Human: Fall Flat is a physics puzzle platformer that gained a lot of popularity through YouTube last year. Its excellently wacky character movement, similar to that of Gang Beasts, can create some hilariously funny moments which make it a brilliantly entertaining experience.

You play as Bob, whos just your average guy: he must solve various puzzles in order to reach the exit and progress to the next level. It starts out simple enough by getting you to press a button to open a door and then move a box onto a switch to open another. Eventually the puzzles become more complex and youll end up operating machinery, wiring up circuits, and stoking a fire with coal for reasons unbeknown to us other than to reach the exit. The large variety in puzzles really keeps the game feeling fresh from start to finish, and although they sound simple enough to solve, its the games control scheme that makes it that bit more interesting.

When youre not solving puzzles there are various obstacles to climb up or gaps to negotiate without falling. If you do happen to fall, however, theres no need to panic as you’ll fall right back into the world in which you fell out in one seamless falling motion. You’ll land almost exactly where you fell off and you’re able to continue almost instantly its pretty nifty.

Human: Fall Flat, one of my couch co-op games of choice, just got a PlayStation 5 version. Current players can simply upgrade their PS4 version for free on the PlayStation Store, and new buyers can get both PS4 and PS5 versions bundled together for $20.

Heres the trailer, though its more of a general montage than anything PS5-specific.

That said, the video does mention haptic feedback , and given how left-and-right-trigger-focused Human: Fall Flat is, I hope its tuned well. Some PS5 games tend to physically wear my fingers down. It takes a while to reach that point, but it has happened looking at you, Mercenaries mode in Resident Evil Village.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I revisited Human: Fall Flat for my regularly scheduled Is there a new level? Oh, there is! check-up. We got into the Forest level, we climbed up a mountain and over a crashed plane that was dangling over a chasm using tricky-to-grab cables, one arm at a time, and we got out. Fun times were had. A few falls, too.

Honestly, the PS4 version ran fine for me on PlayStation 5, but a native PS5 version of this or any game especially a free one isnt something Ill turn down.

Hilarious physics platformer Human: Fall Flat is one of those games that is almost as much fun to watch someone else play as it is to play it yourself. After Human: Fall Flat passed 25 million sales, were not surprised that it has made its way onto PS5. We are, however, pretty thrilled about the idea of this game getting Haptic Feedback. Soon, players will be able to experience the feeling of climbing, swinging, and moving heavy objects in a whole new dimension: touch. The PS5 DualSense controller will register subtle tension in its adaptive triggers as players navigate levels and interact with objects. While its very difficult for trailers to convey a sense of touch, this PS5 trailer does a great job of conveying the joy players will get from playing Human: Fall Flat on PS5.

As of writing, Human: Fall Flat contains 17 levels filled with sprawling, brightly-colored environments and a ton of objects to lift, move, stand on, and use to solve a variety of puzzles. The most recent addition is the Forest Level, but the team has made it clear they intend to add more content to the game in the future. There are multiple routes players can use to make their way through each level, providing a ton of replay value. But lets be honest here, the most fun aspect of Human: Fall Flat is the multiplayer. Theres nothing quite like watching a friend struggle to guide a little blob over treacherous terrain and through mind-bending puzzles.

I thought I straight-up imagined a recent update notification for Human: Fall Flat, but turns out, it was real and the pop-up message wasnt just for a standard patch like I wouldve assumed. Instead, theres a new level to fumble through called Laboratory.

As of today, Human: Fall Flat players can download the Laboratory level for free across the PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game, but the Nintendo Switch update is coming later January 2022, based on the current estimate. Its one of those minor annoyances that Switch players, in general, have come to expect.

The lab has fans, magnets, ball launchers, and other obstacles to mess around with, and its styled like any number of classic we do various experiments here facilities in other puzzle-platformer games. That basic visual theme may be overly familiar, but what really matters is whether or not the physics playground is fun to goof off in. It looks like it!

If you ever wonder why Human: Fall Flat keeps showing up in headlines like this, I get you. Fall Flat Coming To Ps4 And Xbox One In May Gets Manual Samuel Preorder Bonus

Today, publisher Curve Digital and developer No Brakes Games announced that Human: Fall Flat is set to arrive on PS4 on May 9th and on Xbox One on May 12th.

Additionally, Curve Digital revealed that if you preorder the game right now on either PS4 or Xbox One you will receive Perfectly Paranormal developed and Curve Digital published adventure game Manual Samuel which released back in October of last year for free. Additionally, PS4 preorder-ers will receive a dynamic theme as well.
