How Does The Ps5 Look Like

The Bulk Of The Beast

How to Make Your PS5 Look Like This…..

Not only is the PS5 physically imposing, but its heavy, too. With the display plate attached, the console weighs 10.2 pounds, according to my bathroom scale. The Series X, meanwhile, weighs 9.2 pounds on the same scale, which isnt a huge difference. However, this is where the industrial design of each console really comes into play: The Series X is a solid box, 11.8 inches tall and about 6 inches wide on all sides, and its weight feels evenly distributed within that package. Ive never worried about dropping the Series X while moving it between rooms.

The PS5, on the other hand, is difficult to handle. Its length naturally makes its weight unwieldy, and it feels like a bad idea to grab the console by those white fins, so picking it up always seems like a gamble. Luckily, the PS5 isnt a mobile device. Once you figure out where the console will live in your house, you probably wont have to move it around, making the weight a relative non-issue.

One thing that will definitely be an issue, or at least a consideration, is that display stand. The PS5 comes with a black plastic plate designed to hold the base of the console when its standing upright or to prop it up when its resting horizontally, disc drive down. It essentially makes the PS5 float. Considering the heft of the console, this extra support is welcome, and the display plate definitely makes everything feel more secure.

How Does Ps5 Look Like

With the ninth generation of consoles, Sony has decided to break with the traditional rectangle-based console shapes and presented the world with a very modern, even futuristic look of the PS5. Sony’s upcoming hardware will be vertically-positioned by default, but you can also place it in the traditional horizontal position. What’s more, players will be able to choose between two editions of the console – the optical Blu-ray Ultra HD drive edition and the drive-less edition.

The PS5 console design is dominated by white color which is another novelty, as previous generations of PlayStation consoles usually appeared in black during their release . Of course, the case of new PS5 will have a little black colour, plus a delicate blue LED backlight. Over time, other PS5 releases, or even special collector’s editions with interchangeable side panels, will most likely begin to appear on the market.

Should I Buy Ps4 Or Ps5

The PS5 is leagues ahead of its younger sibling, but that doesnt mean its the right console for everyone. The PS4 Pro can still deliver impressive gaming experiences at a cheaper cost. However, if you want the best of the best and always upgrade at the start of a new console generation, the PS5 is for you.17-Mar-2021

What The Ps5 Looks Laying On Its Side

When the design for the PlayStation 5 was first revealed to the public, most of the photos showed the console standing vertically, leading many to question if and how it could lie flat. Luckily, the console has been designed to give gamers both options they can either have it standing straight or flat on its side, depending on the look they prefer. This option has been available with older generations, too, including the PS4, PS3, and PS2.

In official photos released by Sony earlier this month showing the console on its side, the PS5 appears to be sitting on a circular stand. If this is the case, then it appears impossible to lie the console completely flat on its side, although the stand doesnt appear to add much in terms of height to the PS5. Its unclear whether the stand is simply an aesthetic choice or whether it serves a necessary purpose and if the PS5 can lie down without its help.

What Year Will Ps6 Come Out

This Is What the PS5 Looks Like

With that in mind, the PlayStation 6s release date is likely to be some time around 2026-2027, and since these consoles usually like to take advantage of the Christmas cash boom, were probably looking at November 2027 as a tentative release spot for the PS6. You need to wait , PlayStation 5 is launching this year.

What The Ps5 Looks Like

Like the DualSense controller, the PS5 breaks away from the all-black color scheme that has defined it since the PlayStation 3 in favor of a two-tone, black-and-white design. It is also a notable divergence from the blocky PlayStation 4, with a “wavier” outer shell that initially made fans question whether or not it was possible to position the console horizontally. The good news is yes, the PS5 can be laid flat.

While Sony has not provided official dimensions for the console, fans have taken to social media and other forums like Reddit to mock up their own predictions, comparing images of older consoles side-by-side and using the USB ports and disc drives to estimate measurements.

A Glowing Ethereal Sphere Of Pure Chaos Energy

We’ve been asking PlayStation to “show us the box” for a little over a year now, but what if the PS5 isn’t a box at all? What if Sony have, quite literally, thought outside of the box, and created a smooth, spherical gaming device? I’m sure you have questions with such a concept. How would it stay in place on your TV cabinet? Are circuit boards even capable of being contorted in such a way that wouldn’t compromise the console’s specs? Did you just sketch a circle because you’re terrible at drawing and literally didn’t know where to begin and/or end? The answer to all of these is yes. No further questions at this time, your honour. Ps5 Vs Ps5 Digital Edition: Which Should You Buy

We compare the prices, specs and features of Sony’s PlayStation 5 consoles

You wait ages for a next-generation PlayStation, then two come along at once. The PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition hit stores in November 2020 and have been in high demand ever since. But which of Sony’s console is best for you?

