Setting Up Your Twitch Channel
If you dont already have a Twitch account, and choose your name wisely. This username will be your persona and what youll be recognized as when you grow your channel. Also dont leave anything bare in your channel, so take some time by adding an avatar, your offline image, banner image, some panels, and entering some information.
Since were just streaming straight from the console, you wont be able to have any fancy alerts or overlays while youre streaming. But thats okay, by using StreamElements, you can manage your stream and you wont miss a thing!
When creating your StreamElements account, link it to your Twitch account and then itll take you to a dashboard. Head over to the Modules link under the Bot section.
Enable the Chat alerts feature, and from here you can edit all of the alerts that are available including customizing the messages.
You can also create commands and timer messages to help keep your chat informed like a !social command to share your social media links. You can also keep your viewers entertained by enabling mini-games such as slots or bingo, as way to encourage them to join in the chat.
How To Unlink Twitch Account From Ps4
In case of second thoughts, let me point out that you can disconnect Twitch account from PS4 in a very simple way: in the case of the service app, you just need to start the latter, go to theicona dell’omino located at the top right and select the item Logout give the menu check if you press.
In the case of content transmission, however, you have to go to the menu Settings> Sharing and Broadcasting> Link to Other Services> Twitch of the PS4, press the button Logout and confirm. Easier than that ?!
Creating A Twitch Account

What You’ll Need To Stream On Playstation 4
For a basic Twitch stream from a PlayStation 4 console, you won’t need much beyond these necessities.
- A PlayStation 4 for playing your video games and for processing the video capture and streaming. Either a PlayStation 4 Pro or a regular PlayStation 4 console is fine.
- One television set for viewing your gameplay and stream footage.
- At least one PlayStation controller for playing your chosen video game.
- The official PlayStation 4 Twitch app.
Streamers wishing to incorporate footage of themselves or a voice narration during their streams will need to purchase these optional accessories.
- A PlayStation Camera This first-party accessory contains both a camera and a built-in microphone. In addition to enhancing PlayStation VR gaming and enabling voice commands on the console, the PlayStation Camera is also necessary for capturing video footage of the player for Twitch streams and recording their voice.
- An extra mic While the PlayStation Camera can record spoken dialog from the player, it can also pick up echoes and background noise which can lower the quality of the stream. An alternative for voice recording is a separate headset or some earphones with a built-in mic. The official Twitch app for the PlayStation 4, which is separate from the Twitch apps created for computers and mobile devices, can be installed via one of two methods.

How To Start A Broadcast On Ps4
While playing a game, press the SHARE button on your DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller > Broadcast Gameplay and select a service.

Using the Remote Play app can be almost impossible for high levels of reaction based gameplay, due to significant latency between the PS4 and the computer youre viewing and recording from. Before streaming, you need to link your accounts. There are a variety of different services your PS4 can link with, but only Twitch and YouTube work for live video streams. To find the account linking area, follow these steps.
Step 1: Open Settings from the home screen.

Step 4: Select the service you want to use. Well be using Twitch for our example.
Step 5: Follow the instructions on the screen to link your account.

Step 10: Start streaming. Now youre streaming, but there are still some settings you can change while youre live.
Streaming Directly From The Ps4 Limits Your Potential
Streaming directly from your PS4 isnt an option you should consider thanks to its inability to provide an amazing viewing experience. When you attempt to stream directly from your PlayStation 4 you are only given a few options to choose through, when you are trying to create an immersive streaming experience this just isnt enough. You can get away with 720p 60fps but you really arent living up to your potential, and no overlays is going to seriously restrict your growth. What you can do instead is take the feed of your PS4 and transfer it to the computer so that can be streamed. Not only can you expect a better streaming experience playing-wise but it will also let you stream PS4 on twitch with overlay enabled.

How To Stream On Xbox One

The items that I mentioned as optional and/or suggested help the quality of your stream. I highly suggest being active in a community that has already been established on Twitch. The main reason is that starting your stream from the bottom, you will grow a lot slower than if you are interactive with an established community. If you are active, you can tell a few close people in the community and they can tell their friends and grow your channel a lot faster.Social media is also a good means of spreading news about your stream, which well look at how to share it from the PS4 in the next section.
A new PS4 comes with a cheap headset which will help interact with chat while you game instead of either remaining silent or trying to play and type. There are many other options for headsets if you desire something other than the one that comes with the PS4. I have PS Camera in the optional category as I do not use one myself, however if you want, the stream can include your face in the stream.
PlayStation Plus is a good investment in my eyes in that every month you will get a free game. Now, while most of the games on PS Plus for PS4 right now are indie games, they are still free and as more games for PS4 come out, the better the games will be. Free games can still be fun to stream and can bring variety to the content you provide. Not only do you get a free game for PS4, but you also get discounts on other games as well.
How To Set Up Twitch On Your Ps4
