What Are The Main Exclusives For The Ps5
Sony has long used exclusive partnerships with game publishers to help convince people to choose the PlayStation over the Xbox. This happens through games made only for PlayStation, as well as multi-platform titles with certain features only available for PlayStation.
The strategy will continue in the first year of the PS5.
Below are some of the most notable exclusives Sony acquired for the near-future:

Skull & Bones: Release Date And Platforms
When Skull and Bones was announced it was only confirmed to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Though, back then, it was due for release in 2018.
After many delays, and the launch of the new generation of consoles, Skull and Bones has now dropped PS4 and Xbox One. It’ll still be on PC but instead, it’s coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, too.
There have been reports of Skull and Bones’ development troubles, which we’ll go into more below, but we started getting hints that Ubisoft was getting ready to announce a new released ate when, back in March, the game’s website received a redesign.
Another hint was that during an earnings call in February 2022 ), Ubisoft stated that it is aiming to release Skull and Bones during its next fiscal year starting April 2022, which meant the developer was naming to release the game by at least April 2023.
We now know, thanks to an Ubisoft Forward that Skull and Bones will actually be coming out this year, on November 8, 2022. That’s only day before God of War Ragnarok.
Playstation 5 Stock Shortage
Sony had planned on the production of 5 million PlayStation 5 games consoles by the end of March 2021. But as the popularity of gaming exploded during the pandemic, Sony doubled PlayStation production to meet 10 million units by the same date.
Sadly, it wasn’t enough. In May 2021, the company warned analysts that PlayStation 5 shortages would continue until 2022: “I dont think demand is calming down this year and even if we secure a lot more devices and produce many more units of the PlayStation 5 next year, our supply wouldnt be able to catch up with demand,” said Hiroki Totoki, Sony’s Chief Financial Officer.
On 12th November 2021 the PS5’s first birthday Sony Interactive Entertainment boss Jim Ryan addressed historic demand for the PS5 in a PlayStation.Blog post. Ryan admitted that “inventory constraints remain a source of frustration for our customers” and said that Sony is “laser-focussed” on shipping as many console units as possible.
It all sounds very positive but the truth is, the company expects to produce one million fewer consoles 15 million, rather than 16 million in the financial year ending March 2022.
With the emergence of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, it seems that chip shortages are set to continue this year and possibly beyond.
In early 2022, Sony decided to keep manufacturing PS4 consoles. The company intends to make an extra one million PS4 machines to compensate for the lack of PS5 stock. It’s certainly one way to tackle the problem.

Fallout 5 Release Date And Platforms
While there’s currently no confirmed release date for Fallout 5, there’s plenty of speculation. We’ve seen some optimistic predictions but given Bethesda’s focus is resolutely on Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 at the moment, nevermind that the game hasn’t even been revealed, we’re not expecting it for a long time.
As it stands, we’re expecting Fallout 5’s release date to be many years down the road, really stretching the previous seven-year gap between Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 . At the moment, 2025 or later feels more realistic.
It depends on how far along the Bethesda teams are with each game. However, given that, in a November 2021 interview with IGN, Todd Howard said the studio has a “one-pager on Fallout 5” a broad overview of what they want it to be we think it’ll be a while before we hear anything more.
What’s more, speaking to IGN in June 2022, Howard confirmed that Fallout 5 would be Bethesda’s project after The Elder Scrolls 6. With that game still in pre-production and a release likely a few years off, we imagine we could be in for a long wait for the next Fallout.
Platforms for Fallout 5 haven’t been confirmed but it’s likely we’ll see the next Fallout release for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. PS5, however, is another matter.
Considering console lifecycles usually last about seven years, it seems likely we would see Fallout 5 release on these systems before the next, next-generation systems are going to be introduced.
Latest Sales Statistics For Playstation 5
The Playstation 5 has been Sonys top release yet when it comes to sales statistics. It completely sold out on release date and wildly surpassed the new Xbox Series X model in sales. They have sold roughly 2.5 million consoles worldwide.
On November 12, when they released to the US, they sold between 1.3 1.6 million consoles. The next week when they released to the rest of the world they sold nearly 900,000 more units.

Tips For Buying The Ps5
Buying the PlayStation 5 has been a struggle since release, but retailers have been making a steady stream of consoles available. If you have a preferred store, you should look into setting stock alerts with their online tools.
Retailers with membership plans like Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, , and the PlayStation Direct store sometimes offer subscribers email invitations, waitlist access, or restock alerts to purchase PS5 consoles when available. If you’re on the hunt for a PS5, you’ll have a better chance snagging one from the retailer of your choice if you sign up for their membership program.
Third-party stock-tracking websites like HotStock.io can tell you when a store last had the PlayStation 5 in stock and let you set alerts for multiple retailers. A reseller who made more than $40,000 reselling PS5 consoles in 2020 shared more specific tips on how to find the console online.
If you encounter issues while trying to check out with an online retailer, keep trying to refresh the product page to add the console and make sure the PS5 is available and in your cart. If possible, create an account with your preferred retailer and enter your payment and shipping information in advance to help the checkout process move quickly.

