Why Need To Transfer Ps4 To Ps4 Pro
In some situations, you have to transfer data from your PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 4 Pro edition. When you get a new PS4 Pro and plan to upgrade to PS4 Pro from your current PS4 or PS4 Slimmer.
PS4 Pro adopts the most advanced technology among the already existing PlayStation versions. It gets more processing power to display games in ultra-sharp 4K resolution with high-dynamic range on newer TV sets that supports those features.
Even if you are still with a regular 1080p TV monitor, with the extra horsepower of PS4 Professional, your games can still look much better as well as performance. Yet, that is true only for the upcoming high-resolution games instead of the old ones.
Make Sure Your Ps4 Is Fully Updated
In order for this process to even work in the first place, make sure your PS4 is fully updated to the most recent firmware update. Both systems need to support the file transfer process, have the same PSN account, and connect to the internet for it to work, so make sure both of your systems are up to date before you attempt a file transfer.
If you’re systems and save files are good to go, it’s time to start the actual data transfer, which is detailed in the video below and the rest of this article.

The transfer includes game and save files, synced trophies, folders, screenshots and videos, user profile data, and messages. Passwords for apps will not transfer.
Before you begin the transfer, pay attention to whats going on outside. Dont do what I did and sit biting your nails through the transfer hoping a power loss doesnt happen because a severe thunderstorm is trashing the area where you live. After youve checked the weather report, do the following.
How long the transfer takes will depend on your router connection and speed and how much data youre copying. I moved about 168 GB in about 45 minutes between a PS4 and a PS4 Pro.

Why You Cannot Transfer Ps4 Game To Pc
You can transfer PS4 game data to a USB drive no problem but to the PC these data files are encrypted, and the ability of your PC understanding these save files has been broken.
It is possible for your PC to decrypt these files so you can play your PS4 game data on the PC, but if your PC decrypted these files you wont be able to play it again on the PC, as the PS4 will not understand the game data anymore.
Transferring non-cross-platform games from PS4 to PC is only possible with Bethesda games like Skyrim, as certain coders have made tools that allow you to move save data from PS3 to PC, so these tools are very platform and game-specific.
For a game that is not Skyrim to be moved from PS4 to PC like Witcher 3, someone needs to create a tool for that game for PS4 which is not easy to do. and takes a lot of time to create.
If your game data is cross-platform like Fortnite or Rocket league, everything is saved on the cloud and very little is based on your PS4 so transferring saves is easy. To understand more about cross-platform gaming and how it works, please check this post.
But why would developers not make cross saves more possible? Different consoles and PCs have different BIOS which is is the console or PCs output/input system, that affect how your device boots up after you turn it on, and different decoding options making cross saves difficult to create.

The PS5 offers something called Data Transfer, which, as the name suggests, lets you transfer all data from your old console to your new one. This is done via an internet connection, and you can either complete the whole thing wirelessly or by using ethernet cables.

When you select this last option, the PS5 will show more information about what data will be moved from your PS4, and will tell you that it wont be removed from your PS4.
Youll then be asked to prepare for the data transfer by making sure that both of your consoles are turned on and connected to the same network.
When you hit Continue, youll be given a five-minute countdown. Youll have to press your PS4s power button for one second until it beeps before the countdown ends.
