Bungie Names And Friend Requests
Every player will be getting a Bungie Name, which is their current display name with 4 numbers attached to the end. The system will filter offensive names, butDestiny 2 players can change their Bungie Name via Bungie’s website. If a player doesn’t know their current Bungie Name, they can find it in the “Director” menu, within the “Roster” tab.
To make things easier, players should synch their account to Bungie.net, using either their email or their platform accounts, such as a Steam account or a PS Plus account. Once everyone knows their individual Bungie Names and synched their accounts to Bungie.net, they can add friends across platforms. There are three different methods.
The first method is to take advantage of Destiny 2‘s cross saves and free-to-play status. Players can just log into their account from whatever platform their friend is on and send the friend request there. The friend status will stay when jumping onto another platform. This method, however, is the most arduous, so Bungie offered a couple of other simpler methods.
Bungie ensured that all the invites go through their internal systems rather than through the individual platform messaging systems, like steam messages, so there’s no need to open another program. There’s now a player search bar in the invite screen, which will show the names of players across all platforms. There’s also a friend finder on Bungie’s website and Destiny 2‘s official companion app, which works similarly.
How To Invite Friends For Crossplay
Once your Bungie Friends list is populated with friends from various platforms, you will need to send some invites in order to begin playing crossplay. To make this a seamless process, Bungie has brought all of the invite infrastructure into Destiny 2. This means you wont need to be diving through Xbox Live, PlayStation, or Steam messages in search of an invite.
As with Destiny 2 previously, invites can be sent by interacting with your friends through the Roster tab in the Director. Simply select the player you want to invite, choose details, and then select the Invite option.

How To Find Friends And Squad Up
In order to start using crossplay after update 6.1 players shouldn’t have to do much of anything, as the feature is enabled by default. Once you get to the lobby screen. Simply select your friends list icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Then, press the designated button to “add friend.”
Type your friend’s Xbox Live gamertag, PlayStation Network username or Origin ID in the dialog box that appears, and press the button to “search.” If your friend is on PC you’ll see a little computer icon next to their name. If they’re on another console, you’ll see a controller icon instead. Once your friend on another platform logs in, a friend request message will appear. Press the designated button to accept the invitation. Now when you go to your friends list, you should see your friend’s name with their platform icon beside it.
To join a game together, select your friend from your list and press the button to “invite.” You’ll see a message that says “invite sent.” Your friend on the other platform will get a Party Invitation message, which they must press the designated button to accept. After that, you’ll be put in the same lobby to play Apex Legends together. Given how complicated crossplay can sometimes be in other games, the system used in Apex Legends couldn’t be any easier.

As part of crossplay, every player will be given a single ‘Bungie Name’ which will be your identity across all platforms. This is based on your display name on the first platform you log into from Season of the Lost, plus a four digit code, and will appear in system menus , like so:
When this Bungie Name is generated, it’ll filter out offensive terms and characters which cannot be entered via a virtual keyboard. If that results in something you don’t like – it’s possible that “if your name ends up empty or includes a moderated term, you will find the quite unremarkable “Guardian” name over your character’s head” – then know that a Bungie Name change feature is being worked on to debut sometime in “winter” 2021.

How To Set Up Call Of Duty Warzone Crossplay
To start setting up Call of Duty Warzone crossplay, you need to enter the Social menu found in the top right corner of the Warzone lobby screen. This should show you any friends who are currently playing on the same platform as you, but if you want to add those using other systems then follow the Add Friends prompt in the top left corner.
This will then give you the option to search for friends using their Activision Account, or a variety of other gaming IDs depending on which platforms you both are playing on. Because there are different friends lists on all platforms, adding your friends to your friends list in Destiny 2 is an important step. To bridge the gap between each platforms friends list, Bungie has created what it calls Bungie Friends. This system lets you add friends from different platforms to one central list in Destiny 2. The best way to add your friends is to open the Roster and select the mail icon. On this screen, use the search bar to enter your friend’s name and the hashtag/pound symbol , followed by the four numbers that follows their screename. Your friend will find the request on the same screen under Bungie Friend Requests.

While crossplay is available for all Fortnite gamers, no matter what platform they are on, generally speaking, mobile players will probably want to stick with forming parties of other Fortnite Mobile friends. The reason has to do with Matchmaking. Fortnite generallymatches players from the same platforms together, so in determining a crossplay match, they will put you in a pool based on hierarchy. The hierarchy starts with PC, then consoles and finally mobile. For mobile players, this can be bad particularly if your squad is made up of mostly PC or console players. Fortnite will put you into the matchmaking pool of your highest member. So if one of your friends is a PC player, thats the pool your party or squad will play in. Fortnite Mobile comes with some limitations namely the controls and so you may find yourself quickly outclassed. While youre still welcome to join a PC Battle Royale pool, just be aware that it coule be an unfair fight.

Similar to the other platforms, the friends list for Anthem is based on your friends in Xbox Live! However, only friends with Anthem will be added to your friends list in game.

Having a steady squad to play with can be a life-saver, especially as you get further into the game. Although it can be achieved with a team of random internet strangers, it is much easier with a crew of regulars. Plus, its way more fun to play with people you already know and like.

Adding Friends On Playstation 4
Anthem will automatically add friends in your PS4 Account with the game to the in-game friends list! Friends who bought the game later than you did will still be added without further input from you.
Step 1: Open Socials Tab
Open the Social Tab from the the main Playstation Menu. You can find it as the squares with smiley faces on them.
Step 2: Search via PSN ID
On the left side of your screen, you can use the search bar to find another player using their PSN ID.
Step 3: Send Invite
You can send an invite right at the Search Results or you can open their profile and send it from there.

Origin Client No Option To Add Xbox Or Psn Friends

I just created a new EA account, downloaded the PC client and I am trying to add XBox & PSN friends.
So, in the menu bar on the client I click Add A Friend and there is no option to sign in to Xbox or PSN ?
Why am I missing this option, I cannot add my friends !
Any update on this please, I contacted support via chat and they said the option is removed and to report it here?
