  • Terraria Mobile
  • For getting the mobile version of the game, players need to first purchase the game on the appropriate iOS or Android platform. The cost is $4.99 for both IOS and Android. It looks a bit expensive but since the amount of content with this update is massive, it can be said that this price is suitable.

  • Terraria Console
  • The PC platform received the 1.4 update earlier than the mobile and console versions, followed by the mobile release on October 20. The date for a console release is still not announced yet but players can expect it on their consoles soon enough.
  • What Is The Terraria Journey’s End Update

Terraria 1.4, or Journey’s End, was a huge content update that was released on May 16, 2020. It arrived on the ninth anniversary of Terraria and included some huge additions, including the creative Journey Mode and the ultra-difficult Master Mode.

The update was oozing with content, including two new bosses , a Bestiary that helped players finally organize the complex world of Terraria, and a new town system that allowed better management and interaction with NPCs.

What Do I Need To Do In Order To Play With Friends On Different Platforms

In most cases, you and your friends will need to be using the same platform. However, there are some exceptions. For example, Terraria is cross-platform between PC and Mobile devices. This means that if you are playing on your computer, friends using their phone can join you.

Terraria PS4 Version: Journeys End – 1.4 All Item World by Dynamite298

Journey’s End was released in May 2020 for PC and then later in the year for mobile, meaning that 1.4 is now only not available on consoles. This has left some console players curious as to why the update is taking so long to come to their platform.

This is down to a transition of developers working on Terraria Console Edition. The console version up until version 1.3 was handled by 505 Studios, and elements were ported from PC to console by Pipeworks Studios. After some development issues, the project was later handed over to DR Studios, the same team that worked on Terraria Mobile.

Pros And Cons Of Being Able To Play Terraria On Multiple Platforms

Some advantages of being able to play Terraria on multiple platforms are,

    • The game is no longer limited in its exposure to players who can only play on one particular platform.
    • Players have more potential friends, guild members, and possible collaborators .
    • It simplifies and makes multiplayer and co-op play more efficient, as players will always be able to find other like-minded people to play the game with.

Some disadvantages of being unable to play Terraria on multiple platforms are,

    • Console manufacturers like Sony or Microsoft would likely want a cut of the profits made when selling Terraria on their respective platforms.
    • Terraria would be considered a new release on each console, and this could then mean players will have to purchase it multiple times.
    • Having to manage different versions of the same game can lead to various bugs and glitches.

However, developers have to overcome several obstacles and challenges before they can make a truly cross-platform game: for example, some of the most critical problems include:

    • Ensuring that all platforms have the same features and content available to them.
    • Ensuring that contact with other players from different platforms is kept functional and consistent.
    • Maximizing the number of players who can play on a single server while minimizing the risk of hacking or cheating.
    • Maximizing cross-platform compatibility with other games and applications while avoiding any possible incompatibilities caused by said games and applications.

Will The 14 Update Release On All Consoles At The Same Time

    Terraria

In those same State of the Game updates, Re-Logic has consistently stated that they’d like to see Terraria 1.4 release simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. However, with the Alpha version already live on Xbox, it’s likely that the platform might be getting some early special treatment.

Back in October, Re-Logic stated that the Nintendo Switch was “obviously” a different type of console, and required unique UI modifications to make the game as playable as possible. As such, the Switch update might arrive slightly later than the two other consoles.

Terraria 1.4 for Console – Everything We Know (XBox, PS4, Switch)

At the end of last year, Re-Logic announced in their November State of the Game that they hoped there might be an “end of year gift” in the form of an Alpha version of Terraria 1.4, essentially an early developer build of the game.

It’s now June and there is yet to be any news about a playable console version of Terraria, although videos released by DR Studios suggest there is at least a basic version of the Journey’s End update that works on Xbox. Nothing has been confirmed about a playable Beta for 1.4 on consoles.

Weapons Like Flairon Frostbrand And Scourge Of The Corruptor Are Being Buffed Numerous Quality

Posted By Ravi Sinha | On 15th, Feb. 2022

Journeys End may have been the so-called last update for Terraria but Re-Logic is still at it. Update 1.4.4 is coming and called the Labor of Love Update due to the game winning in the Labor of Love category for the 2021 Steam Awards. The focus is to provide various balance changes and some new items, as revealed by ChippyGaming on YouTube.

Though many of the items are meant to be a surprise, Resplendent Dessert has been revealed. This essentially allows for summoning both of your Slime pets at the same time . Various weapons like Scourge of the Corruptor, Dark Lance, Flairon, Frostbrand and Star Wrath have been buffed to deal more damage in specific ways. For instance, Star Wrath now allows for multiple stars to hit an enemy instead of one at a time.

Quality-of-life changes include Angler Quests having the chance to give an additional furniture drop . A Planteras Bumb will also now spawn immediately once the three Mechs have been defeated. Another great change is that clicking on Eternia Crystal Stand can allow for skipping the wait time between waves when fighting the Old Ones Army.

Interestingly, once update 1.4.4 is wrapped, Re-Logic will be working on its second game. Stay tuned for more details in the future.

What’s New In The Terraria 143 Update On Consoles And Mobile

    Terraria PS4 Edition: Part 12

The first major addition of the Terraria 1.4.3. Update is the release of the Don’t Starve Together crossover content. This new content includes cosmetics, items, the new Deerclops boss, and the special Don’t Starve-inspired “The Constant” world seed.

Don’t Starve content aside, this update finally adds the Princess NPC to the game. The Princess is a Hardmode NPC who mostly sells cosmetic items, although she also has some other interesting goodies available under the right conditions.

This update includes content from Terraria Update 1.4.1-1.4.3, so there’s even more packed in here — the Celebrationmk10 world seed gives gamers the opportunity to explore a unique world in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary. One of the most noticeable changes is that a majority of the game world has been painted in bright, garish color, though that’s far from the only major difference — items are generally better and there are unique enemies to fight.

Also included in this big batch of new content is a vanity system overhaul, the ability to rename your character, and more you can read about all of the changes in the full Terraria 1.4.3 Update patch notes. If you haven’t yet jumped into this great sandbox Metroidvania, you can buy Terraria for PC, consoles, and mobile at prices ranging from $4.99 to $19.99 or your regional equivalent via its official website.

Terraria Console Update 14 Master Mode

Unrelenting, Master Mode will punish your every mistake and force you to prepare and up your game like never before. Do you have what it takes to prove that you are a Master of Terraria?

    Will There Be Console

Historically, Re-Logic has included unique content for its console and mobile version of Terraria. For example, the console versions have unique armor sets, such as the Dragon Armor, Spectral Armor, and Titan Armor. These are just Vanity items. They first appeared many years ago, including on the defunct 3DS version of the game.

Those items have since been removed, and it’s not clear whether the future 1.4 update will include any console-exclusive items. Many of that old Vanity armor and gear was only available on old-gen .

    What’s Next For Terraria

Oh, Terraria 2. It’s an idea that dates as far back as 2012, and Terraria fans are obviously keen to find out more about what’s next for the game. While the Journey’s End is an update that finally puts years of free content releases to bed, Re-Logic has said time and time again that work on Terraria isn’t over yet.

Just recently, the 1.4.1 patch for PC fixed some bug issues and even added some more extra content, such as some new Vanity sets from their Vanity contest that they ran via Twitter.