If you’ve already made up your mind, here’s where to where to buy a PS5 and the best PS5 deals. If not, read on and we’ll help you make the right choice…

The decision really comes down to this: do you want to splash out on the full-fat PS5 or the cheaper PS5 Digital Edition? The main difference being that the former has a disc drive, and the latter doesn’t.

The disc-less Digital Edition will only be able to stream games, films, music and TV shows, rather than running them straight off a CD, DVD or Blu-ray. But that’s certainly not the only thing to consider when selecting between Sony’s latest gaming hardware.

Here, we’ll run down all the major factors to take into account to help you decide which PS5 belongs under your TV…

Basically The Playable Avengers Tower

PS5 Teardown: An up-close and personal look at the console hardware

You didn’t know it, but the Avengers Tower has been secretly hiding the PS5 design this entire time. It’s practically built to be transformed into a next-generation console, embracing the uniqueness that Sony is pushing with the DualSense controller design. Just take a look at my highly professional technical drawing. It’s got space for everything you need – fans, a disc drive , nods to PlayStation heritage, a prominent logo position, and enough internal space for all your hardware needs. It’s basically perfect. And heck, I’m all for the next-gen consoles not just being a suped-up DVD player in terms of design. Make me something that will garner some attention rather than blending in. Sam Loveridge

How Do Ps5 Specs Vs Ps4 Specs Compare

One of the most considerable differences between the PS5 specs and the PS4 specs is the internal storage. The PS5 has an 825GB SSD, whereas the PS4 has a 500GB HDD. Aside from the difference in storage space, having a console powered by an SSD instead of an HDD makes it load so much faster.

PlayStations hardware lead, Mark Cerny, explained that it takes the PS4 about 20 seconds to load about 1GB of data. He stated that the goal with the PS5 was to load about 5GB of data in a single second. In practical terms, this means that load times were pretty much non-existent in our testing. There really is no comparison with older consoles here.

Besides upgrading from an HDD to an SSD, the PlayStation 5 also upgrades the CPU, GPU, RAM, I/O throughput, and the optical drive for discs. The PS4 had an eight-core AMD Jaguar CPU with a 1.6GHz, compared to the PS5s eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU an AMD Radeon based GPU with only 1.84 teraflops in the PS4 compared to 10.28 teraflops in the PS5, and 8GB of GDDR5 in the PS4 compared to 16GB to GDDR6 in the PS5.

Overall, everything has received a massive upgrade, and you can expect games to look crisper, sound fuller, and load faster on the new PlayStation console.

Ps5 Vs Ps5 Digital Edition: Games

This is the easy bit. Aside from the fact that one can play games from discs and the other exclusively from the consoleâs internal storage system, the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition play the same PS5 games in exactly the same way.

With identical internal specs, you can enjoy 4K gaming at fast refresh rates on both the PS5 and its digital-only counterpart, so don’t expect any differences in gameplay between the two.

Sonyâs lined up some great exclusive titles to play on both machines. Right now, you can currently play big hits like Horizon: Forbidden West, the Demonâs Souls remake, and Gran Turismo 7. Thatâs before taking into account third-party titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Assassinâs Creed: Valhalla, and Resident Evil 8: Village. On the horizon, there’s also games like God of War: Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 16 coming.

Where things get a little murkier is in the backward compatibility front. Yes, the digital edition of the console will play PS4 titles â but obviously, it canât play your existing, disc-based collection.

Instead, youâll have to purchase them again digitally. Sony is taking the sting out of that fact slightly through its PlayStation Plus Collection perk for PS Plus subscribers, though. This collection allows PS5 owners access to free downloads of 19 top PS4 games, including God of War, Uncharted 4, and Bloodborne. Itâs a nice perk, and an instant PS5 library of games for newcomers to the console family.

Should You Wait For A Ps5 Pro Or Buy A Ps5

While the existence of a PS5 Pro is purely speculative at this juncture, we do know that Sony has big ambitions in the 8K space. Before the PS5 launched, Sony was promoting TVs that apparently support 8K resolution and 120 frames-per-second that are “PS5-ready” on the PlayStation blog . Meanwhile, a massive Q& A explained that “PS5 is compatible with 8K displays at launch, and after a future system software update will be able to output resolutions up to 8K when content is available, with supported software.” If Sony is serious about 8K, VR, and 120fps, then that’s where the PS5 Pro will surely factor in especially as we’re yet to really see games deliver native 4K at 60fps with ray-tracing enabled.

