If your router is blocking this port, you can set up port forwarding and allow access from the internet to your PS5 console or PS4 console. By doing so, you may be able to use Remote Play. Ps4 Randomly Loses Wifi Connection And Disconnects Controller
Hi, as the title says:
PS4 randomly loses Wifi connection and disconnects controller and no way to reconnect them again or having my PS4 controller to detect the console again, UNLESS I do a HARD RESET to the console
Same I read here in this thread, but no solution found.
Some others suggest it is related to the antenna. But my console has never fallen, and if it was the antenna, I guess turn it off several wireless devices around, and approaching the Wireless controller to the console should allow the controller to detect the console. But it does not.
Other suggest it was a bad Firmware installed . I can’t reverse the last update of the console. I don’t even know if that is possible.
I’m having this annoyance constantly in the middle of an online game, and I need to restart the PS4 mannually every time in order to have WIFI and BT wireless connections restored. THERE IS NO WAY to connect them again, until I do this HARD RESET to the PS4 console.
When turned on, then everything connects again . Then again, at a random time, disconnects from WIFI and Wireless controller . It just keeps doing it.
Any other suggestion will be very appreciated.
Use The Controller In Wired Mode
Before you give up on your PS4 controller, you should try playing with it permanently connected via a USB cable and telling your PS4 not to use the wireless Bluetooth connection. However, keep in mind that this only works for the revised model of the PS4 controller. You’ll know you have this model if the light bar is visible inside the touchpad on the front of your controller. If not, you have an older controller and can’t force wired communication.
To force your PS4 to connect controllers over USB with a compatible DualShock 4, head to Settings > Devices > Controllers > Communication Method and choose Use USB Cable. This will prevent the DualShock 4 from using Bluetooth when it’s connected via a USB cable.
If this works, you should get a long USB cable so you can still enjoy gaming from the couch even when wired in. Ailun’s three-pack of 10-foot micro-USB cables is a good cost-effective option.

Ps5 Remote Play No Sound
If youre experiencing no sound or less sound bug in PS5 remote play, check your default sound device after connecting the controller. Windows and other operating systems will likely switch the sound to the headset jack present on the controller.
If this fix doesnt help with your sound problem, then the issue is in the hardware/software that cant be fixed until Sony releases an update for that.
We can only hope they improve the remote play experience in the upcoming days by lessening the bugs.

Ps5 Remote Play Controller Not Working: How To Fix Dualsense Not Connecting To Remote Play
Try these troubleshooting tips, if your PS5 Remote Play controller is not working.
Is your PS5 remote play controller not working?
If you’ve been finding yourself struggling to connect your DualSense controller to Remote Play, then this is the article for you. If you’ve never experienced Remote Play before, then this is also the article for you.
As a quick reminder, Remote Play is Sony’s way of enabling players to access their PS4 or PS5 games, menus and home screens, on any compatible device. These need to be on the same broadband network as your console.
For example, you can start a game on your PS5, pause it, and resume it on your phone, tablet or PC. But while this sounds great in practice, it isn’t so wonderful if your DualSense controller won’t connect.
If you find yourself in that situation, here’s what you can do about it.

Ensure Youre Not In Peak Network Traffic Time
Its important to make sure you arent trying to remote play at times when network traffic is at its highest.
For example, if you live in an apartment complex with a lot of people working from home during the day, network traffic will be significantly congested because everyone would need to access the internet for work.
Hence, in this situation, network traffic would ideally be lower during the night when people arent working.
Its best to try and use the internet for a few days to a couple of weeks to figure out when you can expect the best connection speeds and plan to stream through Remote Play accordingly.

Check For Signal Interference
Since most people opt to use wireless networks nowadays, its highly probable that the wireless network signal is undergoing a lot of interference.
Brick walls or other structural issues make it difficult for the console to detect and connect to the internet.
Multiple devices streaming at the same time over a connection can also cause connection issues.
Since brick walls can make it difficult for a signal to travel through, move your PS4 closer to the router to reduce the interference between the devices.
You can also consider using 5Ghz connections for faster and more stable speeds. Both PS4 Pro and PS4 slim work with 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Older models of the PS4 only support 2.4Ghz connections and have been known to have issues because of their wireless card.
Ps5 Remote Play Technical Restrictions
Remote Play can be found on the PS5 home screen, and it can be used to play any PS5 or PS4 game you own, providing your net connection is strong enough. From the home screen, you can select which console you want to stream Remote Play games from, be it your PS5 or PS4 just bear in mind the console has to be in at least rest mode.
The default Remote Play screen lets you change the resolution from the PS5 youre streaming from be it 540p, 720p, or 1080p. From our experience, 1080p makes games look surprisingly good streamed on a modern tablet. Why Does My Ps5 Controller Keep Disconnecting From The Pc
Before I answer that, there are two ways to connect your PS5 controller to a PC:
Problems related to wireless connectivity include damaged battery, signal interference, Bluetooth driver issues, Bluetooth settings misconfiguration on PC, etc.
Below I have discussed some step-by-step processes to troubleshoot and fix the wireless connectivity problem.
But, if youve connected your controller in the middle of the game, it might act funny. So its best to exit the game, re-connect the controller and start the game again.

On the other hand,
Wired connection issues arise due to damaged USB cable, damaged USB port, driver issues, etc.
USB cables can be confusing. There are USB cables that transfer only data or power. You have to use a USB cable which transmits both.
Also, check if the USB port youre connecting to is free of dirt and functional. If youre using a USB 2.0 port, try USB 3.0.
Moreover, if you connect the controller to a passthrough USB port, it is widespread to face issues. Hence, use a port from the PC case.
