Pairing a DualShock controller with a PS5 can be done in a few easy steps. Players need to use the DualShock’s charging cable or locate another microUSB cable . The official PS4 controller the DualShock 4 won’t work with PS5 games, Sony announced with a blog post. The Japanese company however clarified that there are some scenarios in which you can use a DualShock 4 along with a PlayStation 5. The PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games, and if you’re playing one of those, you’ll be able to use a DualShock 4 with it.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, it said: We believe that PS5 games should take advantage of the new capabilities and features we’re bringing to the platform, including the features of DualSense wireless controller. Therefore, the DualShock 4 and other officially licensed third-party PS4 controllers will work on the PS5 with supported PS4 games only, Sony said. No supported games have been listed as yet by Sony.
That’s a starkly different approach from Sony to its next generation video game console, what with Microsoft promising that all official Xbox One controllers including the Xbox Elite range and third-party licensed ones would work on the Xbox Series X. How To Use Ps4 Controller On Ps5
1: Foremost, set your PS4 controller in pairing mode. To do that, press the PS and Share buttons simultaneously until you see white light flashing.
2: Next, head over to the PS5 Settings menu by clicking on the gear icon at the top-right corner.
3: Under the Settings menu, click on the Accessories option.
4: Under the Accessories menu, click on Bluetooth Accessories under the General tab.

1. First, make sure that your controller has some battery life. If you have a DualSense or DualShock, you can tell that there is still some battery life left by pressing the PS button and seeing lights flashing.
2. Use the controller that has already been paired to your PlayStation 5 to turn on the system.
3. Select your user profile to go to the home screen.
4. In the home screen, go to Settings, which you can find on the upper right corner of the screen.
5. In the Settings menu, go to Accessories.
6. In the Accessories menu, select General on the left tab and then Bluetooth Accessories on the right side of the same screen.
7. With the unpaired controller, press and hold both the PS button as well as the Create/Share button at the same time.