Right now, there are widespread stock shortages of the PS5. It’s proving difficult to get hold of a system, especially with the best PS5 games, and a long list of amazing-looking upcoming PS5 games, vying for our collective attention. But if you can find a PS5 at RRP, if you’ve done your research on the console and the PS5 exclusives, and you’re happy with that decision, then we’d recommend going all-in. 8K graphics and a 120 frames-per-second future seems as speculative as the PS5 Pro right now Hell, we haven’t even seen what PSVR 2 looks like yet, let alone what its games will be like. Don’t put off enjoyment today for an incalculable amount of enjoyment in the future.

What Does The Ps5 Bring

We finally know what the PS5 looks like

PS5 will have an AMD CPU based on the acclaimed AMD Ryzen gen 3. Specifically, its going to have eight cores, and it will be custom made to fit this new console. Supposedly PS5 is going to support 8k resolutions, but that seems like too much right now.

Current consoles offer 30 frames per second in 1080p HD gaming, and a leap to 8k seems somewhat out of reach. Given that the best gaming computers can run 4k resolution 60 fps for the newest game titles, a console that matches that would be great.

Most people still dont have any 8k devices, and consoles, even next-gen, should be affordable to regular users. In other words, they need to be budget-friendly, and the estimated price of the new PS5 is about $500.

Compared to current best performance gaming computers, that price is a bargain. Most people cant afford such a powerful PC, so if Sony pulls such a performance off, everyone is going to buy PS5.

Major 3D audio improvements are on the way too, which sounds great since audio didnt improve all that much, comparing PS4 to PS3. The PS5 is also going to have an SSD, which is a huge plus. That will bring much quicker loading times, game updates, installation, etc.

VR support is also guaranteed. Sony would miss a big opportunity if they didnt hardwire VR technology into their new consoles. DVR is going to be a feature for sure since PS4 has it too. Also, PS4 games will be playable on the PS5, but we dont know about the former console models, though.

The Ps5 Console Includes A White

After a long list of PS5 game announcements, Sony finally revealed what the PlayStation 5 actually looks like. Sony revealed the hardware design of the next-gen gaming console after teasing it for the duration of its Future of Gaming live event that was held on June 11. The new console will be available in a white-and-black design that matches the new controller included in the box.

Here’s What The Inside Of The Ps5 Looks Like

The PlayStation 5 is set to launch on Nov. 12, 2020. In anticipation of the new console’s arrival, Sony has just given fans their first good look at the inside of the system. In a teardown video and accompanying blog post by Sony’s Masayasu Ito, customers finally get to see the hard work that has gone into making the PS5 a reality.

According to Ito’s blog post, the development team first started work on “conceptualizing” the new console way back in 2015. Knowing that information, this teardown video takes on an even more important tone. Ito is showing gamers the culmination of five long years of research and product development.

“Our team values a well thought out, beautifully designed architecture,” wrote Ito. “Inside the console is an internal structure looking neat and tidy, which means that there aren’t any unnecessary components and the design is efficient. As a result, we’re able to achieve our goal of creating a product with a high degree of perfection and quality.” In order to show off this level of quality, Sony has treated fans to a brand new video showcasing the inside of the system.

After removing the casing from the PS5, Ito demonstrated that the console’s Ultra HD Blu-ray drive pops out easily, as well. This allowed him to show viewers an up-close look at the Blu-ray drive. Inside the drive are two layers of insulators that are meant to reduce the amount of vibrational noise that gamers have heard in previous consoles.

Ps5 Vs Ps5 Digital Edition: Verdict

Realistically, we can’t make a call for you on financial matters. But if youâre an avid gamer without the cash to make the big jump to the top-tier PS5, by all means, go for the digital console. New-gen gaming will still be a delight on that entry-level model, too, and it’s great that performance is consistent across both.

But our gut feeling remains that, should you be able to afford it, you should opt for the standard, disc-based PS5 console. This grants access to the joys of 4K Blu-ray viewing , not to mention the potential money saved over the years in trading disc-based games with your friends and at exchange shops.

One last thing to consider, too, is the gray area that is digital ownership â be that of music, films, or indeed games. When it comes to digital media, you donât actually own a title in perpetuity. Should, in the year 2035 or some other distant date, Sony decide to switch off the PS5âs digital storefront distribution⦠where will you re-download your games from? Just remember Sony planned to close the PS3, Vita, and PSP stores last year before reversing this decision.

Yes, the online elements of modern games means that patches come frequently and unfortunately, can sometimes be required before a game will even work. But if Sonyâs servers ever get taken out due to unpredictable circumstances, it’s not quite as reassuring to have a solely digital games collection compared to a physical one.
