Best Buy used to offer PS5 restocks on Friday afternoons, but the retailer has been known to restock on Thursdays and even on Mondays. In other words, it no longer follows a set pattern. A few things to keep in mind: Best Buy’s drops always occur during the afternoon hours and they always offer the consoles at list price: $499 for the PS5 and $399 for the PS5 Digital.
Hints Of A Black Console In The Works
There are other companies on the web offering black PS5 faceplates. But this no longer includes the folks over at Dbrand . DBrand famously said, “Sue us, Sony”. According to a recent Reddit post, Sony has called their bluff. DBrand have confirmed they received a cease and desist order, which they’ve chosen to comply with “for now”. Interestingly, they also make the following statement:
As far as conspiracy theories go, this is much closer to “Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself” than to “the COVID-19 vaccine has 5G microchips inside of it.” Let’s examine the chronology:
First, Sony launches a white PlayStation 5, white DualSense controllers and a white Pulse 3D headset.
Next, Sony launches black DualSense controllers.
After that, Sony launches a black Pulse 3D headset. We’ll let you speculate on what’s being blacked out next.

The suggestion from DBrand is that this action from Sony only makes sense if they have plans. Specifically, plans to either launch a PS5 with black faceplates, or possibly a licensing model to have a monopoly on custom faceplates. To further add to the intrigue, Sony has just filed a patent for the PS5 faceplates. This could, of course, be an effort to support their legal threats against the likes of DBrand.
Playstation : All The Key Details For The Next
The next generation of consoles officially began with the launches of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S.
Though the new console wave technically began with the launch of the Nintendo Switch, the latest console generation kicked into high gear once all three major console manufacturers had started competing with their latest releases. The Switch saw Nintendo once again go in a unique direction with a console-handheld hybrid, while Sony and Microsoft continued to build upon the established formula of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The biggest hardware selling point of the PlayStation 5 was the introduction of a solid state drive in place of the hard disk drive used in the PS3 and PS4. This allowed for significantly higher read speeds, letting data load in much more quickly. The PS5 also boasts higher specs than the PS4, but the SDD may have had a much greater impact than all the extra teraflops and RAM.

Ps6 Specs And Hardware
The PlayStation 6 will surely improve in more ways than the features listed above, but since we’re several years out from launch, it’s not very helpful right now to guess what kind of hardware will be available then.
In general, though, expect a PlayStation with an even faster, more-capable CPU and more responsive controls.
An entirely made-up, just-for-fun concept video released by DZ Migo is one perspective of the console in terms of the design. Similarly to the creator’s other far-out concepts, it shows the PS6 as rugged and dark, with elements presumably taken from various versions of the Xbox, starkly different from the PS5. Then again, Sony could go the complete opposite direction and choose something minimalistic, borrowing design aspects from older consoles. At least, that’s the idea with this PS6 concept from Yanko Design:

Ps5 Ps Now How Will Playstation Now Work On Playstation 5
On May 16th, 2019 Sony and Microsoft announced a strategic partnership that extends to their streaming services and also the sharing of game development tech an obvious shot across the bow of Googles Stadia platform. How this unfolds further down the line though, is anyones guess right now. All the same, these are exciting times indeed especially considering just how many games are on the PS Now service.
What we do know is that going forward, PS Now will be an increasingly stronger focus and it makes sense that PS5 would be included in that too. PlayStation Now, however functions pretty much the same as it did on PS4 allowing users to stream PS2, PS3 and PS4 games to the console. As before, the functionality to download PS4 games onto the PS5 console remains available too.

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic Remake

After many rumors began to circulate, the latest Sony showcase confirmed that a remaster of BioWare’s beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is on the way and it’s coming to PS5. Aspyr and Sony Interactive Entertainment are working with Lucasfilm Games to rebuild the classic adventure, which promises to bring KOTOR to a new generation with “modern tech, features, visuals, and more, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters” so many have come to love.

Should You Wait For A Ps5 Pro Or Buy A Ps5
While the existence of a PS5 Pro is purely speculative at this juncture, we do know that Sony has big ambitions in the 8K space. Before the PS5 launched, Sony was promoting TVs that apparently support 8K resolution and 120 frames-per-second that are “PS5-ready” on the PlayStation blog . Meanwhile, a massive Q& A explained that “PS5 is compatible with 8K displays at launch, and after a future system software update will be able to output resolutions up to 8K when content is available, with supported software.” If Sony is serious about 8K, VR, and 120fps, then that’s where the PS5 Pro will surely factor in especially as we’re yet to really see games deliver native 4K at 60fps with ray-tracing enabled.
Right now, there are widespread stock shortages of the PS5. It’s proving difficult to get hold of a system, especially with the best PS5 games, and a long list of amazing-looking upcoming PS5 games, vying for our collective attention. But if you can find a PS5 at RRP, if you’ve done your research on the console and the PS5 exclusives, and you’re happy with that decision, then we’d recommend going all-in. 8K graphics and a 120 frames-per-second future seems as speculative as the PS5 Pro right now Hell, we haven’t even seen what PSVR 2 looks like yet, let alone what its games will be like. Don’t put off enjoyment today for an incalculable amount of enjoyment in the future.

Along with smaller dimensions, the Slim models also tend to come with lower price tags. With the PlayStation 4 we saw these prices:

Sony didnt release a digital edition of the PS4 but with digital downloads being far more prevalent in this generation, it does seem more likely that it could appear. Whether the digital model would get the same kind of reduction remains questionable, but wed certainly like to see one.

Playstation 5 Price: Cheaper Digital Edition
There are two versions of the PlayStation 5: one with a disc drive and one without. It’s a strategy could well prove crucial for the next console generation it lets Sony keep at least one model more affordable while still offering a more fully-featured PS5.
