What Is The Ps5 Dualsense Controller Like

PS5 release date and price – UK, Europe and the US

Modern looking, immersion, wireless and no need for a headset those are your top wins of the new DualSense controller.

The new PS5 DualSense controller builds on the merits of the current DualShock controller. The key for Sonys new PlayStation is the idea of a truly immersive gaming experience and, through the new design controller, should provide a much greater feeling of touch. According to Sonys examples, this means youll be able to feel the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud and experience the tension in actions like drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.

Sony

The DualShock 4s Share button has been replaced with a Create button-the addition is a way for players to create epic gameplay content to share with the world, or just to enjoy for themselves.

There is also a built-in microphone, which will mean gamers can jump in and out of conversations easily without necessarily needing a headset to do so. It is, of course, wireless too and as for charging it, a one hour charge will give you six hours of gameplay.

A firm based in Argentina called Evzen have also shared some close-up shots of the controller on and it displays not only the printed, iconic, symbols on the buttons, but they are etched in across the whole controller.

There are also rumours that the controller could be designed to recognise you based on how you hold it. We do not expect this to be featured at launch but it will quite the nifty update should it ever come along.

God Of War: Ragnarok Release Date

God of War: Ragnarok is due to release in 2022 on PS5 and PS4, following a delay from its initial 2021 release window.

There was already speculation that Ragnarok could be delayed, given that Sony hadn’t mentioned the sequel in its plans for 2021 since the game’s announcement. Sony Santa Monica Studio confirmed the delay in June 2021, releasing a statement on Twitter.;

We had hoped the PlayStation Showcase 2021 would give us a more concrete date, but we weren’t so fortunate.

Ps5 Ssd Upgrade Release Date

The rumour mill has long had Summer as the expected release date for the SSD upgrade. However, here we are well into July, and still, no official date has been given.

We do know that Sony has invited gamers to participate in Beta testing for a major system update packed with new features. This is due to release later this year. Whether this will include the support for the M.2 expansion slot remains to be seen. But theres certainly a good chance that it could get included in a major system update.

According to Finder, Seagate will release its FireCude 530 NVMe m.2 PCIe SSD in August 2021, which will be compatible with the PS5.

We have done some testing with Sony on the PlayStation 5 and today we can confirm that the FireCuda 530 with the heatsink has met all the PS5 requirements, said Jeff Park, Country Manager for Seagate Technology, ANZ.

Specifications Of The Hardware Components For Ps5

Sony has not yet revealed any details about the PS5 but there are rumors about its design. Sony has not made major changes to its design, buttons, or shape as yet. However, anything is possible before the rumored launch next January. The ps5 will also be built on technologies from AMD, according to rumors. The new PS5s eight-core processor will be powered by the AMD third-generation Ryzen processors and the 7 nm Zen 2 architecture. The GPU of the PS5 will be rumored to have been designed using the Navi line graphics cards.

Rumours suggest that the GPU will support real-time Ray Tracing, an amazing rendering technique developed by Nvidia, the AMDs competitor in 2018. Sony has yet to confirm whether the GPU for the new PS5 will support ray tracing features that are entirely hardware-based. Sony currently promises that the new console will support resolutions of up to 8K, and that the frame rate will be 120 Hz.

The PS5 will also include a custom-made chip for 3D audio. This will allow the PS5 create an immersive gaming atmosphere with Dolby Atmos or DTS:X. For gamers who are completely disc-based, it will be a visual treat. Surprisingly, the PS5s biggest upgrade over previous generations of gaming consoles is a solid state drive. This is an upgraded version of the traditional hard drive that was designed for gaming. This will greatly reduce load times and encourage game developers to create larger and more complex games.

The Ps5 Will Get A New Dualsense Controller

In April 2020, Sony’s Hideaki Nishino took the world by surprise when he unveiled the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller on the PlayStation Blog. According to Nishino, The DualSense pad will include new haptic feedback technology that “adds a variety of powerful sensations you’ll feel when you play, such as the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud.”;The DualSense also features adaptive triggers so you can “truly feel the tension of your actions.”

Simply put, the new controller introduces tactile sensations we’ve never experienced before in the gaming world.

The DualSense will not have a “Share” button anymore. It has been replaced with a “Create” button, which will allow players to create their own gameplay content. Nishino says that the company will release more information about this feature at a later date. The controller also has a built-in microphone for in-game chat. The light bar has been repositioned to make it “pop” more, as Sony puts it. Longer battery life will be a priority. And the pad features an interesting black and white two-tone design, which has become the inspiration for countless memes.

There’s no word yet on how much the;DualSense will cost by itself.

What About Ps5 Backward Compatibility

Sony has confirmed that the PS5 will be able to run all PS4 titles, but what about the vast gaming libraries of veteran PlayStation fans? The company has yet to confirm how far back the PS5’s backward compatibility will reach, but Ubisoft might have leaked Sony’s backward compatibility plans on August 31 and gamers were not pleased.

