Playstation Discounts One Of Ps4’s Best
PlayStation has discounted one of PS4’s best-selling games to just $9. However, the offer is only available for a limited time. More specifically, until July 23, all PlayStation 4 users can currently buy, via the PlayStation Store, Far Cry 5 for just $9. Not only does this represent a savings of 85 percent, but it’s the cheapest the game has ever been on the PlayStation Store.
The new deal is part of PlayStation Store’s weekly “Deal of the Week,” and also includes Far Cry 5’s Season Pass, which is also available for $9 until July 23, a savings of 70 percent. After July 23, both the game and its Season Pass will return to their normal prices of $60 and $30, respectively.
For those that don’t know: Far Cry 5 is the latest installment in the Far Cry series that debuted back in 2018. And while it was far more divisive than previous entries in the series, it not only quickly became the best-selling Far Cry game to date, but it’s the best-selling Ubisoft game of this generation.

Could It Work For The Vita
The question still remains whether it would be possible to release new commercial PS Vita games in this way? Crowdfunding could give Vita developers an option to create their games if they were fully costed in advance and deliver the finished games via itch.io. While the platform does provide the ability to allow developers to provide users with keys to download games in the same way that PlayStation Store codes can be redeemed, that would have some drawbacks.
A lot of Vita owners have been burned badly by failed Kickstarter campaigns. Ive lost count of the number of games I backed on the crowdfunding site only to have them refunded when the Vita port was cancelled. Its uncertain just how many PS Vita owners would support paying for a game in advance with such a risk. With the fees involved as well, it adds more pressure to developers.
In contrast, while developers would need to have a completed game up front, using itch.io would provide Vita owners with an affordable platform, offers significantly lower fees for developers and allows for a quick and easy update route for games.

Next up is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition, which is currently available for $9.99. It is worth noting that this special edition of The Witcher 3 includes all 16 DLCs and 2 expansion packs that offer players the complete experience in one solid package. Although it has been several years since The Witcher 3’s release, the game has seen a new wave of popularity thanks to Netflix’s TV adaptation based on The Witcher novels.

Metal Gear Solid 2 And 3 Hd Removed From Ps Store Today Temporarily

Multiple HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater are being temporarily removed from the PlayStation Store starting today as Konami works to renew “the licenses for select historical archive footage used in-game”. This means the games in question will no longer be available for purchase for an unconfirmed span of time, and a quick scan of the PS Store suggests they’ve already been pulled in the UK at least. However, while the publisher doesn’t make note of it in a press release, we assume you should still be able to download and play the titles affected if you bought them prior to today.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection has also been removed from PS Now. “We sincerely ask for your patience and understanding as we work towards making these products available for purchase once again. Thank you for your continued support of the Metal Gear Solid series,” Konami concluded. Games in the series have repeatedly used historical footage of wars to help ground some of its more ambitious plot points, and it’s these tapes Konami will be trying to renew licenses for.

PlayStation’s latest ad for the PS5 is meant to signify the upcoming console leap that is in store later this year.

Lets be honest: when we think about the PS5, the first people that come to mind associated with the platform are Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, John Entwhistle, and Roger Daltrey, right? Well, if that isnt the case for you yet, it might be after you check out the latest video for the forthcoming console.
To build up hype in the leadup to Wednesdays PS5 showcase, Sony today released a new ad associated with the next-gen platform that features a rather popular rock song. The commercial itself, which is titled The Edge features a number of boats that are heading towards, well, what looks to be the edge of the world. The edge itself is seemingly meant to represent the end of this current console generation, with the transition into what lies beyond representing the PS5 itself.
As for the trailers backing song, The Whos incredibly popular track Baba ORiley is subtly featured throughout. While the song is never outright spotlighted, the iconic opening keyboard section from the track is featured as a sort of undercurrent to the events of the commercial itself. It actually matches up pretty nicely, too.

Playstation Is Pulling Ps Now Cards From Uk Retailers
Its been reported that PlayStation has requested that U.K. retails pull PS. Now subscription cards from their locations.
According to GamesBeat, United Kingdom stores will have until January 21, 2022, to remove all these cards. Game, a popular U.K. gaming store chain, has provided the message sent to them by PlayStation.
Stores have until the close of day Wednesday 19, January to remove all POS and ESD cards from all customer-facing areas and update their digital bays in line with this weeks upcoming commercial update .
So far, only U.K. stores have been asked to pull any and all PlayStation Now cards. But if this is happening overseas, I dont think well have to wait long to see if other markets will be affected. However, the question of why PlayStation is pulling those cards has yet to be answered.
Many few that this is the result of the rumored merging of PlayStation Now with PlayStation Plus. As reported by Bloomberg back in December 2021, a new service from PlayStation, code-named Spartacus, will debut for the PlayStation. Reportedly, this service will provide gamers will a catalog of PlayStation titles and provide online access. Along with this, there are rumors of a State of PlayStation that will take place in January 2022 and will break the news surrounding the new service.
So far, PlayStation has not said anything about this new offering or the upcoming State of Play.
Playstation Store Reveals Most Downloaded Games Of 2021
With 2021 officially in the rear-view mirror, Sony has comprising the games that sold best on the PlayStation Store. One of these lists focuses on the PlayStation 5, while the other centers on PlayStation 4. Of course, there are significantly more PS4 owners than PS5, and no specific sales data was offered. Despite that, there are a number of interesting things that can be gleaned from looking at these lists. While many of the games on each list remained the same, their placement was significantly different. The Top 10 in North America for both consoles can be found below.

‘s second place spot on the PS5 top 10 is quite impressive, given the fact that it released in November. , PS5 digital sales for Vanguard actually slipped behind in the month of December. That says quite a bit about how strong digital sales for the game must have been in its debut month!
While 2022 has just begun, there’s already a significant number of games for PlayStation fans to get excited about this year, including major releases such as Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7, both of which are set to release in the first quarter of the year. The two games are slated to release on both PS4 and PS5, so it will be interesting to see where they place on these top 10 lists next year. The head start could propel them to the top of the list, or major Q4 releases could once again dominate. PlayStation fans will just have to wait and see!
