How To Pair A Ps4 Controller To An Android Smartphone Or Tablet
Ports of PC games, especially indies, can often be found on Google Play. Nevertheless, touch controls are far from ideal for some of these titles. This is where your DualShock 4 comes in once again to save the day! Pairing it with your Android phone is incredibly easy. No need for rooting or installing additional apps! All you need to do is turn your Bluetooth on and follow the same steps as described in the PC wireless pairing above.
However, we do have to warn you that the PlayStation 4 controller might not be compatible with some games even if paired correctly. You can check out our list of Android games with gamepad support and test them out. iOS devices, on the other hand, do not work with a PS4 controller natively.

Issue : Dualshock 4 Controller Wont Pair With The Ps4
If your controllers light turns on but it wont pair with your console, reset your controllers settings to potentially fix the issue.
To do that, first, unplug your controller from your console. On the back of your controller, near the L2 button, you will see a small hole. In this hole, insert a small tool and push the reset button within. Keep the button held down for five seconds.
Your controller is now reset, and you may start the pairing process.

How To Personalize Your Controller With Ds4windows
Now that you have your PS4 controller connected, you can also personalize your controller depending on your preferences. All you have to do is head over to the Profiles tab in the DS4Windows application.

Use Bluetooth To Connect Your Ps4 Controller To Your Pc
For a bit more freedom of movement, you can connect your PS4 controller to your PC with Bluetooth. This will take a bit more setup than a wired connection.
On your PC, press the Windows key or open the Start menu, and type Bluetooth. Select the Bluetooth & other devices option. When youre in the Bluetooth settings, make sure your computers Bluetooth is turned on. Click on Add Bluetooth or other device, then select the first option, simply labeled Bluetooth.
Now, on your controller, press and hold the PS button and the Share button at the same time to enact pairing mode. After a few seconds, the light bar will flash and a moment later your computer should connect. If there are multiple options on screen, you can find the gamepad labeled as Wireless Controller. Select it and youre all set!
If your computer doesnt have Bluetooth built in, you can add it with a simple wireless adapter.

How To Pair An Xbox One Controller
- Open the settings menu of the iPhone, click on Bluetooth and make sure it is activated.
- Turn on the controller by holding the Xbox button, then press the Connect button on the front edge of the controller for 3 seconds.
- Return to your iPhone, Xbox Wireless Controller should have appeared in the Connecting to other devices section.
- Click Xbox Wireless Controller to connect. This will now be available in the list of connected devices.
- To cancel the pairing, click on the blue button next to the name and then on Forget this device.
How To Pair A Dualshock 4 With An Iphone Or Ipad
Open the Settings app.
Press Bluetooth. Bluetooth is probably already on, but if it isnt, flip the Bluetooth toggle at the top of the next page to green.
While the Bluetooth menu is still open, grab your DualShock 4 controller and make sure its charged.
Press the PlayStation button and the Share button and the same time and hold them down for a few seconds. The light on the back of your DualShock 4 should start flashing intermittently.
On your iPhone or iPad, you should see DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller pop up under Other Devices in the Bluetooth menu. Press it.
The light on the back of your DualShock 4 should immediately switch to a reddish-pink color. Your DualShock 4 is now paired.
Hold both of these buttons down at the same time for about two seconds.

Pair A Secondary Dualshock 4 Controller To Your Playstation 4
Your PS4 lets you connect up to four controllers at a time. To add a secondary controller to your console, you dont need the USB cable.
Using your paired controller, from PS4s main screen, select Settings.
Scroll down the Settings page and choose Devices.
Select Bluetooth Devices.
On your new controller, press and hold down the PS and Share buttons for about five seconds. Your controller will appear on your PS4s screen. Select it to pair it.
Your new controller is now paired with your PS4, and you can use it to play your games and perform other tasks on your console.

Using a controller is more comfortable than touchscreen controls in certain games since your hands will have a more ergonomic posture. Though many controllers are specifically designed to work with mobile devices, you may not need one if you already have a PlayStation 4.
PS4 controllers are compatible with Android devices, and you can get yours working with your Android in a matter of minutes.
Heres how you can connect a PS4 controller to an Android device.
- The first thing youll need to do is turn on the Bluetooth feature of your Android device. Make sure that its ready for the pairing process.
- Press and hold the PS and Share buttons on your PS4 controller to turn it on in pairing mode.
- If done correctly, the light on the back of your controller will start flashing.
Using Your Playstation 4 Controller With Your Pc
One of the most common reasons you might want to use a DS4 controller with your PC is PlayStation Now, the streaming game service that delivers PS3 and PS4 games to your computer. Once the DS4 is connected, all you have to do is install the PlayStation Now app and follow the setup instructions.

At this point I had to restart DS4Windows in order for my controller to appear in the list of connected devices. Once recognized, you’ll likely see a notification pop up letting you know that an Xbox controller is being set up. This is good news, as it means that your PC has been successfully tricked. You can now use your DS4 in any place where you’d normally use an Xbox controller, though the on-screen buttons will remain relevant to the Xbox hardware.

The PS4 DualShock 4 controller uses Bluetooth, so you’ll need to make sure your PC or laptop has a Bluetooth receiver built in. To connect the PS4 controller via Bluetooth, press and hold the central PS Button and the Share button for three seconds until the lightbar at the top of the controller begins to flash.
Next open up the Bluetooth settings on your PC. In Windows 10, click on the speech bubble icon in the Taskbar at the bottom-right corner of your screen. This opens up the Action Center from there click ‘Bluetooth’ and then select ‘Wireless Controller’.
You may be asked to enter a pair code if so type in 0000. The PS4 DualShock controller will now be connected wirelessly to your PC.
