Step-by-step instructions:
Call 800-345-SONY You will be directed to an automatic answering system that will list you five different support lines. DO NOT PRESS ANY NUMBERS Wait for it to automatically put you in queue.
You will be connected usually in 10-30 minutes, ask the representative for their name and if there is any way to reference this call for future use.
Greet them by their name and immediately ask if there is any way to refund a PS Plus subscription back to the Credit/Debit Card.
They should say yes. If not, ask for their manager and repeat process starting from step 2.
Tell them you contacted support previously and someone told you to turn off automatic wallet funding and that it would prevent your account from being charged for another subscription. This is not true
If they comply and say they can do it for you they will ask for your Sign-In ID . Provide that information and wait for a response.
Thank them and wish them a great day/weekend or whatever.

How to cancel and stop auto renew in your subscription
The easiest way to cancel or halt auto renew your subscription is on PlayStation 4. First, head to the PlayStation Plus icon at the left of the upper-most portion of the dashboard.
Next, there is a Manage Membership tab in the upper right. Press the X button once, then select Subscription.
You’ll then be shown various stats about your subscription – including the ability to stop auto-renewing. Turning it off will cancel your membership when it comes to an end, allowing you to then renew via a code without paying the higher price set by Sony.
