With its generous free-to-play model, space ninja gameplay, seemingly endless content updates and the stunning use of Unreal Engine 4, Warframe was always destined to be a roaring success.

A roundly entertaining loot shooter in its own right, its also a testament to the long-term support that Digital Extremes has given Warframe that in 2020 it remains one of the most popular games on PlayStation 4 a trend that looks set to continue into the next generation of PlayStation at the end of this year.

Ps5 Vs Ps4 Pro: Should You Upgrade

Playstation 4 Pro: UK price, specs, release date and how to pre

The PS5 is here but is Sony’s new console right for you?

PS5 vs PS4 Pro which one is right for you? If youre buying new, it’s usually sensible to pick the latest release, but what if you already own a PS4 Pro? Are the differences between the two consoles significant enough to justify an upgrade? Theres much to consider, and this guide will help you decide whats best for you.

The PS5 is Sonys newest console, replacing the PS4 Pro as its most powerful gaming system. It boasts a better CPU, GPU, and an internal NVMe SSD, making the PS5 a faster and more capable console. It also comes with Sonys new DualSense controller, including new features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to make you feel immersed in gameplay.

But if you currently have a PS4 Pro, you dont necessarily need to upgrade it at least, not right away. Theres a growing PS5 exclusive library like Returnal, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, and Demons Souls, but youll still find plenty of cross-generation releases to enjoy on your older PS4 Pro, and it already has a huge library of existing games that shouldnt be missed.

It’s worth noting that finding where to buy the PS5 is still tricky. We were hoping stocks would improve across 2022, but most retailers continue to sell out in minutes. For those buying new, though, it’s double trouble as the PS4 Pro has been discontinued, making that tougher to find.

Sony Ps4 Price At Launch

Sony PS4 was priced at 39,999 in India and at $399 dollars in the US. The price of the PS4 console is now 25,000 in India without any games bought with it. The console was also on sale previously but many people considered waiting for PS5 instead. Reportedly, it is said that gamers can play some PS4 games on PS5 as the upcoming console would not be a digital-only machine. However, the upcoming PS5 will be way expensive compared to the last edition.

Ps4 Vs Xbox One: Games

Both the PS4 and Xbox One now have substantial games libraries. The PS4 has just over 2,000, of which over 299 are PS4 exclusives, while the Xbox One has about nearly 2,000 games with less half the number of exclusives the PS4 has.

The Halo and Gears of War series stand above all others on Xbox One if you’re into shooter games, while Cuphead features some fantastic, colorful boss battle action and Sea of Thieves offers a high-seas multiplayer experience like no other. Halo: The Master Chief Collection lets us relive all the old classics, although the experience was somewhat spoiled by a number of technical problems that have never been fully solved.

But, its with its exclusive racing games that the Xbox One really excels, with the Forza Motorsport and Horizon titles being excellent entries in the series.

The Xbox platform also stands apart thanks to Xbox Game Pass. This subscription service gives players access to a rotating list of more than 100 games for a monthly fee and first-party Xbox games come to it on release day. One Xbox One game on the horizon that will arrive on the service is Halo Infinite, which is sure to be one of the best games on the Xbox One.

Microsoft’s number of exclusives pales compared to Sony, though the former is clearly making a concerted effort to amend this with the creation of five new gaming studios and numerous acquisitions, including Bethesda.

Ps4 Pro: Specs Release Date And Price Confirmed

After announcing a new PlayStation console just prior to E3, Sony finally shares new details on its new, more powerful PlayStation 4 Pro.

As expected, Sony today unveiled its new, more powerful PlayStation console, which is called PlayStation 4 Pro. It will launch on November 10, 2016 and cost $399/£349/A$560.

The console will complement the standard PS4 and sit alongside it. The name was picked to show that it is part of the current version of the console, but aimed at the higher-end gamers. It is not an entirely new architecture and thus not a new generation of PlayStation hardware.

During the PlayStation Meeting event, Andrew House, president and group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, discussed Sony’s decision to pursue 4K and HDR, which are two of the major new features the PS4 Pro enables. House described these as “natural” paths of progression for visual fidelity. He went on to introduce lead architect Mark Cerny, who said Sony’s vision is to “take the PS4 experience to extraordinary new levels.”

“Our goal is to deliver high-fidelity graphical experiences,” he added. “We aim to provide developers with tools to further their visions.”

