The Elder Scrolls V is getting yet another launch but this time the new edition will not be available as part of Xbox Game Pass or other subscription services.
The Skyrim Anniversary Edition release date is locked in and Bethesda has started spilling the beans on what it includes and how much it costs to buy.
The first thing to note is that this is yet another version of The Elder Scroll V and is based in the same world as the version you played on Xbox 360 or PS3.
The big difference here is that Bethesda is bundling a lot of stuff together and adding in a sprinkling of new content for the games ten-year anniversary.
This includes adding official Fishing support to Skyrim as part of the Anniversary Edition and providing all the Creation Club content on top.
The Skyrim Anniversary Edition bundles together Skyrim Special Edition with every piece of Creation Club content released at the time of the Anniversary Editions launch, including additional quests, armour and gameplay modes.
Why Is Any Of This Happening
I supposed because if you plaster the words Skyrim and Edition onto something somebody somewhere will buy it. Its also one way to continue charging a premium for a 10-year old game. I bought Skyrim Special Edition on PSN back in January for $US16 because it was on sale.
Now its back up to A$54.95 and I doubt it will be similarly discounted again anytime soon. For anyone who hasnt already bought the Special Edition, why not just pay the extra $20 for all the extra stuff? Thats one way to deal with the fact that The Elder Scrolls 6 is probably still several years away at best.
And in the eternal words of Pete Hines, If you dont want that, dont buy it.
Skyrim Anniversary Edition’s Launch Trailer Showcases Ten Whole Years Of Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim turns ten years old on the 11th November. And if you haven’t already heard, Bethesda is releasing the game again. Skyrim: Anniversary Edition arrives on PlayStation 5, packaging the massive open world adventure and its expansions alongside a whole load of Creation Club content. New quests, player homes, weapons, armour, items, systems, and more have been added.
If you already own Skyrim: Special Edition on PS4, you can take advantage of a free PS5 upgrade. Owners can also upgrade to the Anniversary Edition for a discounted price.
Anyway, Anniversary Edition’s launch trailer is embedded above, reminding us that Skyrim first released a whole decade ago. And yes, that is a Push Square accolade right at the start of the video although it should be noted that it was just one of our Games of the Decade. Sneaky!
Will you be journeying back to Skyrim? We dare you to finally awake in the comments section below.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date Speculation Trailer Location And More
The Elder Scrolls 6 is in the works, though we’d hardly know that as all we’ve seen so far is but the briefest of trailers from three years ago.
It’s now been ten years since the debut of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is still very playable today. But developer Bethesda has kept very quiet on the state of The Elder Scrolls 6 only hinting that it’s not going to be out anytime soon.
- Everything we know about
- Everything you need to know about Splitgate
Bethesda will focus on releasing Starfield first, due out November 2022, so we won’t expect The Elder Scrolls 6 to arrive until at least late 2023, if not later.
So there’s not a lot of information around what to expect from the game, though we can indulge in some educated speculation. So heres what we know so far about The Elder Scrolls 6.
Where In Tamriel Is Elder Scrolls 6 Set
While we donât know for sure, the current assumption amongst fans is that The Elder Scrolls 6 will take place in Hammerfell. On New Year’s Eve 2020, the official Elder Scrolls account posted a tweet saying, “Transcribe the past and map the future.” With one light on Skyrim, the other two lights in the image seem to be teasing games. Fans think the one not connected to the map could symbolize Starfield, while the last image focuses on Hammerfell.
If this is an Elder Scrolls 6 tease, then we might already know its location.
The Hammerfell discussion got even spicier during E3 2021, when one eagle-eyed fan, u/Huhwtfbleh on Reddit, pointed out a rather curious shot from the latest Starfield teaser. Take a close look at the small etching on the ship’s panel, and you might see an island landscape that looks a bit like Hammerfell. The human eye can be trained to find significance in all manner of things, but this latest potential hint is no less enticing. This is the etching as seen in the trailer:
This is a map of Hammerfell:
Hammerfell is a large region and home to the Redguard. Its topography is pretty varied, with tall mountains, deserts, and simple plains, so it would make for an exciting setting. It hasn’t been featured in a mainline Elder Scrolls game since The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, so there’s a lot of room for a drastically different interpretation of it on modern hardware. For now, the state of Hammerfell remains to be seen until Bethesda shows the game again.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition Coming This November For Ps5 Ps4
Here’s yet another system for you to buy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on: PlayStation 5! Yes, Bethesda is re-releasing its behemoth RPG once more as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition for both PS5 and PS4 on 11th November 2021. If you already own the Special Edition on PS4, that particular edition can be freely upgraded on PS5, bundling in three new pieces of DLC alongside some visual and technical enhancements. There will then be a charge to gain access to the contents of the Anniversary Edition, which will be over 500 Creation Club elements.
Announced during a QuakeCon livestream, this 10th-anniversary version is essentially the Special Edition repackaged with over 500 Creation Club elements and fishing. The technical details of the new PS5 versions are currently unknown. So, just to clarify, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is:
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
- 500+ Creation Club elements
“In addition to the three free Creation Club items mentioned above, this version contains the full game plus all three expansions and over 500 pieces of unique content from Creation Club, including pre-existing and new quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells and more!”
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition and free PS5 upgrade for Special Edition owners will both be out on 11th November 2021. Will you be replaying Skyrim once again? Prepare yourself in the comments below.
How To Buy Skyrim Anniversary Edition Without Skyrim
Buying Skyrim Anniversary Edition without owning the base game is a bit more straightforward, as players simply have to buy it like they would any other game. However, it’s worth noting that the Skyrim Anniversary Edition is a bit steeply priced without owning the base game, so it might be worth finding a used copy and upgrading from there. The cost versus convenience doesn’t align perfectly, but it’s an easy way to save a few dollars for the upgrade.
The only other thing of note for those upgrading from the last-gen version to the current-gen version of Skyrim Anniversary Edition is that saves have to be imported between versions. Therefore, it’s wise to keep save files around until everything has been transferred between the two. Skyrim Anniversary Edition achievements also don’t cross between versions, so players will need to set about earning all of those again too, though it does gave fans more reason to play.
Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

