Sharing Videos Via Youtube Or Social Media
Similarly, if you press the Share button on a video, you have the option to upload it to YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter. YouTube is a convenient way to share your videos, as you can tell the PS4 to upload it as an unlisted or private video to prevent everyone from seeing it. Then you can share it with close friends or just archive it for later use.
If youve saved a fifteen-minute chunk but only want to share a small part of it, hover over the video you want to edit, and press the Options button on your controller. Then, select Trim. This takes you to an editor where you can cut the video down to size.
How To Record Ps4 Gameplay More Than 60 Minutes
The built-in capture feature on PS4 is the easiest route to record PS4 gameplay by far. However, it has some limitations that may be prohibitive to some, such as it takes much internal storage on PS4 it records only gameplay clips and cannot capture the things outside the game it put a facecam overlay on the game clip, etc.
So your best bet is to record PS4 gameplay with a PC, because you are allowed to use a feature-rich screen recording software to capture gameplay clips when you steam the PS4 to a PC. For me, VideoProc Converter is a reliable PS4 screen recorder that lets you capture internal game sound, overlay a facecam/webcam, use green-screen effects and many more.

Knowing how to change your PS4’s video recording clip length is key to capturing those sick plays while still making the most of your storage.
If you’ve ever found yourself scrubbing through half an hour of footage just to get that one great clip you recorded, then you may want to cut down the default recording length of the PS4’s share button. Or, if you find your clips cutting off the start of the gameplay you wanted to capture, you can make it longer too! Here’s how to change the length of your PS4 clip recordings.

Save The Last 15 Minutes Of Video
When something great happens in a game and you want to record it, but you didnt previously hit the button to start a video, you arent out of luck. Your PS4 is always recording video — it just doesnt save that video unless you tell it to. The last 15 minutes of your gameplay session is always saved in the PS4s video cache. So if you just got through a tough boss fight or pulled off a sweet headshot, you can still save the video from the cache.
Heres the thing: If you want to save the last 15 minutes of your gameplay, do not double-press the button! Thatll start a new video recording from the moment you push the button onward. Starting a new recording will delete the cached video.
Step 1: To save the last 15 minutes of gameplay footage, simply press the button once to access the Share menu.
Step 2: From there, select Save Video Clip, or hit the Square button. That will save the video to the Capture Gallery, where you can mess with it at your leisure or share it.
Step 3: You can also use the menu to immediately share the video clip on social media, which will also save it to the Capture Gallery, but will take you to the social media interface next.
Record Your Ps4 Gameplay
With the settings sorted out, it’s time to record your PS4 gameplay.
There’s one wrinkle to this. Some games don’t let you record parts or all of it. This is down to the developer. You cannot circumvent the restriction using the PS4’s default recording tools. Instead, you will have to buy dedicated capture equipment. Examples of these games include Yakuza 0, Persona 5, and Tales of Zestiria.
For the instructions below, we’ll be making use of the Capture Gallery. You can find this on the PS4 home screen. If it isn’t there, go to Library > Applications > Capture Gallery > Start.
The Capture Gallery is great for managing videos that you have saved in the past. However, you can also access many of the same settings by using the button while in-game, so feel free to use that if you find it quicker.
Now, let’s begin recording. You can either record a video of something that is about to happen or that has already happened.

How To Record And Edit Video On The Ps4
Bypublished 25 November 13
To record, edit and share video on the PS4, all you need is a game you want to show off and a Facebook account.
The video recording and sharing functionality in Sony’s PlayStation 4 is not quite robust enough to replace traditional video capture hardware. But if you want to share a few minutes of cool footage with your Facebook friends, it’s pretty simple to do so.
To record, edit and share video on the PS4, all you need is a game you want to show off and a Facebook account.
1.Start gaming. To start, just boot up the game you want to capture. Keep in mind that, at present, you cannot share clips of videos or the PS4’s menu interface.
Once the game is loaded, play through it until you encounter something cool. The PS4 will automatically retain footage of the last 15 minutes of play.
2. Use the Share button. Click on the Share button on your controller whenever you’re ready to edit and share your clip. This will automatically bring up the Video Upload or Screenshot Upload options. Click on Video Upload.
You’ll see a selection of recently recorded PS4 clips. Keep in mind that these will not necessarily be 15 minutes long every time you click the Share button, the PS4 stops recording and begins again anew. Choose the video that contains the bit of gameplay you want to share.
When you find your starting point, hit the L2 button to begin your footage there.
Start A New Recording
Step 1: If you want to record a video by basically pressing Record on your PS4 before you start playing, press the button twice, just like youre double-clicking a mouse, to start rolling.
Step 2: The PS4 will record for the length of time youve set starting when you double-press the button, and you can stop the recording at any time by double-pressing the button again.
Step 3: When the recording is complete, your clip will be saved in the Capture Gallery folder on your PlayStation 4s home screen.
Make sure that the game youre recording doesnt automatically disable recording features. Certain titles Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is an infamous example, as well as the Ratchet & Clank reboot will temporarily stop the capture feature from working in order to preserve story spoilers. To get around this, youll have to use a capture card rather than the built-in share features on the console, but very few games make use of it more than a few times.
