According to NowInStocks records, the last time PS Direct restocked the PS5 for the public was on November 22, 2021, around 7:19 PM EST. The latest restock happened on March 24, around 6:10 PM EST. Thats a span of 122 days in between.
If youre looking to buy a PS5 at its retail price without having to pay a premium to the money-hungry scalpers,. Well notify you as soon as the console is back in stock in any of the countrys major retailers. An Amazon drop could be close as well.

Ps5 Restock Confirmed This Week For Playstation Direct
Another major restock of the PlayStation 5 is set to happen this week. Specifically, this latest restock will be held directly by Sony through the company’s PlayStation Direct service. And while purchasing opportunities like this are usually open to the public through an open queue, given Sony’s previous history, it’s hard to tell if this will be happening once again.
Sony began sending out select invitations to potential customers today informing them of this new PS5 sale. The restock through PlayStation Direct is set to take place tomorrow, July 20, and will kick off at 5:00pm EDT/2:00pm PDT. Those who receive one of these invite emails will be able to click a link embedded within the invitation to join a queue to buy the PS5 at this time. As you might expect, both the Standard Edition and Digital Edition of the console will also be available.
PS Direct will have another invite-only PS5 stock tomorrow at 12 PM PT. Last couple times had no public queue but if they ever do one again, it would be in the afternoon around 2 PM PT

It was a big day for PS5 restocks, but where can you get a console next?
Update: Yesterday was a big day if you were after a PS5 restock in the UK as the PlayStation Direct store, Game and Very all had consoles. In some places, these were available for upwards of six or more hours – a rare occurrence when it comes to buying a PS5. Did you register for PS5 restock updates from the PlayStation Direct store? If so, you should check your email this morning as Sony has sent out another round of invites to its next restock event. It takes place from 2pm ET for those in the US. A public sale starts immediately after for anyone without an invite if any stock remains.
The UK PS Direct store held its restock earlier this morning and is now sold out. At the same time, Very and Game had a handful of PS5 bundles in stock, too. These were available for a decent length of time – about 6 hours or so – which is a good sign for any future PS5 restocks in the UK.

There are two versions of the PlayStation 5: one with a disc drive and one without. It’s a strategy could well prove crucial for the next console generation it lets Sony keep at least one model more affordable while still offering a more fully-featured PS5.

If youre looking for a PS5 restock update, today might be your lucky day.
Amazon announced recently that it restocked the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console on Wednesday at 8:00 am PT. For anyone on the East Coast, thats 11:00 am ET.
Theres no indication of exactly how much PS5 inventory Amazon will have on hand. But there are two things that make this update special.
First, Amazon doesnt typically make an announcement like this when there is a PS5 restock update. Instead, the console just appears in stock on Amazons site and then sells out almost immediately. Amazons announcement could indicate that this is a more significant restock with lots of available inventory.

Waiting for the PlayStation 5 queue to open up on Sony’s website may be enticing. Don’t do that. After numerous alterations to the process, waiting directly on the website now seemingly causes Sony to flag you as a bot, barring you from entering the queue. This also means that you shouldn’t use auto-refreshers on PlayStation Direct. Save that tomfoolery for somewhere else.
If you do camp, you’ll have to clear your cookies and cache to get back into the queue. That’s just a massive hassle and will make you lose precious time.

In order to reduce your queue time, be sure not to use any links provided to you by Twitter restock accounts. Instead, head to PlayStations website yourself to make sure youre not entering the site the same way as hundreds of other queue members.
Another method thats working for a lot of consumers is using an incognito browser window when entering the queue. Reports indicate that this should lead to a faster queue experience, but if doing so, make sure youre ready with your account details as youll need to log in once its your turn in the queue.
Being as early as possible is also very important when it comes to getting a lower queue time. But another great method of getting to the front of the queue is to use multiple devices.
