Playstation Store Is Down

According to the PlayStation Network service status page and DownDetector, PSN is experiencing severe connection issues and disruptions around the world, making features like account management, the PlayStation Store, and social apps unavailable across PS3, PS4, PS5, Vita, and even some web services. Some users are also receiving error WS-37398-0 when attempting to login.
Account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Direct are all being impacted by the server disruption. This means you might not be able to sign-in to your PSN account, play games like , purchase new games from the PS Store, access video content, or launch apps and other social features.

UPDATE: Sony has acknowledged the PSN server outage, confirming that Gaming and Social, PlayStation Now, and the PlayStation Store are all experiencing issues. The Gaming and Social issues have the biggest ramifications, stopping users from launching games, apps and other network features. Sony is working on a fix. ORIGINAL: PSN servers are currently down, leaving PS4 and PS5 owners unable to play games online. The PSN server status makes grim reading for fans, who have complained about not being able to access the PlayStation Network. Independent website Down Detector has received over a thousand reports that PSN isnt working.
The outage tracker monitors social mentions around certain topics to detect when services go down across the world.
The Down Detector outage map shows that the PSN issues are mainly affecting users in the UK and Europe.
Interestingly, the server status issues arent showing up on the official Sony website, which claims all services are up and running.
Ubisoft has acknowledged the issue, leading to speculation that its just the companys games that are affected.
Were aware of an issue currently affecting connectivity for a number of our titles on PlayStation Consoles and this is currently under investigation, reads an Ubisoft status update.

If you struggled to access online multiplayer games on PS5 or PS4 today, you may have noticed that PSN was down — but it looks like Sony has fixed the outage … mostly, that is.
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 reported throughout Wednesday issues accessing online multiplayer games, with Sony’s own server network status site showing problems with gaming and social, PlayStation Now and PlayStation Store.
Some players reported that PlayStation Network wasn’t recognizing their PS Plus subscription , which was stopping them from accessing online play. We tested it out for ourselves and found we were unable to play several online games that require PS Plus, but could access several others that did not. But good news! The PlayStation Network is back online now, with the PlayStation network Server Status page now showing issues only with the PlayStation Now service. Sony has acknowledged the remaining problem and has said it’s “working to resolve the issue as soon as possible”.

PlayStation Network servers are down today, July 19, as the new cat game Stray is presumably causing an influx of folks eager to step into the paws of an adventurous orange tabby. according to both player reports, PS5 error codes, and Sony’s official sources.
At the time of writing, the PSN service status tracker says “some services are experience issues,” so it’s important to note that there are some components of the PSN that are still in working order. Also, for what it’s worth, we experienced no issues downloading games from PlayStation Plus and the PlayStation Store here on the US West Coast.
Still, PlayStation says a network outage will prevent some players from accessing parts of the PlayStation Store, account management, and “gaming and social” features more broadly. As it stands right now, Sony hasn’t offered any timetable for when these services could come back, and the issue seems to have been affecting players for at least a couple of hours.
As we’ve yet to hear any official word from Sony on a resolution timeline, all we have to go on is speculation surrounding the nature of the outage. And again, its timing coinciding with the release of the acclaimed Stray is likely no coincidence.
