How Big Is The Ps5
The PS5 is a chonk. The console will be the largest iteration of Sony’s console ever and it will stand taller than any other next-gen Xbox.
The base model and the Digital Edition are nearly identical in size, the only difference the consoles’ height. The disc-drive-less version is slightly shorter. Here’s a breakdown of each models’ dimensions according to a PlayStation Blog post, these measurements do not factor in the size of the console’s base which will make its footprint larger when it’s standing up straight.

You sure can! The overwhelming majority of the PS4 games you own are playable on the PS5. Youll be able to download any games you bought through the PlayStation store on your PS4 and play them on the next-gen console.
If youve got the disc edition of the PS5, youll also be able to insert your PS4 discs into it and play them that way, too. Obviously, because theres no physical disc slot on the digital edition of the console, you wont be able to play any PS4 discs you own. From the trailer, we can see that despite taking place in the late 1800s, many Hogwarts traditions are still present. For example, owls still seem to play a large role at Hogwarts. As do the haunted decor items.
We can also see Hippogriffs in the trailer, as the narrator mentions the world outside Hogwarts. Perhaps you can travel the land using flying creatures like Hippogriffs?
We also get a look at a masked person in a few shots. Like all masked people, they appear rather fearsome. Perhaps this person is the game’s villain?

Sony confirmed that the price of the PlayStation 5 at launch is $499.99 and that the PS5 Digital Edition is $399.99, during its .
This corroborates a rumor reported by Spanish publication Vandalon September 15, which claimed listings for the PS5 consoles went live on the website for Spanish retailer El Corte Ingles. The two devices were listed for the cost of $499 and $399, which both turned out to be accurate.
Should You Buy Ps5 Or Ps5 Digital Edition
You can buy one of two version of the PS5 today – the standard disk version, or the Digital Edition. The former allows you to play your physical PS4 and PS5 games, however you can still access your downloaded PS4 titles on the Digital Edition as well.
The cheaper £359 PS5 Digital Edition doesn’t have a disk drive, but still runs the same specs as the full fat console. That means you can buy PS5 for less today and you’ll still be running the latest tech from Sony.
However, there’s only 825GB in this SSD and that’s going to fill up quickly, provided you don’t grab an external HDD for your PS4 games. If you’ve got a substantial physical collection already then it might be worth upgrading to the main console.
That said, it’s difficult to buy PS5 either way right now, with launch seeing an incredibly limited number of consoles hitting the shelves. While we wouldn’t necessarily advise settling for the console you can get , if you’re set on buying PS5 today you might have to take what you find.

Sometimes they’ll have a restock in the morning, other times in the afternoon and in some cases, even in the middle of the night. Here are some tips to help you get the jump on the competition.
First tip: Don’t wait until you see an alert for a PS5 inventory drop. Check the links at major retailers for stock updates daily or even multiple times a day. Buying the PlayStation 5 has been a struggle since release, but retailers have been making a steady stream of consoles available. If you have a preferred store, you should look into setting stock alerts with their online tools.
Third-party stock-tracking websites like HotStock.io can tell you when a store last had the PlayStation 5 in stock and let you set alerts for multiple retailers. A reseller who made more than $40,000 reselling PS5 consoles last year shared more specific tips on how to find the console online.
If you encounter issues while trying to check out with an online retailer, keep trying to refresh the product page to add the console and make sure the PS5 is available and in your cart. Ps5 Restock Tracker: Gamestop Has Consoles In Stores Friday More Expected This Week
There’s a lot going on this week, keep an eye out.
There has been a PS5 restock nearly every day this week. Amazon, GameStop and Target have all offered a PS5 restock week, on top of multiple PS5 restock events from PlayStation Direct last week. it’s been considerably easier than last month to get a console, but not every retailer has been offering up consoles. We’re tracking possible restocks from Walmart and Best Buy, which haven’t had any consoles for a while now. It could be that some retailers are waiting for Black Friday, which is less than a month away.
GameStop will have an in-store restock tomorrow, Oct. 29, separate from this week’s online restock. Like last week, if you want a console from this restock you will need to be in line early and ready to wait for a while. In some cases, there have been reports of folks waiting overnight to get their hands on a PS5.
The cities that will have the GameStop in-store event on Friday are:
- Seattle
- Detroit
- Philadelphia
If you don’t want to constantly check online for a restock, there are a couple of ways to get an early heads-up for online availability. The Best Buy Totaltech subscription service and GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards Pro service has been offering early access to the next PS5 restock as long as you pay for either service. Meanwhile, PlayStation Direct made it easier to register for the waiting queue to help deal with bots and resellers.

Where To Buy Ps5 Accessories
While the Pulse 3D wireless headset was extremely difficult to buy for a few months, stock for Sony’s first-party headset has now stabilized at most retailers. However, there are some fantastic third-party PS5 headsets worth considering too. Our personal favorite is the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro wireless headset other great options include the versatile SteelSeries Arctis 1 and the high-end Astro A50. Any of your existing PS4 headsets should work, too.
