Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Is One Of Many Star Wars Games Available
The Star Wars series is well-represented in the new PlayStation Plus. Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars: Racer Revenge are just a taste of the classic Star Wars games available. As a bonus, they all have a trophy list!
Although the pre-PS3 Star Wars games lack a Platinum trophy, there’s still fun to be had. The prequel-era Bounty Hunter, in particular, is worth a play for fans of The Mandalorian, Jango Fett, Boba Fett, or any Star Wars bounty hunter. Bounty Hunter’s trophy list consists of story-related trophies, collectibles, and killing 1,500 enemies.
Don’t Want: Time Crisis
We tried to mostly come up with our own list and not let other lists inform our opinion, but we couldn’t help but respond to one particular game that we’ve seen more than one person wish would be included on the PS Classic.
Look, we love Time Crisis. It’s one of the all-time great light gun games and deserves mention among the PS1’s best games period. But it is extremely unlikely that Sony makes a light gun peripheral for the PS Classic, and that means having to play Time Crisis with a d-pad and a targeting reticle. No thanks.

Is The Playstation Classic Any Good
We rather like the PS Classic, but it’s certainly not without its flaws. The design is meticulously detailed and it all runs efficiently, but there are some cases of inferior emulation that could potentially sour the experience. The choice of games is pretty strong, but there are some glaring omissions that perhaps belong on the PlayStation Classic more than some of the included titles. Sony Has Revealed Some Of Ps Pluss New Classic Ps4 And Ps5 Games
Players who have previously purchased the digital version of games from the PSOne and PSP generations will not have to make a separate purchase or sign up to PlayStation Plus to play these titles on PS4 or PS5, Sony said.
Additionally, some remastered classics from previous console generations will be added to the Premium plan, such as Siren and Jak 2.
Syphon Filter, Syphon Filter 2, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter: Loganâs Shadow were recently rated for PS4 and PS5 in Korea, suggesting theyâll all be made available via PlayStation Plus at some point.

Everything Else We Know About The Playstation Classic
- The console comes with two wired controllers, a virtual Memory Card built-in for game saves, and a HDMI cable.
- The PlayStation Classic controller length is unknown right now – the short wire was a problem for many NES Mini owners, so hopefully Sony can avoid this mistake.
- Packaging for the PlayStation Classic is designed to mimic the original console – even down to the instruction manual.
- The controllers don’t have analogue sticks, which might have some games difficult, but in theory everything will be available to play.
- The PlayStation Classic doesn’t come with a USB power adapter – you’ll have to buy one of those separately. The type supported is a 5V, Type A output.
- If you’re hoping for more games post-release, Sony says additional PlayStation Classic games “cannot be added on via download or any other way”.
Don’t Want: Resident Evil
Now before you start typing out your angry reply at our suggesting Resident Evil be left off the PS Classic, hear us out. RE is an undeniable classic and is a big part of many people’s early PS1 memories.
But the GameCube remake basically made the original feel all but obsolete.
Coupled with that version’s recent HD remaster, and the original vanilla RE just feels more unnecessary than ever. Best just leave this one to our rose-colored memories and play one of the newer versions elsewhere when we want to scratch that itchy tasty itch.

/10 Ghost Of Tsushima: Directors Cut
Sucker Punch went to great lengths to bring Tsushima to life, and their efforts created one of the best PlayStation exclusives yet seen. If youre a fan of the Assassins Creed franchise, youll no doubt find a lot to love in the combat and collectibles of Ghost of Tsushima.
For lovers of photo modes in gaming, youll find one of the best ever created. With a beautiful open world that begs to be captured, photo mode beckons you to slow down and appreciate the scenery. For fans who want an experience similar to classic movies, Kurosawa mode allows you to play the entire game with subtitles and a black and white film aesthetic. A slight lack of variety in collectibles and a somewhat predictable main story are the only things keeping this from the number one spot on this list.
The Classic Playstation Games Announced For The New Playstation Plus
There is only one PSP game revealed so far and most of the PS1 games were already leaked prior to the official announcements. The PS2 games on the list are actually titles that were remastered for the PS4, and are thus already available on PS5 through backward compatibility. While there are lots of PS3 games on the list, each of these is a game accessed via cloud streaming, so users should bear in mind that the true playability of such games will largely depend on the Internet speed of each individual subscriber. The list doesn’t have every PlayStation classic title that fans wanted, but Sony appears to be playing the long game and gradually adding games, likely hoping that this drip-feed of release information will entice more players without individual games getting lost in the shuffle. The PlayStation Classic is, in all honesty, a bit of a letdown.
While Sony certainly hoped it would be as phenomenal as Nintendos mini NES and SNES consoles, it leaves a lot to be desired. Sure its beautifully made and incredibly dinky and cool but, short of a couple of choice cuts, it features a lacking games lineup and performance issues.
Thankfully, that doesnt have to be the case anymore. A set of willing tinkerers have blown the PlayStation Classic wide open, revealing a tasty menu to help tweak and boost game settings and unlock support for a plethora of PlayStation games you can add to the device yourself.
Basically, its the same situation as if you hacked your SNES Classic Mini to add more games to it.
Rogue Galaxy Soars Above The Clouds
With how well-received the first two Dark Cloud games were, it’s a shame Level-5 never released a third entry. Or did they? Rogue Galaxy is heavily rumored to have been Dark Cloud 3 during development. Numerous references to Dark Cloud 3 in the Rogue Galaxy’s files point to this being true.

