!

When lead system architect Mark Cerny gave an interview with Wired magazine in April 2019, the world began to discover a little more about the next generation PlayStation that Sony has been working on for four years.
Although tight-lipped about the exact capabilities of the new device at the time, the article made clear that Sony would be delivering a fundamental change in the gaming experience for users a real step up from the PS4 or its Slim and Pro cousins.
Since then the full PS5 specs have been confirmed:
- The console will have an 8-core, 16-thread CPU.
- The graphics will run on a custom AMD GPU.
- The new console will have custom 825GB SSD storage built-in.
- The optical drive will run 4K Blu-ray discs.
- The PS5 is expected to have a revamped user interface

What Is The Ps5 Event Time In India
In India, the PS5 launch event will go Live on Friday i.e. June 12, 2020, at 1:30 AM IST. Anybody can watch the nPS5 Reveal Event as it is going to be streamed live on the Playstation Youtube Channel as well as Twitch. In other countries the event will be Live on 9 PM BST, 1 PM PT, 4 PM ET, and 10 PM CEST respectively .

The PS5 was released on November 12 in the USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea with the rest of the world getting in on the PlayStation action on November 19th. There was no black variant to be seen.
If we had to make a prediction, the earliest Sony could feasibly launch a black PS5 would not be before 2022. The company remains constrained by component shortages and other issues that come from launching a new console amid a global pandemic.

Is The Ps5 Worth It
Whether youre upgrading from a PS4 or just starting with the latest console, buying a PS5 will cost a pretty penny. Consoles generally build value over time as more games are released, so before you spend your hard-earned money you should ask yourself: is the PS5 worth it?
As of 2021, the answer isnt so clear. Right now, there arguably arent enough next-gen titles to justify the purchase, especially if you already have a PS4 or PS4 Pro. What youre getting is improved performance on games that you already have rather than a truly game-changing experience on day one. Better graphics and faster load times are great, but theyre not transformative.

If you dont currently have a console, it might be worth picking up a PS5. However, it faces some stiff competition from the Xbox Series X. Unless youre looking for PlayStation exclusives , Xbox Game Pass provides incredible value with access to tons of first-party games.
One area where the Xbox Series X cant compete is the controller. Sony has knocked it out of the park with the new PlayStation 5 DualSense. Leaks And Rumors Reveal Potential Price Points
We all saw the incredible reveal of the PS5 console and a bunch of games in June 2020, but what about the price? While we dont have a solid answer just yet, multiple sources have suggested what we also believe.
The first is a screenshot making the rounds of an Amazon listing, which suggests the PS5 standard will be 499 euros, and mostly like $499 USD. Take a look:

The screenshot has gone on to be discredited by Amazon, but the true source of the image has yet to be revealed. Even so, this same price point at $499 and $399 for the digital only version is something others are also sharing.

The person who wrote the note intentionally left out numbers because people would probably not read the whole thing. I did, and I found it to be poignant, even if Im part of the problem by taking away that price prediction they added in there.
Its something that both Sony and Microsoft will be watching each other over, to see who decides to announce first. In the meantime, we will continue to speculate until the details arise!
How To Buy A Black Ps5
However, just because Sony has yet to release an official black PS5 doesnt mean that you cant pick one up from a third-party seller.
The company CMP Shells has offered fans the chance to get their hands on a black PS5 through black faceplates. Its limited edition CMP Blackout is no longer available. But there is a range of other faceplates on sale on their website.

K At 120fps Performance
The PS5 is capable of a variable refresh rate, allowing a games refresh rate to climb as high as 120Hz. However, the PS5 isnt capable of pushing the frame rate that high when running AAA games at a 4K resolution, especially when ray tracing is activated. Im hoping this changes with the PS5 Pro, as it would result in smoother motion, which is especially important for multiplayer shooters like Destiny, which Sony recently acquired.

PS5 consoles can store compatible PS4 and PS5 games to USB drives that support SuperSpeed USB*. That means you can save space on the internal Ultra-High Speed SSD, and save time by reinstalling PS5 games from the external USB drive, instead of redownloading them or installing from a disc.When youre ready to play a PS5 game thats on an external USB drive, simply transfer the game back to the internal SSD via the Options Menu within the Library. You can play PS4 games directly from an external USB drive, or from the internal SSD.*Minimum of 250 GB and maximum of 8 TB capacity.

Is A Black Ps5 Available Through Official Channels
In a huge FAQ post about the PS5 released a few days before the consoles launch, Sony confirmed that there wont be additional colors or designs available for either of the PS5 models at launch.
This was an expected confirmation, given there has been no mention of a variation on the PS5s current two-tone design. As a result, many have taken to creating a black PS5 themselves, including one of our friends over at Gfinityesports.com, taking off the PS5 panelling and painting it black.

This may sound like a nifty idea, but it comes with a warning! This will likely render any warranty void, meaning if your PS5 runs into any issues, Sony might not help you.
Of course, the key phrase in the FAQs was at launch. This leaves open the possibility for a black PS5 in the future. But here we are over a year later, and we still know nothing about what this could entail.

What About Ps5 Backward Compatibility
Sony has confirmed that the PS5 will be able to run all PS4 titles, but what about the vast gaming libraries of veteran PlayStation fans? The company has yet to confirm how far back the PS5’s backward compatibility will reach, but Ubisoft might have leaked Sony’s backward compatibility plans on August 31 and gamers were not pleased.
The game publisher posted a brief rundown of how upgrading from a current-gen to next-gen consoles will work. This announcement initially contained a disappointing statement for anyone expecting to be able to play their PS2 games on the PS5:
Backwards compatibility will be available for supported PlayStation 4 titles, but will not be possible for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation games.
The company has since removed this statement but not before fans expecting to be able to play their entire back catalog of PS games were dishearten by the update. So don’t toss your old consoles in preparation for the PS5 launch, you’re still going to need them if you want to play old games you have lying around.

What Games Are Available On The Ps5
The PS5 event on Thursday, 11th June revealed more confirmed PS5 games coming to the console.
Some of the most eagerly anticipated PS5 games revealed include Godfall, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Oddworld: Soulstorm, Resident Evil 8, Demons Souls, Grand Theft Auto V, Hitman 3 and Gran Turismo 7.

As for whether you will be able to update games for the PS4 to the new console that is the case- for certain games at least. The recently revealed box art for Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly Gods and Monsters, shows it will be indeed be something you can do- which should be reassuring to those worried they may have to fork out for the same game twice when they invest in the PS5.
How Can You Preorder The Ps5
The preorder window for the console was supposed to begin on September 17, but reservations actually opened up within a few hours of the September 16 presentation.
, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart are all offering preorders, but as of 4 p.m. on September 17 all of these retailers’ supply has been booked. Gamers’ best bet is to periodically check in on all of these sites to see if they’re restocked.
