Sony has removed a popular Mario level on copyright claims.
If you’ve logged into the Dreamervse in the PlayStation 4 game Dreams, you’ve undoubtedly come across levels that are made with characters and IP owned by various game companies beyond Sony.
One popular gaming franchise that is getting a lot of attention inside Dreams is Mario, and Nintendo is reportedly not very thrilled with its franchise being used in this manner. Creator Piece of Craft wrote on Twitter that Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe recent contacted them with a message from Nintendo stating its objection to the use of Mario in Dreams.

Media Molecule’s game-making masterpiece has been taking the world by storm recently, with players creating truly astonishing game levels, art, and just about anything you could ever imagine, including designs based around Nintendo’s very own Super Mario.
Dreams fans have been creating Mario levels for ages, but with the game now fully released into the wild, we’re starting to see more and more appear. YouTube user YTSunny has uploaded a video showcasing some of the best levels available, which you can check out above.

Super Mario’ Is Now Available In Playstation 4 Thanks To Hackers
Twice a year, the GeekPwn carnival is an event held around the world. It’s actually a security geek contest intended for smart devices and is often the place for expert hackers to show their expertise in exposing vulnerabilities in devices like mainstream routers, smart cameras, and smart devices. During the latest GeekPwn event, a PlayStation 4 has curiously made an appearance. Another surprising device that was present during the event was a working version of Linux, Super Mario Bros., and more significantly, version 4.01 of the PS4 firmware.
About the leaked demo
A demo of the exploit has been posted on YouTube, and it appears to be relying heavily on the Webkit browser. But what’s perhaps the most important thing about the demo is that it’s supposedly running on version 4.01 of the PS4 firmware. Of course, users will know that a new firmware update – 4.05 – has just been released this week. Given how fast Sony has reacted in the past towards exploits on their PS4, it is very much possible that the latest patch was, in some way, related to the results of the GeekPwn demo.