What Is Creation Club
Creation Club is paid mods curated by Bethesda. The company got into hot water when it announced plans for regular paid mods several years ago, then backtracked, and later came out with Creation Club. The content there costs money, some of which goes to any outside developers who helped make it, but it doesnt replace Skyrims existing free mod community.
Creation Club mods are purchased with credits that cost roughly $1 per 100. If you were to buy all of the current Creation Club mods separately, it would cost well over $100. That is why Bethesda is calling Skyrim Anniversary Edition a convenient, high-value bundle.
Smilodon: Combat Of Skyrim
Skyrim presents you with countless tools to engage in battle. Regardless of whether you choose to be a spellsword or rogue archer, mage or dual-wielding raider, enemies can often seem unchallenging. You could increase the game’s difficulty, but even then the AI is still pretty mindless, so you might simply die from circumstantial instances.
Smilodon: Combat Of Skyrim makes every enemy more aggressive, significantly enough that you will actually feel endangered when fighting. Barbarians actually try to attack you simultaneously, you need to strategize your battles, and combat feels overall more impactful.

How To Play Survival Mode
Survival mode is an optional feature that can be triggered once you leave the caves of Helgen for the first time and properly enter the game. It’s a complete reinvention of the mechanics that actually demands the player go through the nuts and bolts of keeping themselves alive, including finding food, a good place to sleep, and curing diseases before they escalate into permanent injuries. A text box will come up when Survival Mode is available asking if you want to turn it on, but whatever you decide, you can toggle it in the Settings from the pause menu. There’s also a full tutorial of all the ways that Survival Mode changes the game in the Help section, also in the pause menu.
What Does Skyrim Anniversary Edition Include
Skyrim Anniversary Edition includes Skyrim, all three DLCs Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard all previously released Creation Club mod content, some new Creation Club mod content, and a brand new fishing mechanic.
Its not a better version of Skyrim. Its just Skyrim with more stuff. Itll be out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 11. It might also break any current mods youre using.

Even Better Quest Objectives
Some quests in the game can seem rather ambiguous, especially the one about the Stones Of Barenziah. The game doesn’t even give you general locations to investigate. No, it basically wants you to explore the entire open world, and keep your eyes peeled for 24 gemstones that could very well be anywhere. Literally, they could be in a chest, or entombed in a dungeon, you name it.
Even Better Quest Objectives gives you more detailed quest log prompts, that basically function as hints without giving away the objective’s exact location. That’s the perfect balance to be found for otherwise tedious quests.
Which Platforms Will Skyrim Anniversary Edition Release On
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition will release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with backwards compatibility on next-gen consoles. This new version of the game does not seem to be releasing on Nintendo Switch or PC, though we expect some kind of announcement soon, as this would be truly bizarre if it were to be true.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition: Da Oggi Disponibile Per Playstation Xbox E Pc
11 Novembre 2021
Skyrim: Anniversary Edition Will Run You $4999 Or $1999 To Upgrade
Skyrim: Anniversary Edition is out on Noveber 11, and Bethesda has provided pricing for the latest release of the title which turns 10 next week.
If you are buying the game for the first time, it will run you $49.99/54.99/ £47.99. If you already own the current release, the Skyrim Special Edition, or are a Game Pass subscriber, you can purchase the digital-only upgrade for $19.99/19.99/£15.99.
If you are a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S user, and own the Skyrim Special Edition or purchase the Anniversary Edition, you will receive a next-generation upgrade for the game for free.
Described as the most comprehensive edition of the game released to date, with it you can expect the main game and all of its expansions plus 500 Creation Club mods along with new quests.
The extra content also includes four Creations such as fishing, Survival Mode, the Saints and Seducers creation, and the ability to acquire more goods from Skyrims Khajiit Caravans.
As we have previously told you, there’s the possibility that certain mods may not be compatible with the Skyrim: Anniversary Edition release due to changes made to the Skyrim Script Extender, a plug-in that makes mods work with the game.
It’s quite possible your favorite mod may never work with the game again unless the creator updates it. So, if you choose to upgrade, keep that in mind if you are really into some of the current mods.

Surreal Lighting Or Rustic Weathers & Lighting
Skyrim can look truly amazing on PC. Although the PS4 lacks high-end graphics capabilities compared to expensive computers, Skyrim can still look amazing with the right mod. Surreal Lighting will do the trick, if that’s what you want to achieve.
Contrast, brightness, and saturation are most visibly affected and improved, and create vibrant environments that greatly beautify the game. Your game is going to thank you for installing this.

Why Is Fallout 4 So Broken
What do I do if Fallout 4 is crashing on Xbox One? Most crashing issues are related to a corrupted save and/or a bad mod being added to your game. Disable any mods added and start a « new » save to see if the issue occurs on a brand new game. If it does crash on a brand new game, uninstall/reinstall the game.
