Will The Game Be Exclusive To The Playstation Platform
Just like the first two games in the series, Marvels Spider-Man 2 will be exclusive to the PlayStation platform. But unlike the other two games, which can be played on both PS4 and PS5, Marvels Spider-Man 2 will be exclusive to PS5. As is noted by Schneider in the PlayStation Blog post mentioned above.
The game isnt expected to come out until 2023. Potentially late 2023 at that. So that leaves a lot of time for things to change, and Insomniac to make a decision to bring the game to PS4 and/or PS4 Pro. But based on whats been said, Insomniac for now seems to have decided that this is in development for PS5 only.
What Is Marvels Spider
But that doesnt necessarily mean that both will playable characters. Or that both of them will be present throughout the entirety of the game.
Update: May 5, 2022
A recent post on Reddit suggests that in addition to both Peter and Miles being playable characters, Venom will be a third playable character. Although, both Peter and Miles are said to be available to use in free-roam while Venom will not be.
Keep in mind that this is so far just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed.

When Is Marvels Spider
At the moment there is no confirmed release date set for the game. But there is a tentative release date of sometime in 2023. So were looking at around 2 years at the very least, assuming development goes smoothly and there are no snags that cause the game to be delayed.
Having said that, delays have been very common these past two years. Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed multiple times before its release earlier this year. And most recently, Battlefield 2042 was delayed by a month to November 19. This doesnt mean that there will be any delays of Marvels Spider-Man 2. Especially if Insomniac refrains from mentioning any exact dates. As that would give it plenty of time to make sure everything is in order before committing to a hard timeline.

When Will We Get More Spidey
Since the arrival of the PS5 is fast approaching, chances are anyone hoping Spider-Man 2 will be here in time for a PS4 release will be bitterly disappointed. Even if some titles are released across both consoles during the transition period between the two, rumor has it a Spidey sequel won’t be here until the end of 2021. However, confirmation that the game is happening is expected to be announced this summer. That will certainly drive up sales of the PS5 a few months later if true.

Can You Play As Miles
Since Insomniac released Spider-Man: Miles Morales, its been clear that Miles is a big part of the universe it has created. The trailer features both Spider-Men equally, though we dont know for sure yet which character the player will be controlling. In the first game, players controlled Peter, Mary Jane and Miles, so it wouldnt be a total surprise to have multiple playable characters here. Well update when we hear more.
Do We Know What Platform Marvels Spider
, and fans will not be able to play the superhero game on previous-gen hardware or on any rival platforms at launch.
While the first Spider-Man title launched on PS4 and was then remastered for the PS5, Spider-Man Miles Morales was released across both simultaneously. Moving forward, its evident Insomniac is ready to shift into a new gear focusing solely on Sonys latest hardware.

Is Venom In The Game
One of the coolest reveals from the initial trailer shown for was none other than Venom. He is shown right at the end, popping out from a darkened alleyway to face Miles and Peter. The Spider-Man logo is then shown on a black backdrop, surely a nod to the black symbiote Spider-Man suit from the comics. Its clear that Venom will play a big part here, and its possible that we may see Peter doing battle with the symbiote. Insomniac has drafted in Candyman actor Tony Todd to voice Venom, giving that classic feel that may remind you of Venom from the cartoons.
Something to keep in mind is that when ended, there were post-credits teasers. One saw Harry Osbourne floating in a tank of what looked like black sticky goo. Could Norman Osbourne have created the symbiote to save his son? Is that Harry in there? Time will tell.
With Venom Appearing Is Black Suit Spider
There has been no confirmation that Black Suit Spider-Man is appearing, but with Venom appearing, it is entirely possible. He could even appear before Venom presents himself before the two heroes as Peter Parker gets the alien symbiote first and thus got him that Black Suit. It could also be a different story with a whole new plot, but there is a big chance Black Suit Spider-Man is appearing. If anything, it would appear as a bonus costume for Peter to wear.

Who Are The Main Antagonists
Its unclear who the main antagonists are but the trailer does confirm that there are at least two major villains in the game. Throughout the entire trailer you hear the voice of one of them. While the other shows up briefly at the end. The latter obviously refers to Venom. Which you can see in the main image for this post.
Though, its also unclear how much of a villain role Venom plays in the upcoming game. Hes a potential threat to Peter and Miles. But he could also be more of anti-hero here.
What about the second villain? While the character is never shown or named, the hints make it pretty obvious if you know your Spider-Man lore. The thick Russian accent. The obsession with finding an equal in battle. These are traits of Sergei Kravenoff or better known as Kraven The Hunter. Who seems to be narrating the trailer.
Also worth noting is that with Kraven almost certainly being a villain in this game , theres a chance that villains related to Kraven will show up too. For now, only Kraven and Venom seem to be present. But theres plenty of room for Insomniac to introduce more.

A new set of leaks suggests that Lizard and Mysterio will appear in the game as additional villains.
Spider Man Ps4 Sequel Heroes
In addition to the likes of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, wed expect other Marvel heroes to appear in the sequel too. In fact, wed say that the likes of Gwen Stacy could very well make an appearance, in addition to sometimes friends/foes Silver Sable and Black Cat both of whom appeared extensively in the first game.

Will There Be More Villains And Heroes
Its quite possible. Both previous Spider-Man games have had a sizeable cast of heroes and villains. So theres a good chance that Insomniac isnt deviating from this path. In the beginning of the trailer, you see both Peter and Miles fighting a group of armed enemies.
The footage doesnt make it clear who these enemies are. So they could be related to Kraven or a completely different enemy. As for heroes, there arent any major hints about who else might show up. But players should definitely expect some noteworthy appearances.
In what capacity remains to be seen. Will they be playable? Will they strictly be cameos or part of the plot? Anything is possible at this point.