Rogue Galaxy is different from the previous Dark Clouds in that there’s less emphasis on city-building. Its trophy list is lengthy and grind-based. However, none of the trophies are missable, like in Dark Cloud 2, which comes as welcome news for trophy hunters who’d prefer not to follow a guide while they play the story.

/10 Red Dead Redemption 2
Rockstar Games delivered a masterpiece to fans new and old with this prequel to the original Red Dead Redemption. Arthur Morgan is a deep and intriguing protagonist, and the player is given the ability to handle situations how they wish. Red Dead Redemption 2 isnt just the best Western game ever made its perhaps even one of the best Westerns told in any medium.
While the main story will keep you engaged and moving along your journey, fans of big open worlds will find no shortage of things to do. From getting into gunfights, playing cards, hunting wildlife, and fishing all over the map, this game truly brings the old west to life. Hours upon hours of fun and one of the most immersive experiences imaginable make this an easy choice for PlayStation Plus top title.
Playstation Classic Resolution And Outputs
Sony has revealed that the PlayStation Classic will have HDMI Out, for use on modern TV sets, but the resolution the system outputs out will likely be disappointing for modern TV users. The maximum output resolution of the PlayStation Classic is 720p, but also supports 480p (according to a listing on the official PlayStation Japan website.

Playstation Classic Hack: How To Access The Debug Menu
To gain access to the PlayStation Classic debug menu youll need to get your hands on a compatible USB keyboard. Unfortunately, not all keyboards will work and it seems like a trial-and-error approach is the only way to find out. So far, the only confirmed keyboards that work are the Corsair K70 and K95.
However, once you do have a compatible keyboard, tap the ESC key while your PlayStation Classic is loading a game and youll open up a debug menu to tweak all manner of settings.
As you can see from the Retro Gaming Arts YouTube video below, the settings are relatively simple and straightforward. You can emulate CRT scanlines if you want a retro feel to your games, and theres the option to switch the PAL 50Hz games over to 60Hz, which will notably boost the performance of titles like Tekken 3 and Ridge Racer 4.
The Fix: Project Eris
As always, the fix for bad products has come from the hacker community. Hackers cracked the console within a week of the mini consoles release. Project Eris, an all-in-one software solution, created and maintained by the Mod My Classic team, is now considered the best hack and unlocks the true power of the PlayStation Classic.
I followed the steps to install Project Eris on my PlayStation Classic using Mod My Classics instructions here the whole project took an hour, though that might be longer if youre less experienced with tinkering. The project requires two inexpensive components that are easy to find online.
This isnt a tutorial so I wont go over every step, but I do want to share some of my findings. For example, you need a USB to transfer the initial data file, but not all flash drives are equal because some dont have enough power throughput. After scouring Reddit, I found this SanDisk Cruzer Glide 2.0 USB Flash Drive works fine. I also got an OTG cable, which connects to the back of the console. An OTG cable frees up the frontside USB ports and can power a faster flash drive. I stuck with the cheap Cruzer Glide 2.0, which has not given me issues. Though not necessary, I recommend getting 8bitdos PlayStation Classic wireless adapter to connect wireless controllers like the PS4S DualShock 4 gamepad. The adapter pairs almost instantly and adds joystick functionality with no additional setup.

What Games Does It Have
There are twenty games preloaded on the PlayStation Classic, and though some popular titles are listed among the 20 games, to the disappointment of a lot of fans a few notable games like Tomb Raider and Tony Hawk Pro Skater are nowhere to be seen.

A miniaturized version of the original PlayStation, the PlayStation classic take us on a nostalgic ride down memory lane. Complete with twenty PlayStation games and two controllers, the PlayStation Classic makes an excellent addition to the Classic console market.
Is The Playstation Classic The Same As The Original Playstation
Visually, the PlayStation Classic is simply a miniaturised version of the original and is 45% smaller, but that aside, the two are almost identical.
The console comes packaged with two wired controllers much like the original, as well as the classic three buttons on top Power, Open and Reset.
The Power button allows you turn the console on and off, whilst the Open button allows you to switch virtual discs in multi-disc games. Similarly, Reset takes you back to the original game selection menu and creates a resume marker for the next time that you want to go back to a particular game.
The classic start up screen that Im sure you all remember is the same, whilst youll also be greeted with the familiar PlayStation bootup sound.

Need: Legend Of Dragoon
The PS1 definitely became the go-to system for JRPG fans in the late-90s, mostly thanks to great third-party offerings like Final Fantasy VII, Suikoden II, and Star Ocean: The Second Story.
Sony themselves also added a classic to that stellar RPG lineup by way of Legend of Dragoon.
While well-received and a huge seller, Sony never made a sequel to Dragoon for some reasonbut they can at least make things right by giving the original a much-deserved spot on the PS Classic. It would make for a more interesting, PlayStation-specific choice than just throwing another Final Fantasy on there.
