I have been playing a log of RDR2 recently. I have bought the PS4 only to play exclusive games. Hence, don’t have a PS Plus subscription.
I want to know how long I played the game. Is there a generic way to do that? I would love to do it for games like RDR2, God Of War, etc.
If not generic, is there a specific way to check for RDR2 only?

No There Is no official way for a user to check their playtime statistics. And as for checking RDR2 playtime exclusively Rockstar didnt include the ability to check it unlike their former games . You can enable an email from playstation that will send you your total playtime for the year but you can’t check this whenever you want.

How To Check Your Playtime Stats On Playstation 5
On your PS5s home screen, select your profile icon at the top-right. You can press Triangle to move the selection to that area of the screen quickly. After you open that menu, choose Profile.
Now, switch over to the Games tab. Here youll see all the games youve played on your PlayStation account. Each one shows the last time you played the game, as well as your total play hours. Its not accurate to the minute, however. Youll see play time rounded to the hour.
Youll also see playtime for your PS4 titles here, even if you havent played them on PS5.
As far as we know, this play time includes all time that the game was runningnot just when you were actively playing. This means that if you left the game on the pause menu while you took a phone call or got something to eat, that time will be included in the total. So it might not be super accurate, but will at least give you an idea of how long youve played each title.
If youre curious, you can also see the playtime stats for your friends. Select the Friends tab from the same screen and pick the friend you want to learn more about. This will show you how long theyve spent in their games in an identical menu.
If you dont want your playtime information to be visible to other players, scroll to the right and choose Privacy Settings. In that menu, under the Your activity section, change the option for Who can see your gaming history.
