Update : Earlier this morning Target released and sold out of a new shipment of PS5s. It appears unlikely we will see any retailers making more stock available before Christmas, but rest assured we will keep vigilant as we approach the new year.
Update : A set of consoles from EB Games have come and gone, but expect more Amazon stock to arrive this week. Both the disc edition and the digital edition are expected to be on sale soon so keep an eye on those links.
Update : There have been a bunch of PS5s made available in Australia via eBay. Unfortunately, the majority of listings do not have a Buy It Now tag, and have already gone past the RRP for a PS5.
Update : On the 9th of November, EB Games announced they had new stock available for pre-order in store. As of today, theyve already pre-sold out and there are no updates on when more units will be available from them.
On the upside, theyre preventing scalpers from snatching units up with a $200 deposit and a one-per-person rule. Hopefully that means more of a chance for the rest of us in future.
Update : Starting from November 1st, The Good Guys have begun taking pre-orders for PS5s and will continue to over the next seven weeks. Orders will need to be placed either in-store or over the phone and youll need to drop about $150 on the required 20% deposit if successful.

Because of high demand, youll need to sign up for a Walmart+ membership, which grants access to the virtual line for purchase in addition to other Cyber Monday deals four hours earlier than other customers. It costs $13 a month but you can sign up for a 15-day trial in order to snag the PS5 before it sells out.
Unlike past restocks, the console isnt bundled with additional items. Instead, both consoles will be sold alone, alongside a DualSense controller, which means customers wont be pulled into spending more money. PS5 bundle prices can be eye-watering at first glance such as this $779 Newegg bundle with three games and an extra controller but they also sell out much more slowly than the console itself.
With that in mind, its worth considering a bundle if it includes stuff you were going to buy for your PS5 anyway. Just make sure the prices of those extra games and controllers add up to roughly what youd pay for buying each separately. The last thing you should do is pay a grossly inflated price just to bring your PS5 home.