Among the hardware upgrades in the PS4 Pro are a 1TB hard drive, doubled GPU power, and technology adapted from AMD Polaris graphical architecture. These allow the PS4 Pro to reach resolutions “not thought possible on consoles” in 2016. The CPU clockspeed has also been boosted. The Pro will not have a 4K Blu-ray drive.

Lake – Launch Trailer | PS5, PS4

The long-awaited successor to the Game Boy, the Game Boy Color had a short shelf-life compared to its original handheld cousin but was a big hit. Netting over 118 million units sold, through multiple variations of the system the Game Boy Colors biggest successes were continuations of major franchises, such as Tetris DX, Wario Land III, and the juggernaut Pokémon Gold and Silver, which sold 23 million units alone for the console.

Ps4 Slim Release Date Price Specs New Dualshock 4 And Everything We Know

Sony has announced not one, but two revamped PS4 systems due for release this year the PS4 Pro, a more powerful mid-generation upgrade previously codenamed PS4 Neo, and a slimline edition of existing PS4 hardware – or PS4 Slim which simply takes the name of PlayStation 4.

The initial reveal of the slim console came as a bit of a surprise, with it first spotted out in the wild on auction website Gumtree, instead of through the usual set of rumours and leaks that come well ahead of most new hardware reveals. The slim PS4 was subsequently verified by Digital Foundry as being authentic, with the fact it came in final retail packaging suggesting an imminent release – which Sony confirmed at their PlayStation Meeting in September.

PS5 price points will dictate whether or not people buy Sony’s next-gen offering likely over any other feature of the new console, with fans uneasy following the prices of past generations. However, while it has unveiled a slew of features and new games in its recent press conference, the price of the PS5 remains a mystery.

Ps5 Vs Ps4 Pro Verdict

In all honesty, there’s little reason to buy a PS4 Pro right now unless your budget is very strict. Not only is the PS5 the more powerful console, Sony’s efforts to enable backward compatibility means that even if you buy a PS5, but you also won’t miss out on the PS4’s finest experiences. Most run better than ever before, with games like Ghost of Tsushima now running at 60fps on PlayStation 5.

If you’ve been waiting this long to buy your first PS4, youre probably better off going straight to the PS5 for future-proofing purposes.

That said, upgrading from a Pro is another matter and a tougher dilemma. The Pro already supports 4K for many games at decent performance, and you’ll need deep pockets for a 4K TV with HDMI 2.1 support to fully benefit from the PS5’s power and higher frame rates. With that in mind, dont feel like you need to push your PS4 Pro to the side and get a PS5 right now. Theres still a lot your Pro can do for you and while stock for the PS5 is hard to come by, its still a strong console to have.

During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Playstation Meeting 2016 The Company Unveils The Price Point And Release Date For Its Forthcoming Ps4 Slim Console

PS4 Slim Will Release by 15th September for $299

As many expected, Sony used the time during its PlayStation Meeting 2016 to confirm the launch and cost of its 4K-capable version of the PlayStation 4, which has dropped its previous code name under “Neo” to go with the moniker of PS4 Pro. While this is definitely exciting for fans who have been eagerly anticipating a closer look at the enhanced iteration of the console, perhaps equally rousing is Sony’s authentic acknowledgement of the PS4 Slim and the unveiling of its release date of September 15, 2016 for a trim $299.

While the existence of the PS4 Slim has been discussed unofficially for quite a while now, it’s nice to see that Sony has finally addressed the actuality of the more compact version of the PlayStation 4. As it happens, the tech firm even dedicated the beginning portion of today’s event in New York City before moving on to other matters.

Although Sony didn’t offer many details beyond its price and launch day, which is slated for next week, there are plenty of avenues available online for gaming fans to get a better understanding of the PS4 Slim’s intricacies. For starters, there’s footage floating out in the ether of the Internet displays the console booting up, as well as a complete teardown video that shows off the hardware found within its outer casing.

The PS4 Slim is set to release next Thursday on September 15, 2016 for $299.

The attempted rival to the DS, the PlayStation Portable was a moderate success despite facing the juggernaut that was the DS. Ps4 Launch Titles Blacklight Retribution

One of the first free-to-play titles on the PlayStation 4, Blacklight Retribution is a cyberpunk themed online shopoter that allowed players to extensively customize their soldiers appearance and weapons loadout.