The game publisher posted a brief rundown of how upgrading from a current-gen to next-gen consoles will work. This announcement initially contained a disappointing statement for anyone expecting to be able to play their PS2 games on the PS5:

Backwards compatibility will be available for supported PlayStation 4 titles, but will not be possible for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation games.

The company has since removed this statement but not before fans expecting to be able to play their entire back catalog of PS games were dishearten by the update. So don’t toss your old consoles in preparation for the PS5 launch, you’re still going to need them if you want to play old games you have lying around.

What Ps5 Pro Games Will There Be

“How to Pre order ps5” – RELEASE DATE, price (Playstation 5)

Even though the PS5 Pro will boast a much more powerful system architecture than the standard PS5, it likely wont have any titles that cannot be played on the standard PS5 console. The reason for this is that it would make little sense for Sony to forcefully fragment its user base in this way. Again, we would expect a similar situation to what we have now with the PS4 and PS4 Pro systems to unfold whereby they both play exactly the same games, but the latter boasts performance improvements over the former.

We hope you found this bit of speculation useful, if not fun. Keep this page bookmarked and well be sure to update it with all the latest PS5 Pro release date, price and technical specification information as soon as it appears.

Does Deathloop Have Ps5 Exclusive Features

As a timed PS5 exclusive, Deathloop is taking advantage of the PS5’s unique features. Mainly, Deathloop will use the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the PS5âs controller with guns in the game. According to the game’s PlayStation Store page, these are required and can’t be turned off.

In an August 2020 PlayStation Blog post, Game Director Dinga Bakaba says that these features “will bring some physicality in-game experiences and give important feedback.” Every weapon feels different and guns can jam, and all of this is communicated through the DualSense’s features.

We don’t know how these mechanics will work on other platforms. While Microsoft will technically be connected to this game upon its release, it is one of the coolest showcases for the DualSense controller yet.

Deathloop will be released for PC and PS5 on May 21, 2021.

Ps5 Review: Backwards Compatibility

The PS5 works with nearly all PS4 games, which is a huge step up from Sonys complete lack of backwards compatibility last generation. I tested close to a dozen PS4 games on PS5, including The Last of Us Part II, God of War, Mortal Kombat 11, Tetris Effect and Resident Evil 2, and almost all of them loaded faster and ran better than they did on my launch PS4. Both digital and disc-based PS4 games worked without a hitch on my PS5, and my physical movies worked just fine on the systems 4K Blu-ray drive.

The PS5 allows you to take advantage of any PS4 Pro enhancements a game offers, so games that have higher resolution or frame rate modes benefit the most from Sonys new console. As someone coming from a launch PS4, the ability to finally enjoy God of Wars high-frame rate mode or play Tetris Effect in 4K felt almost worth the price of admission on its own .;

The PS5 is designed to work with most first-party and officially licensed PS4 accessories, and I had no issues bringing my existing last-gen gear over. Pairing my DualShock 4 to the PS5 was as simple as plugging it in via USB cable, and my existing headsets worked just fine with the DualSenses 3.5 mm audio jack.

Third-party wired controllers, such as my Hori Fightpad and Victrix Pro FS Fight Stick, also worked perfectly as I mashed buttons in Mortal Kombat. Just keep in mind that the DualShock 4 only works with backwards compatible PS4 games, so you wont be able to use it for PS5-only titles.

Will The Ps5 Play Ps4 Games

For those who have sunk sizable investment into PS4 games for their existing consoles, it may be a relief to know that you wont need to chuck them all out when your shiny new PS5 finally arrives as PS5 backwards compatibility details have been revealed.

PlayStation has stated that the overwhelming majority of current PS4 games will be able to be played on the new PS5. At the moment, you can also get Disney+ on PS4 as well.

However, any new PlayStation releases that come out once the PS5 is here will only be playable on the new console- although Miles Morales will be out on the PS4 too.

Sony Playstation 5 Design

The Sony PS5 console as seen in the image above stands vertically and sports a black and white design that matches the all-new DualSense controller. Its also worth noting that there are two versions of the console the standard console and the slimmer Digital Edition. Both have the same basic design, with the latter missing an optical drive.

Both consoles are also massive. Theyre the largest home consoles ever released and are more on par with a PC tower when it comes to space requirements. Keep this in mind before purchase or it might have to live on the floor in front of your TV.

While the console ships with a futuristic black and white color scheme, the side panels are easy to remove. Sony has nixed the idea of custom panels for now . Nevertheless, you can buy vinyl skins to give your PS5 a more customized look.

Another benefit of the new removable panels is that its much easier to clean dust from the fans. This should help the console run cool and quiet, especially over time. In our PS5 review, we noted that the console runs quiet, but as dust builds up over time that might change.
