You May Soon Be Able To Pre
We have all been holding our breaths for the PlayStation 5 for what feels like forever. We know that the next gen console will release at some point during the holiday season in 2020. But, we still dont know the exact PS5 release date. Still, we may be closer to finding out. How do we figure? Because there are already some retailers that are gearing up to send out pre-order notifications for the PlayStation 5. That means that soon, we may be able to pre-order the PS5.
Release Date And Price
The PS5 disc and digital versions will launch on November 12, 2020, in the U.S., Japan, Mexico, Australia, South Korea, and New Zealand, with the rest of the world getting the system a week later on November 19. Pre-orders went live starting September 16 at select retailers, despite Sony saying the consoles would go on sale the following day. Geoff Keighley originally warned fans that some retailers were making inventory available a day ahead of Sonys planned pre-order date.

Despite concerns over exorbitant production costs, the PS5 matches Xbox Series X in terms of price. The disc-based version is $499, while the all-digital version is $399.
As for games, the console will launch with , Demons Souls, and more. We know certain titles such as Madden NFL 21, Destiny 2, Far Cry 6, , and others will include free upgrades from the PS4 to the PS5 versions. Sonys first-party games range in price, with some releases being as high as $70.

When Will The Ps5 Be Back In Stock In The Uk
Since PS5 pre-orders went live in September last year, gamers have been grappling to get their hands on the Sony console. Both the Disc and Digital Editions of the PS5 console have been plagued with stock issues. Well over half a year later, the console is sold out across UK retailers.
When there is stock, retailers sell out within minutes of going live. There are even Twitter accounts such as PS5 Stock Alert UK that inform gamers of when new stock might be released to give them a chance in the world of crashing websites and virtual queues.
We dont yet know how long this misery will continue, but Sony is telling customers to expect the stock issues into the summer months at least.
When Was The Ps5 Released
The PS5 was released on 19 November 2020 in the UK and sold out instantly. Some of the people who pre-ordered the console on Amazon found themselves greeted with not a shiny new PS5, but a bag of grain, a grill or some cat food instead. Despite being out for more than a year now, the PS5 is still extremely difficult to find.

Some of the standouts are Elden Ring, Deathloop, Back 4 Blood, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Watch Dogs Legion. Considering a console usually costs £449.99, that’s over £300 worth of games as extras.
How Often Is The Ps5 Available To Buy
It can vary depending on region and various other unseen factors but we generally see PS5 restocks at retailers about once or twice a month. That’s just on average, though. At some stores it can be as often as every two weeks or at others as infrequent as every two months.
Essentially, it’s still far from regular even over a year from the launch of the console. That said, some retailers have settled into a fairly predicating rhythm that allows us to give you a solid idea of when to be ready to buy. GameStop currently only offers either the PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition as part of a bundle and these change all the time. Our advice? Check in regularly for updates on when the next set of PS5 bundles will be available to buy and what you can find in each one.
Where To Pre Order Ps5
Amazon appears to be the only retailer who is yet to open the pre-orders for buyers. So, if you are really keen to get the upcoming PS5 gaming console at the earliest, your only choice is to head over to Amazon and try your luck when the platform finally opens its pre-orders. Certain fans also claim to be constantly refreshing the page so they dont actually miss out.
If you are a Sony PlayStation owner, you can also pre-order the PS5 directly from Sony. However, the company is taking direct pre-orders only for select PlayStation owners. You will first have to register on the company website using your PSN ID at the link here. If you are selected, Sony will contact you via email before the pre-orders go live. In case you do not receive an email invitation from the company, it means that you were not selected.

It turns out the Sony PS5 pre-orders have run out on certain retail sites, with retailers like Gamestop, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy informing buyers that they are already out of stock. Interestingly, this comes within just a few minutes of the announcement from Sony with a full day still ahead of fans. And while that doesnt come as a surprise, PlayStation fans are now obviously looking for other PS5 pre-order retailers to be able to reserve a unit.

Ps5 Restock Latest News And Rumors
Christmas is just days away, which means we’re now entering the last-chance saloon if you want a PS5 console for holiday gifting. GameStop will be holding an in-store PS5 restock on Thursday, December 23. The console will only be available in bundles and you may need to be a PowerUp Reward Pro member to purchase a console.
Meanwhile, if you want to increase your odds of getting hold of a PS5 before the end of the year, then make sure to sign up for Sony’s invite-only PS5 restock registration. You won’t be guaranteed a console, but it’s a great way to get your email into the mix and potentially be selected to participate in future Sony Direct drops.
An interesting restock-related tidbit has been uncovered recently. It looks like US lawmakers are once again attempting to ban the use of scalper bots. This could have a seriously positive impact on the availability of PS5 restocks, although pushes for similar laws in the past have ultimately been unfruitful. Hopefully, this time it sticks and scalpers ruining restocks becomes a problem of the past.
The PS5 could become an even more desirable console next year, as Sony is reportedly launching Project Spartacus to directly challenge Xbox Game Pass. The new service would combine PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now and grant PlayStation owners access to a library of classic and modern games for a monthly subscription fee.
