Project Morpheus Brings Vr To Playstation
At GDC 2014, the first inklings of Sonys experimentation with virtual reality would be revealed to the public with the introduction of Project Morpheus, a new hardware platform/peripheral that would be the next innovation from PlayStation, according to Sony Interactive Entertainments Shuhei Yoshida, that would end up shaping the future of not just the system, but for games on a wider level.
As the early prototype for what would become PlayStation VR, Project Morpheus would utilize a VR display headset, a tracking camera, and the PlayStation Move controllers to fully immerse users in virtual reality games and experiences, with GDC attendees getting the chance to try out the hardware first-hand on the show floor.

Even Though The Ps4 Pro Is More Powerful It’s Not Getting Any Exclusive Games This Is A Technical Upgrade
Let’s be totally clear: The PlayStation 4 Pro is intended for people who own 4K televisions . Functionally, it’s identical to the original PlayStation 4 and the newer, slimmer PlayStation 4 .;
Here’s how Sony describes the point of the PS4 Pro’s upped processing power:
“All in all, this increase in processing power enables developers to tap into far more demanding visual features for PS4 Pro owners, including smoother or more stable framerates, support for 4K rendering, advanced graphics features, and more.”

Second Screen And Remote Play
Smartphones and tablets can interact with the PlayStation 4 as second screen devices, and can also wake the console from sleep mode. A Sony Xperia smartphone, tablet or the PlayStation Vita can be used for streaming gameplay from the console to handheld, allowing supported games to be played remotely from around a household or away from home. Sony has ambitions to make all PS4 games playable on PlayStation Vita. Developers can add Vita-specific controls for use via Remote Play. This feature was later expanded to enable PS4 Remote Play functionality on Microsoft Windows PCs and on Apple OS X Macs. The update, released in April 2016, allows for Remote Play functionality on computers running Windows 8.1, Windows 10, OS X Yosemite, and OS X El Capitan. Remote Play supports resolution options of 360p, 540p, and 720p , frame rate options of 30-60 FPS, and the DualShock 4 can be connected via USB.
The PlayStation App allows iOS and Android mobile devices to interact with the PlayStation 4 from their device. The user can use this application to purchase PS4 games from the console and have them remotely downloaded, watch live streams of other gamers, and/or view in-game maps while playing games.
But The Playstation 5 This Is Not
If you already own a PlayStation 4: Relax! You don’t need to run out and buy a PS4 Pro. Again, every game that comes out for the Pro will also work on the regular PS4.
While there may be something called the PlayStation 5 someday, that’s not what this is. This is an upgrade to the current PS4 that will allow developers to do a little more than they could before because technology moves quickly.;

Playstation In 2019 & Beyond
So far heading into 2019, the two major first-party titles that we can expect to see for PS4 are Bend Studios;Days Gone, which is currently scheduled to release in April 2019 following a recent delay, and Media Molecules;Dreams, which is planned to release next year following a beta that is supposed to come in 2018, though no recent news has debuted as to when that will happen just yet. Likewise,;Concrete Genie, a delightful-looking platformer from PixelOpus, is also aiming for a release sometime in spring 2019.
Outside of those few titles, what seems to be among the PS4s last remaining exclusives are surely among its biggest titles, but have no confirmed release dates or windows just yet. Naughty Dogs;The Last of Us Part II;has gotten the spotlight several times over the years as the gritty and emotional follow-up to the studios 2013 masterpiece, while;Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions showcased a stunning and striking new direction for the;inFamous studio. Finally,;Death Stranding;will have fans of Hideo Kojima eagerly awaiting its next ominous and ambiguous teaser, though its not clear for how much longer when it comes to its actual release date.
The Ps4 Pro And Ps4 Slim Brings Us To Mid
Following numerous rumors and reports that began cropping up in the earlier parts of the year , Sony had officially confirmed in fall 2016 that it would be debuting two new models of the PS4 nearly three years after the systems release with the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro.
In September 2016, Sony would once again take to New York City to reveal the next iterations of the PS4 hardware at this point in the systems life, with that falls meeting highlighting the numerous technical capabilities of the PS4 Pro.
Like other variants of the PlayStation consoles before it, the PS4 Slim would act as the new baseline PS4 model by bringing a sleeker design to the system, and would replace the original design of the PS4 when it released in September 2016 for $299.
Alongside the PS4 Slim, Sony also introduced the world to the PS4 Pro, which would offer a higher-end, premium version of the console with advanced graphical capabilities. Mainly, the systems key features included the ability to render and play games in 4K and utilize HDR-compliant displays, thanks to its enhanced hardware capabilities and features over the original PS4 models. The PS4 Pro would debut in November 2016;at $399.