Boasting 16 maps and a range of game modes, though not quite a stellar shooter, Blacklight Retribution has maintained something of a enduring presence on PS4, since while the developers ceased PC support back in March 2019, the games online services remain active on Sonys current gen console.

Ps4 Launch Titles Just Dance 2014

Though largely much the same as previous Just Dance titles in the series, Just Dance 2014 nonetheless didnt arrive on PS4 without any extra features.

Boasting a new On Stage modes which allow one player to be the main dancer during a routine while others take the roles of backup performers, Just Dance 2014 on PS4 allowed up to six players to take part in these game types. Hardly revolutionary then, but one could argue that there was nothing else quite like Just Dance 2014 at the launch of Sonys current-generation console.

Price Of The Nintendo Wii

PlayStation 4 Pro Price, Release Date Announced – IGN News

Massively popular, the Nintendo Wii was a game changer thanks to its control scheme and casual accessibility, with over 101 million units sold. Games for the Wii were still being released as late as 2019, with Just Dance 2020 being the last game for the system. Despite tons of shovelware titles that were dumped onto the system, major franchises saw innovations on the Wii, such as The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Super Mario Galaxy, plus new franchises such as Wii Sports and Wii Fit joining the fold.

Ps4 Sales Top One Million On Launch Day

Sony has announced the first-day sales for the PlayStation 4. The next-gen console managed to sell over 1 million units on November 15th, the game’s launch day in the United States and Canada.

Thousands of retailers throughout North America opened at midnight to sell the PS4. Our own Ryan Winslett was one of the gamers lined up to buy it.

“PS4 was designed with an unwavering commitment to gamers, and we are thrilled that consumer reaction has been so phenomenal,” said Andrew House, President and Group CEO at Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. “Sales remain very strong in North America, and we expect continued enthusiasm as we launch the PlayStation 4 in Europe and Latin America on November 29. We are extremely grateful for the passion of PlayStation fans and thank them for their continued support.”

The PS4’s off to a much better start than its predecessor. The PS3 took about two months to ship one million units in North America. At the time, the PS3 was Sony’s fastest-selling new console ever.

TechInsight’s numbers are just an estimate, though. Other reports of the console’s cost have been less optimistic. Sony Japan had told Eurogamer that they were expecting to make a profit on the “average purchase” of a launch buyer. In other words, they would make a profit off someone who bought a game or two with their console but not necessarily someone who just bought the console by itself.

What Is The Power Of Psvr

The PlayStation VR has a display resolution of 1080p, which puts it on par with many new smartphones and tablets. It sports an impressive 120Hz refresh rate that works out to 90 frames per second for each eye rendering images smooth as butter! The OLED panel they put in there also offers a whopping 120 degree field of view, which is on par with the Vive and Rift.

Sony has finally given the PlayStation 4 a date and price. They announced that it will be coming to North America on November 15, 2013 for $400 before adding in Europe six months later with an unspecified release date. This is great news because gamers have been waiting patiently since they first got their hands on the PS4 at this years E3 conference back in June.

Sony confirmed today that its next-generation system would come out 6 months sooner than expected! With only half of 2014 left, there are just over 7 more weeks until we get our hands dirty by playing some new games and enjoying hours upon hours of gameplay online or offlinewhatever way you prefer your gaming experience!

Ps4 Vs Xbox One: Media

In the past with Sonys PS2 and PS3 consoles, they built a huge audience just by virtue of those consoles doubling as DVD and Blu-ray players that were priced competitively with standalone devices at launch.

That’s what makes it so shocking that Microsoft has beaten them to the punch this time around, with the Xbox One S and Xbox One X being the first consoles to feature Ultra-HD Blu-ray compatibility .

Ultra HD Blu-rays are the latest and greatest disc format, and offer the best audio and video quality if you’re looking to watch movies at home. The amount of discs available is slightly thin on the ground as it currently stands, but the situation is sure to improve in the future as the number of 4K releases ramps up.

Of course, streaming is now the dominant way of consuming media at home, and the Xbox One S, the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro are all able to handle 4K streams from the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime. The limitations of streaming mean that the image quality won’t quite be as good as physical media, but it’s a much cheaper way to access 4K content.

We’ll delve into more detail about the availability of apps for each console below.