After many rumors began to circulate, the latest Sony showcase confirmed that a remaster of BioWare’s beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is on the way and it’s coming to PS5. Aspyr and Sony Interactive Entertainment are working with Lucasfilm Games to rebuild the classic adventure, which promises to bring KOTOR to a new generation with “modern tech, features, visuals, and more, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters” so many have come to love.

Present: Partnership With Sony
Around 1999, Sony was developing the hardware for the PlayStation 2. Yoshida, now executive producer of product development, contacted Cerny about helping to develop a graphics engine for the new console. Cerny accepted, and worked in Japan over a three-month span, being the first American to work on the PlayStation 2. Tekken 8 Announced For Playstation 5 At State Of Play First Trailer Includes Real
A PS5 Slim wasnt revealed during the State of Play today, but we did get a first look at Tekken 8 for the PlayStation 5. This trailer isnt just pre-rendered cut scenes, as it has gameplay taken directly from Tekken 8s story mode rendered on an actual PlayStation 5 console at 60 frames per second, similar to how you would experience the game in versus battle modes.
The development team vastly improved Tekken 8s playable character models to completely set itself apart from the current Tekken 7. Whether it be the small water droplets that run down the characters skin or even tornadoes in the background, youll find it in this installment. History Of Playstation 2
The PlayStation 2 was announced in 1999 and released in Japan on March 4, 2000, in North America on October 26, 2000. The PS2 went on to sell over 155 million units over its lifespan making Sony a dominant force in the game industry, beating not only Nintendos N64 and Gamecube, but also SEGAs Saturn and Dreamcast consoles. Despite, Microsoft entering the competition with the release of the more powerful Xbox, Sony held onto market dominance.
The PS2 drove the new DVD format to the masses and revolutionized gaming for a new generation. It was by far the cheapest DVD player on the market when the PS2 launched. Not only was it the next-generation game console, but you could also watch movies in crisp 480p on your CRTV with 3 to 5 channel Dolby sound.
While the PS2 had online support, it was severely limited when compared to Xbox Onlines service. You had to buy a PlayStation 2 Network Adaptor and use dial-up or broadband internet to connect to your game which ran on on third-party servers. Eventually, Sony released the PS2 Slim in 2004, which included networking ports on the console. Everything We Know About Ps5s Dualsense Controller
The PS5s new controller will drop the DualShock moniker of the four previous PlayStation controllers and be renamed the DualSense. The controller was designed to give gamers haptic feedback and comes with adaptive triggers so players get a better sense of touch and feel when playing a game.

- Its form and color scheme was completely redesigned. Its much more rounded and its primary color is white, with hints of blue and black. The lightbar is now located on the sides of the central touchpad.

What Is The Ps5 Dualsense Controller Like
Modern looking, immersion, wireless and no need for a headset – those are your top wins of the new DualSense controller.
The new PS5 DualSense controller builds on the merits of the current DualShock controller. The key for Sony’s new PlayStation is the idea of a truly immersive gaming experience and, through the new design controller, should provide a much greater feeling of touch. According to Sonys examples, this means youll be able to feel the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud and experience the tension in actions like drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.
The DualShock 4s Share button has been replaced with a Create button-the addition is a way for players to create epic gameplay content to share with the world, or just to enjoy for themselves.
There is also a built-in microphone, which will mean gamers can jump in and out of conversations easily without necessarily needing a headset to do so. It is, of course, wireless too and as for charging it, a one hour charge will give you six hours of gameplay.
A firm based in Argentina called Evzen have also shared some close-up shots of the controller on and it displays not only the printed, iconic, symbols on the buttons, but they are etched in across the whole controller.
There are also rumours that the controller could be designed to recognise you based on how you hold it. We do not expect this to be featured at launch but it will quite the nifty update should it ever come along.
When Can I Pre
The initial eave of pre-orders barely had time to be heard about before they were sold out. Round 2 was on September 25rh but that too went quickly.
Both Argos and Smyths were first out the gate at 08:00 but not surprisingly they were cleared out within minutes.
was also up bright and early with an 08:15 release, but the stock did not last long and they have already sold out too.
GAME was next to release a fresh batch, although the GAME preorders did not smoothly, followed by Very and Currys Pc World who sold out before we even really had a chance to see they were live in the first place. Fingers crossed we hear about round 3 soon!

What Games Were Shown At The Ps5 Showcase Event
Sony has always been a company that has put games first with the PlayStation and, as expected, they proved that tonight with some new games announced, and fresh viewings of some titles that we already knew about.
Final Fantasy XVI kicked things off with a stunning cinematic trailer that revealed it to be a PlayStation console exclusive although it will also be on PC. Then it was time for the Miles Morales game to show its stuff with a gameplay look that really showed how great the graphics on the latest console will be.

Next up was another surprise, a game set in the Harry Potter world called Hogwarts Legacy, which looks to be quite a special treat for fans of the book and movie series.