Formation Of Sony Computer Entertainment
At Sony Music Entertainment, Kutaragi worked closely with Shigeo Maruyama, the CEO of Sony Music, and with Akira Sato to form Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. on November 16, 1993. A building block of SCEI was its initial partnership with Sony Music which helped SCEI attract creative talent to the company as well as assist SCEI in manufacturing, marketing and producing discs, something that Sony Music had been doing with Music Discs. The final two key members of SCEI were Terry Tokunaka, the President of SCEI from Sony’s headquarters, and Olaf Olafsson. Olafsson was CEO and president of New York-based Sony Interactive Entertainment which was the parent company for the 1994-founded Sony Computer Entertainment of America .
The PlayStation project, SCEI’s first official project, was finally given the green light by Sony executives in 1993 after a few years of development. Also in 1993, Phil Harrison, who later became President of SCE Worldwide Studios, was recruited into SCEI to attract developers and publishers to produce games for their new PlayStation platform.

PS5 price points will dictate whether or not people buy Sony’s next-gen offering likely over any other feature of the new console, with fans uneasy following the prices of past generations. However, while it has unveiled a slew of features and new games in its recent press conference, the price of the PS5 remains a mystery.;
When Developers Will Stop Making Content For Last
While its hard to predict an exact number, its going to be at least a few years before PlayStation 4 games phase out completely, and the same likely goes for Xbox One. The production of the PlayStation 3 was only discontinued in 2017, as reported by Digital Spy – four years after;the PlayStation 4 debuted in 2013. Even more telling, the latest game released for PlayStation 3 debuted this year:;Shakedown: Hawaii released;on August 20, 2020, when it also came to the Wii U, though it had debuted a year earlier on several different systems, including PS4, PS Vita, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, and Windows.
If precedence is any indication, then PS4 games could continue to release a similar seven years;after;the launch of PlayStation 5. At the moment, there are already many games announced for a PS4 release as PS5 approaches, some of which may get ported to next-gen if theyre successful. Many games that are still in development for current-generation consoles are simply too far along in production or have too much of a financial commitment to make a next-gen release possible. At the same time, many titles have been confirmed for a cross-gen release, with remastered versions set to release on PlayStation 5;after their initial debut.

In a surprise turn of events, Sony conceded to opening the doors to full crossplay between other consoles and platforms this past September with;Fortnite, and hopefully opening the doors to support for other titles down the line.
Phoenix Point Year One Edition Looks Set For Ps4 Release As Retailer Lists Console Version
Michael Harradence / March 10, 2021
UK retailer ShopTo has posted a listing for Phoenix Point Year One Edition on PS4 and Xbox One, suggesting the game is finally coming to home consoles in the near future.
Originally it was believed that Phoenix Point would be released for PS4 and Xbox One in fall 2020, but that obviously didnt happen. This isnt the first time the game has been rumored for home consoles either; the ESRB rated it for PS4 and Xbox One last month, indicating something is in the pipeline.
Phoenix Point was released for the PC last year, and is seen as a spiritual successor to the much-lauded X-COM franchise, which was create by Snapshot Games Julian Gallop in the 1990s.
The game takes place during the middle of an alien invasion of Earth in 2047, and kicks off at Phoenix Point, a base that players are put in charge of from which to fend off the extraterrestrial threat.
Outside of the aliens, theres also human factions controlled by the AI, who have a hold on most of the resources. Fortunately, you can ally with them , allowing you to access new technology and unlock secrets on how to stop the alien invaders.

