How to Crossplay in Minecraft (PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC)(Bedrock Edition)

Minecraft has become much more than a simple game at this point. With it expanding its reigns on educative platforms, it is only expected that the game comes packaged with the core functionality.

However, being available on such a wide array of platforms also comes with its own set of risks. That being said, you cant do a lot if the game cannot run across multiple platforms.

As of yet, the Minecraft Bedrock Edition is playable between instances of Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mobile Devices. This also includes next-generation compatibility that enables platforms like PS5 and Xbox series X and S to play with Mobile as well.

Needless to say, there are a necessary set of limitations that can enable one to play across the mentioned platforms. However, they are rather timid, so unless youre entirely new to Minecraft, there shouldnt be a problem.

So Does The Playstation 4 Version Of Minecraft Have Crossplay

Short answer: Yes

In December of 2019, the PlayStation 4 version of Minecraft was updated to Version 1.99, which finally brought full crossplay to the game. Youll need a few things to get playing with other consoles or PC players though. First, you need an active PlayStation Plus subscription, as with any PlayStation multiplayer game. Then you need a Microsoft account.

Assuming youre already on Version 1.99 or newer, when you load Minecraft youll see the option to sign in with your Microsoft account. Selecting that will show you a link and an eight-digit code. Go to on either your computer or mobile device and complete the signing in process.

Thatll link your PlayStation 4 game to your Microsoft account, and enable crossplay with players on Windows, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Xbox. Sweet.
