Is Hades Coming To Ps4

Don't Miss

Will It Ever Happen

Hades: 13 Minutes of PlayStation 5 Gameplay in 4K 60fps

It should be no surprise that there are a lot of PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X owners out there that are anxious to see Hades come to their particular platforms. In fact, a rumor has recently come out that Hades will be coming to Xbox in 2021. Certainly, Supergiant Games is aware of the interest in its slick roguelike title. Shortly after the game’s official launch, the studio’s official twitter account responded to a question about PS4 and PS5.

While the response didn’t go as far as confirming anything, it did say that the studio would be “considering opportunities to bring the game to additional platforms down the line.” This may not have been a particularly strong commitment, but it’s important to remember that this response was posted just days after the game’s launch. It took a little while longer for the success of Hades‘ full release to become apparent, therefore giving Supergiant Games the impetus to allow the title to reach the largest possible audience.

Hades is available now on PC and Switch.

Hades Is Coming To Ps4

Hades, the very famous rogue-like from 2020, has been rated in Korea for PlayStation 4, which basically confirms that it is coming to PlayStation 4. There is no mention of other consoles, so it is possible that Hades might be a timed exclusive for PlayStation as a home console. I would expect an announcement at some sort of State of Play event if this is true because Sony usually provides information on upcoming exclusives there. I do not think that there will be an Xbox One port yet. According to this rating, Hades on PlayStation will be published by Take-Two and Private Division which seems weird considering there is no Xbox port. There might have been a deal between Take-Two and Sony to make Hades a timed exclusive for PlayStation 4 as a home console since it is already out on Nintendo Switch. There is no information about a Next-Gen port for Hades either. Hopefully, they announce the console port along with the release date and more platforms soon, but as of now, all we do know is that it is coming to PlayStation 4, and it will be published by Take-Two Interactive and Private Division. I doubt if it will stay an exclusive forever, though, unless Sony made some sort of big deal with Take-Two.What do you think? Please let us know in the comments below.

Hades Release Date And Time On Ps4 And Ps5

Unfortunately, while the date is the same on PS4 and PS5 the PlayStation Store doesn’t confirm a release time yet.

It’s safe to assume that Hades will be dropping at midnight in player’s own time zones as this is the norm for PlayStation titles.

We’ll update this post should anything more official be confirmed.

You Probably Dont Need Me To Tell You That Hades Rules But Here I Go Again

Hades is too great of a game to be tied down to select platforms, so its wonderful to finally see it playable on more machines. The PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions are out today, and pre-release, I was able to try Hades on PS4 and PS5. This story-focused action roguelike game is, in a word, fantastic. Did you expect any different?

I imagine many of us have already dipped in, and there isnt a big exciting reason to download any of these new ports if youve already got Hades elsewhere. Supergiant has called them essentially identical.

Performance-wise, youre getting 4K60 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hades run at 1080p exactly what Id expect. It all looks nice.

I appreciated the DualSense feedback on PS5, but its less of a groundbreaking ooh and ahh generator like it was in Astros Playroom, and more of a subdued nice-to-have.

During my testing, which involved one weekend with the PS4 version , and then another with the PS5 copy, I didnt come across any noticeable issues. My only real gripe is that the PlayStation versions, in particular, are treated as separate games meaning progress wont carry over and the trophy lists are separate.

To be clear, you only have to pay once to get the PS4 and PS5 versions, and Xbox is all-encompassing with Smart Delivery, as usual. They all cost $25.

You likely wont feel the urge to double dip with Hades on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S , and thats okay.

Popular Indie Game Hades May Come To Ps5 Ps4 ‘down The Line’

If you’ve been keeping your ear close to the ground and are a big fan of indie titles, there’s a pretty good chance that Hades is already on your radar. The latest game from Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre developer Supergiant Games has been making waves since its recent 1.0 PC release as well as a port to Nintendo Switch, so you might be wondering if there’s any chance of a PlayStation 4 port or even a PlayStation 5 version. And while there hasn’t been any official confirmation, the future does look bright for this trip to hell and back.

Responding to a fan on Twitter, the official Supergiant Games account said: “We’ll be considering opportunities to bring the game to additional platforms down the line.” So, the team isn’t committing to anything right now, but it definitely looks like an avenue it will explore in the near future. A PS5 release in early 2021 sounds perfect to us given the possibility of a next-gen content drought.

Why There Is No Playstation Or Xbox Versions Of Hades

The simplest answer to the question of why Hades launched on so few platforms is that Supergiant Games is an indie studio. With a staff of around 20 at the time of development, the studio decided that it couldn’t handle simultaneous development on multiple platforms. Following the initial announcement of the game, Supergiant had spoken with Epic Games and learned of their intention to launch an independent store.

The studio decided that a launch on the Epic Games Store would be a boon for Hades, which led to the game being an Epic timed-exclusive. Since the game’s release, it’s been revealed that one of the things that attracted the indie studio to the Epic Store was its focus on content creators. Supergiant Games understood that Hades was the kind of game that would appeal to streamers, and wanted to capitalize on that interest.