How Long Ps4 Games Will Keep Being Made After Playstation 5’s Launch
Sony will continue to support the PlayStation 4 after the PlayStation 5 launches, but it’s unclear how long PS4 games will keep coming out.
Sonys PlayStation 5 and its Digital Edition counterpart will release this coming November, alongside Microsofts Xbox Series X/S. Gamers waited long for the reveal of details concerning the next-gen consoles, and with their prices and release dates officially confirmed, the wait is finally over. But one thing on many minds is what the release of the PlayStation 5;means for the PlayStation 4.
Back in July, Sony confirmed PlayStation 4 support isnt going anywhere, even after the next-gen consoles release. PlayStation 4 is a big part of everything we do and will continue to be a big part of everything we do; theres a lot more to come on PlayStation 4, Eric Lempel, the head of PlayStation global marketing, said during a livestream.;Similarly,;PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan has said Sony will continue to support the PS4 for up to three to four years following the launch of the next-gen consoles.
Playstation Vr And A New Reality
2016 not only saw the introduction of new PlayStation console hardware, but also introduced the PS4 audience to virtual reality in fall 2016 with the release of PlayStation VR.
In just a few years after we were introduced to the platform as Project Morpheus, PlayStation VR was released on October 13th, 2016, and would feature a number of launch titles from the get-go to bring players into virtual reality. Notable titles for the launch included gamers that were developed exclusively with VR in mind such as;Batman: Arkham VR,;Job Simulator, and;RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, while an even greater variety of non-VR exclusive games like;Bound,;Rez Infinite, and;Thumper would give PlayStation VR users an even more immersive experience.

Jurassic World Evolution 2
Release date: November 9, 2021Genre: Theme park simulation;
What is it? Another bite at the life finding a way cherry as we build bigger and better dinosaur parks with even more toothy creatures.;
Why is it so interesting?;The original Jurassic World Evolution was a triumphant theme park sim that constantly kept us on the edge of our seats as we desperately tried to keep our velociraptors happy enough to not turn the visitors into lunch. The second game from Frontier Developments promises a grander full campaign that will leave the original Muertes Archipelago behind in favour of building in a series of fresh environments across the globe. The game is set after the potentially catastrophic events of the last movie and stars Jeff Goldblum as Mr Chaos Theory himself, Dr Ian Malcolm. Oh, and weve got flying dinosaurs this time around. Hes going to love that;;
What Is The Ps5 Dualsense Controller Like
Modern looking, immersion, wireless and no need for a headset those are your top wins of the new DualSense controller.
The new PS5 DualSense controller builds on the merits of the current DualShock controller. The key for Sonys new PlayStation is the idea of a truly immersive gaming experience and, through the new design controller, should provide a much greater feeling of touch. According to Sonys examples, this means youll be able to feel the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud and experience the tension in actions like drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.
The DualShock 4s Share button has been replaced with a Create button-the addition is a way for players to create epic gameplay content to share with the world, or just to enjoy for themselves.
There is also a built-in microphone, which will mean gamers can jump in and out of conversations easily without necessarily needing a headset to do so. It is, of course, wireless too and as for charging it, a one hour charge will give you six hours of gameplay.
A firm based in Argentina called Evzen have also shared some close-up shots of the controller on and it displays not only the printed, iconic, symbols on the buttons, but they are etched in across the whole controller.
There are also rumours that the controller could be designed to recognise you based on how you hold it. We do not expect this to be featured at launch but it will quite the nifty update should it ever come along.
