PlayStation Plus and PS Now will reportedly merge into a combined subscription service during Spring 2022, building a more robust service to combat the ever-growing Xbox Game Pass.

Earlier reports indicated that several tiers are being worked on and that gamers will have the option of keeping their subscription level.

But for those interested in streaming games, PlayStation Now will become part of the plan, making for an enticing new package.

The original report sourced by Bloomberg suggests the PlayStation service has been codenamed Spartacus and will combine PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now services.

The new service would see the end of PlayStation Now and be available across PS4 and PS5 consoles.

This would make sense as there is no reason why both markets couldnt be catered for, much like with Xbox Game Pass.

Second Screen And Remote Play

Smartphones and tablets can interact with the PlayStation 4 as second screen devices, and can also wake the console from sleep mode. A Sony Xperia smartphone, tablet or the PlayStation Vita can be used for streaming gameplay from the console to handheld, allowing supported games to be played remotely from around a household or away from home. Sony has ambitions to make all PS4 games playable on PlayStation Vita. Developers can add Vita-specific controls for use via Remote Play. This feature was later expanded to enable PS4 Remote Play functionality on Microsoft Windows PCs and on Apple OS X Macs. The update, released in April 2016, allows for Remote Play functionality on computers running Windows 8.1, Windows 10, OS X Yosemite, and OS X El Capitan. Remote Play supports resolution options of 360p, 540p, and 720p , frame rate options of 30-60 FPS, and the DualShock 4 can be connected via USB.

The PlayStation App allows iOS and Android mobile devices to interact with the PlayStation 4 from their device. The user can use this application to purchase PS4 games from the console and have them remotely downloaded, watch live streams of other gamers, and/or view in-game maps while playing games.

First of all, you must prepare a USB flash drive thats formatted to FAT32 or exFAT. You can use Windows built-in tools such as Disk Management or Diskpart. But the 2 tools have some limitations when formatting a USB drive. If you have a large USB drive , we recommend you use a professional formatter – MiniTool Partition Wizard.

It is a reliable partition management tool that spares no effort to provide effective solutions on converting FAT to NTFS, rebuilding mbr, migrating OS to HDD/SSD, resize partition, and so on. In addition, it also helps you fix lots of issues related to games such as Minecraft not using GPU, Stardew valley wont launch, and lol RADS error, etc.

Step 1. Connect the USB flash drive to your computer, and then open this software to enter its main interface.

Step 2. Select the USB drive that youre ready to format and click on the Format Partition feature on the left pane.

Step 3. Select the FAT32 or exFAT file system from the drop-down menu and click OK to go on.

Step 4. Click Apply to execute this action.

Now, your USB flash drive should be formatted to FAT32 or exFAT. Then you can follow the steps below to download and install PS4 software update.