Who Is The Villain In Marvels Spider
Judging from the voice narrating at the recent reveal trailer, it is possible that the main villain in Marvels Spider-Man 2 is none other than Kraven the Hunter. Kraven has been one of the main villains of Spider-Man throughout different variations of him and in different dimensions as well. He is always portrayed as a renowned big-game hunter that is out to hunt Spider-Man to prove himself as the worlds greatest hunter. He is no ordinary human though as he has some extraordinary skills too that can drive Spider-Man into a corner if he gets careless.
The other possible villain that both Spider-Men will be fighting is a fellow Spider-Man himself, in alien symbiote form: Venom. He has also been one of the biggest villains of the series, but he did become good at some point in the story. He is more of an anti-hero than an evil-turned-good individual. It seems he has a conflict with the two heroes, but there could be a point in this sequels story that he will become a comrade, and probably a hidden playable character. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it could happen.
What Is The Spider
Nothing has been said on this yet but don’t expect too much of a change-up from the last game and the Miles expansion. So we will have our open-world setting back, complete with all the side missions and interesting people to meet and interact with. We’d also expect a wealth of collectables to find as you make your way around.
The last game had enemy hideouts that you could take on and research tasks to complete on the side, and we expect similar things to be in this one too. That being said, we would hope to see some new types of gameplay when the game rolls around in 2023. We look forward to find out what they are.

Who Is Developing Marvel’s Spider
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is being developed by the award-winning team at Insomniac responsible for 2018’s . Bryan Intihar will be returning as creative director and Ryan Smith is back as game director. Spider Man Ps4 Sequel Release
Developed by Insomniac Games for Sony as a PS4 exclusive, the first Spider-Man PS4 title had players swinging around a stunningly realised recreation of New York as they battled all kinds of famous Marvel villains ranging from the likes of The Kingpin to Doc Ock, Tombstone and the Taskmaster .
In addition to being a highly solid, open-world actioner, Spider-Man on PS4 also had a great story too as Spidey had to balance keeping his superhero activities on the down low all the while he interacted with his friends, MJ and his eternally worrysome Aunt May.
STORY SPOILERS FOR MARVELS SPIDER-MAN FOLLOW
The ending for Spider-Man on PS4 also did leave a lot of room for a sequel too, not least with the revelation that Harry Osborn was apparently not on holiday in Europe as Peter was told by his father Norman, but instead being kept barely alive in a secret Oscorp lab somewhere in New York City.
Then theres Miles Morales. After being introduced gradually throughout the story of Marvels Spider-Man before eventually gaining his own Spider powers , we see Peter Parker acting as a sort of mentor to the young Miles Morales, tutoring him on the best way to use his newfound powers all the while still trying to keep a watchful eye on the neighborhood at large.
As to what shape such a sequel could take however, things are a little less clear.

Spider Man Ps4 Sequel Villains
When it comes to the villain side of things, Insomniac will have no shortages of bad dudes to draw on. From the likes of Mysterio , to the likes of Venom, Carnage and most obviously the Green Goblin, the next Spider Man game from Insomniac will certainly have an ample choice of bad guys for Spidey to tangle with.
Who Are The Protagonists Of Marvels Spider
After the introduction of Peter Parker and Mile Morales Spider-Man versions, it was obvious that both will be involved in the sequel Marvels Spider-Man 2. No word yet if it is possible, for the first time of the series, to have co-op mode in the sequel, but if there are two protagonists, it is most likely. It could also be a single-player experience with the ability to exchange characters on the fly in battle or outside of it. It has happened before in other games so it could likely be the case here.

Is There A Release Date For Marvels Spider

Are There Any Marvels Spider

Which Villains Could Feature
So we know that Venom will be in , but who else? For one, Peter Parker could end up being something of an antagonist, if Venom gets his way. Theres also a voice throughout the trailer that sounds an awful lot like Kraven the Hunter. He is an absolute fan favourite character, so were hoping he is indeed a part of the next game. Besides those two we dont have much else to go on. end credits seemed to set up Norman Osbourne as a villain, and there were countless references to villains like Morbius throughout the game too. Then theres Black Cat, who got a fair bit of screen time in the City That Never Sleeps DLC. Could she be making a return? We think its highly likely.
Between A New Game And Spider
It looks like Spider-Man fans are going to have a busy year in 2023, as Insomniac has confirmed Spider-Man 2 will launch on PlayStation 5 next fall.
The studio confirmed as much as part of a PlayStation Blog post highlighting games coming out in 2023, which included a statement from Creative Director Bryan Intihar:
What a year its been for PlayStation Studios here at Insomniac Games weve been in absolute awe of the work of our peers, Intihar says. Congrats to everyone on a successful 2022 and heres to next year being just as exciting as we continue to get Marvels Spider-Man 2 ready for release next fall.
Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to the 2018 open-world game that launched on PS4. Itwas later ported to PS5 as part of a package deal with spin-off sequel Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the latter of which joined its predecessor on PC last month. Both games featured Peter Parker and Miles Morales as their primary playable characters, and the sequel will feature both in starring roles.
Venom will also be making an appearance in the sequel as an antagonist after being teased in both games, but it seems like hell be tied to the character of Harry Osborn, rather than Eddie Brock as seen in most iterations. Harry was portrayed by Scott Porter in the original game, but will be recast in the sequel because of what Porter described as an age difference that was too much to overcome, as Insomniac decided to go photo-real with its characters.
