Youll be taken back to the grid view of the Capture Gallery. You can select which items you want to copy to your USB drive by pressing X. The images and videos you select will be marked with a large check in a tick box above each item. Once youve selected everything you want to transfer, move to the right-side menu and select Copy. Hit OK on the next screen and everything youve selected will be transferred to your external drive.
Once you successfully transfer your videos to the external drive, take the USB drive out of your PS4. You can swap your video recording files to your computer simply by plugging your external drive into the USB port. Youll see a folder named PS4 pop up in your My Computer folder if youre using a Windows device. And if youre using a Mac, youll see it in Finder.
Once youre done with all of these steps, youll have the opportunity to share the recordings with others and edit them if necessary. Because they are in a simple .mp4 file format, you can edit them using standard video editing software.

So every 10 seconds the PS4 is doing that ding sound and an overlay pops up saying “Game recording has been disable”… 10-45 seconds later it pops back up letting you know it’s re-enabled. It happens A LOT.
Maybe I’m being picky. Maybe it’s in my head. But it’s definitely annoying. Not sure if this is an issue on the Xbox One version, but I hope EA patches this… Maybe there’s a setting in the PS4 I’m missing.

PlayStation has responded to privacy concerns that Sony is recording party voice chats following today’s PS4 update. How To Save A Screenshot Or Video
To save a screenshot or video in a game, just press the Share button on the left side of you controller, near the directional pad. The Share menu screen will appear. At any time, you can press the Circle button to leave this screen and go right back to where you were in the game.
In some cases, the Share menu may not work. You arent allowed to capture screenshots or record videos of certain video game cinematics or other applications, depending on how the game developer set things up. However, this will work almost all of the time.
When the share menu appears, you can select Save Screenshot by pressing the Triangle button or Save Video Clip by pressing the Square button. This will save a screenshot or video clip to your PlayStation.
Save a screenshot and your PS4 will capture the current screen. Save a video clip and your PS4 will save the last 15 minutes of your gameplay, which it was recording in the background all the while. Your PS4 saves only the last fifteen minutes of gameplay in a temporary buffer, so theres no getting any footage from more than fifteen minutes ago unless you already saved it to a video clip.

One of the features thats not openly advertised, but happens automatically, is how your PS5 treats the collection of trophies. As per usual, youll get a notification on screen every time you earn any trophy. Thats pretty standard for all PlayStation consoles in the modern age, so no surprises there.
However, whats a little less ideal is the fact that the console is set to automatically record the last 15 seconds of gameplay along with a screenshot every single time. But even if Sony doesnt openly tell you about this before quietly eating up precious space on your NVMe drive, you can turn it off pretty easily.
To find the option, youll want to head to Settings, then Captures and Broadcasts. From there youll have three options: Captures, Broadcasts and Trophies.
Scroll down to Trophies and youll see these three options on the right hand side:
If youre having troubles reading those buttons, just note that a filled in white circle means the buttons enabled. Scroll down to Save Trophy Videos and hit the X button. The circle should then move to the left, and the third option in the menu will disappear entirely.
Plenty of time to catch that perfect moment, but this way youre the one deciding when to eat up that precious hard drive space.

What Playstation’s New Voice Recording Warning Actually Means
In the blog update, Sony explained the PlayStation 5 Party system will allow users to record voice chats for submission to Sony moderation. This allows potential victims of harassment or other violations of the PlayStation Network’s policies to report their interactions with other party members.
