Arguments For Admin Commands

Some admin commands will ask for targets, so the game now which players or tribes to effect.

You might need to enter:

• A player’s Steam64ID from the Steam launch platform

• The UE 4 PlayerID number

• The UE 4 TribeID number

Allow/disallow Player To Join No Check

• admincheat AllowPlayerToJoinNoCheck < steamid> or < psn id=””> or < xbox id=””> < /xbox> < /psn> < /steamid>

• admincheat DisallowPlayerToJoinNoCheck < steamid> or < psn id=””> or < xbox id=””> < /xbox> < /psn> < /steamid>

This will either allow or remove a player from the server whitelist. Those on the whitelist do not need to enter the password upon entering the server.

Setting The Admin Password

Players who want to use admin commands on a multi-player ARK server have to enter an admin password first to authorize them, which is set in the server configs.

Only multi-player servers require this, in single player games you are automatically an admin, and you don’t have to “turn on” admin access.

The admin password for your server can be set on the Nodecraft control panel on the “Game Settings” tab, under the “Advanced” tab.

Enter a password into the box, and then make sure to hit the save button at the bottom of the page afterwards, and then restart the server.

It will not properly set the admin password unless the server is restarted afterwards.

Creating Your Own Ark: Survival Evolved Server On Ps4

A majority of issues regarding poor performance and crowded servers can be fixed by creating your own server. There are two ways to host a server on the PS4. The first being to run the server from a second console and the second being a little more complicated. The host can act as a server in which you or someone else can join a server that you host. The only limitation being is that the other player cannot be more than 200m away from the host due to performance limitations on the PS4. Below you will find a video explaining both the methods:

How Do You Enter Ark: Survival Evolved Admin Commands

To use an Ark console command, youll first need to open the console. This can be done by pressing the TAB key. If this doesnt work, youll need to make a quick adjustment in the games .ini file. Head to:

Steam\SteamApps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Config\DefaultInput.ini

Open DefaultInput.ini with Word Pad or similar. Scroll to the bottom of the document to find the line +ConsoleKeys=Tab. In front of the line will be a semi-colon . Delete this, save the .ini file, and the console should now work in-game.

Many commands will require the Enable Cheats command to be used beforehand, as well as the Enable Cheats for Player command. Be sure to use these before attempting to use other commands.

How To Use Ark Cheats

You can access the console in Ark by pressing the Tab keyyou’ll see a narrow box open at the very bottom of your screen. That’s where you’ll be typing in the cheats. To close the console, press Tab again.

In singleplayer mode, just type the cheats to enable them. In multiplayer, if you have the admin password, you’ll need to type ‘EnableCheats < password> ‘ before you can use cheats. Some cheats will require the prefix ‘admincheat’. In singleplayer, you don’t need to worry about a prefix. Just type them and press Enter.

How To Use Admin Commands In Ark

Before we get to the commands themselves, let’s go over the basics of using ARK‘s admin commands on console or PC.

Just press the Tab key and start typing your command.

Console

On PS4 or Xbox, you must first bring up the pause menu and press L1+R1+X+triangle . This brings up the command menu for you to start typing.

If you’re playing multiplayer you may need to enter the “enablecheats” command first, but in single-player everything should work without it.

For the commands to work, youll need to go to the pause screen. There you should be able to find an option to input the cheats at the top of your screen. In case you dont see this option, make sure that you have admin access and re-logged in to the server after giving yourself access.
