After testing out the hotspot connection speed from my phone to my PS4 with a pay as you go SIM, I thought it was sufficient enough. Quickly being able to download a couple GBs of data in a few moments, and having decent performance and latency in games, I decided to switch to an unlimited data plan a few days ago.
After coming home and making sure I had all the same setting I had on my previous SIM onto my new one. Connecting with hotspot/USB tethering an internet connection was established however was drastically reduced in terms of speed. Especially in downloading which barely progressed to a gigabyte, and when trying to connect to a server in a game it’ll drop me out after every so minutes.
However today after looking through the community and trying the various methods to try and fix my problem. When trying to pair with hotspot, Bluetooth or tethering my pair device, the PS4, simply cannot establish an internet connection anymore.
Although on my phone where I’m sending this post from, the internet connection speeds are just fine.
