How To Merge Fortnite Accounts (On Ps4,Pc, Xbox, Switch & Mobile)

Thanks to Sony steadfastly refusing to allow cross-play for so long, you might have multiple accounts to play the popular free-to-play battle royale on multiple platforms.

Thankfully, the platform holder has now allowed players on multiple platforms to play together, and Epic had helpfully created a page to help you merge your PlayStation account to your Xbox, Switch, PC and Mobile accounts.

From September 2018 until May 2019, Epic Games offered players the option to merge two Epic Games accounts that met specific criteria. This was offered for players who created multiple accounts on different platforms before cross-play was available in Fortnite.

Account merging ended in May 2019. Now, there is no way to merge 2 Epic Games accounts.

If you want to connect an Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch account to a PC account, go to the Account Linking section on your main accounts page to do so.

That means youll have to settle on one account to use as your primary one and risk relegating your earned content to a secondary account.

How To Merge Fortnite Ps4 Account

The process of merging an account in Fortnite is straightforward and stress-free. This process is ideal for players with two or more accounts who wish to only play on one console or platform. The reason for this new feature is likely due to the days when Sony didnt want to come out and play with Xbox One and Nintendo and players needed to create an extra account.

There are a few prerequisites that must be met before two accounts can be merged:

    • One account must have played on an Xbox One or Nintendo Switch, and the other must have played on PlayStation 4 prior to September 28, 2019.
    • Accounts cannot not be banned or disabled.
    • The user must have access to all associated email addresses used in the Fortnite accounts.

The next steps will be permanent, so make sure you select the correct account. One primary account must be selected and one secondary account must be selected. Almost everything on the secondary account gets moved to the primary account, and then the secondary will be disabled. To be absolutely clear, merging two Fortnite accounts means the primary account will receive transferred inventory items while the secondary account gets deleted.

After the process is complete, your in-game items and V-bucks will be held for 2 weeks before being transferred to the primary account, so take this into consideration.

As for the actual Fortnite account merging, its an incredibly easy task. Here’s how to merge Fortnite accounts:

The feature was first introduced after the PS4 fiasco in 2018.

In Sept. 2019, Epic Games offered players the option to merge two or more Fortnite accounts on different platforms if they met a specific list of criteria.

The feature was first introduced after the PS4 fiasco in 2018 when Sony locked players from using their Fortnite accounts on other systems like the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, forcing players to create multiple accounts for the game.

Sony soon put an end to that charade and allowed players to use their accounts on multiple platforms. But those who had made separate accounts were left frustrated by the late decision.

When cross-play was added to Fortnite in May 2019, though, Epic disabled this feature. Cross-play allows mobile , PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Windows PC players to play together.

Although you can no longer merge accounts, you can connect an Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch account to a PC account. You can do this by going to the Account Linking section on your main accounts page and following the instructions.
